We are Pat & Giulia, a couple from 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇹 living in London.
We decided to go travelling and ended up living getting stuck in Malaysia during 2020 which spurred the creation of this channel, we're now back on the road after a lengthy hiatus!
We're Malaysian enthusiasts who enjoy discovering spots off the tourist trail and don’t like taking ourselves too seriously. We're not here to be vloggers or to be famous, we're not necessarily here to "inspire" anyone to travel either - just enjoy the spontaneous fun of it, weird situations and of course making local friends.

Big love

You walk into the Bazaar like an expert. Explaining everything to your parents. Perfect explanation. 😄👍🏻
They're seasoned travellers to Malaysia. 1st time they're here during the lockdown
😂🙏🏻 hope so!
@@VeggiesOnTourbro was so passionate happy for that👍🏻
@@VeggiesOnTour 22:15 btw that was not stones ah cmon dude😂😂😂 that is the seed cooked tgt
Ibu bapa awak nampak seronok, mereka mendapat pengalaman baru di Malaysia..Terima kasih kerana datang ke Malaysia.
They love it! 😂🙏🏻
Don't be shy to eat when you in bazaar because it doesn't bother anybody, muslim will totally understand it. Cheers brother.
They know the word respect
As a return, most other races who lived under the same roof do the same, so we tend not to eat infront of Muslim before buka puasa to show the respect. 😅
@@sebastianbarthezgreat ❤
Kami slalu bawa kawan bukan Muslim utk rasakan makanan kat bazar. Lol. 😂
@@sebastianbarthez thank you for your kind heart and respect
Mom is "kampung lady" 🤩 shout out to your mom.. 👍🤗 have a splendid stay in Malaysia ☺
😂💯💯
One of the reasons Muslims do fasting is to deepen and understand the feelings and conditions of the poor community who live hungry or do not have food. Therefore we will feel grateful to God and want to help the poor community. For example, we will understand how the Gaza/Palestinian citizens feel.
🙏🏻
Woww..bro..you verry experiance choosing traditional malay food. Pisang goreng, karipap, cempedak goreng, tepung pelita, bubur pisang..mantap! Apam balik in my state Sabah calling kuih bulan and we eat the cempedak seeds after peeling the skin. There have more traditional food your dad and mom should try because that cant be found in the western. Suggest Sunway Lagoon and Genting Highland for next trip 😄. Have a great moment with your family in Malaysia.

Ok bruhhh.. You are PASSED! officially Malaysians - talking Bahasa Malaysia, living wth the culture, practice the local norms ! 😂
Actually you can eat the cempedak seeds. Just boil them, they v nutty. As for tepung pelita, scoop it together with the green layer. They are meant to be eaten together. Eating the white layer only is incorrect.
Boil all d chempedak stone with some salt....hmmm i love them...
@@uv.v7jangan Di Tanya nanti semua depa claim
Ooh interesting to know that!
If they fry the chempedak well, you can just bite the cempedak flesh WITH the seed without boiling it. It will be a blend of nutty and sweet fruity flavour. I'd say the nutty taste will balance out the sweetness.
Terima kasih buat liputan sambil membeli✌️
I respect like your mom-dad hope Insyaa Allah your family always meet-find good people possitive atmosphears in every area every place when visit in Mlysia terima kasih-thx for share ramadhan moment in KL sending lots ❤ to all of you

Thank you for this wonderful video.
You cannot get enough Bazaar Ramadan despite me already been to 4 different places already , .lol . Your folks came over to Malaysia at a pretty good time experiencing all of this. Your mom is catching on pretty fast. " Sedap Gila!" lol . I had no idea Guilia loves Tepung Pelita so does my wife. Anyway, good job on there mate, Catch up with guys soon. Cheers!
Kampung Baru bazaar very suited for you as there are a lot Indonesian living in that area. You still can speak Indonesian so well since you visited Indonesia quite some time ago.
Tepung pelita is suitable for storing in the refrigerator and tastes are more better
Yes...SEDAP GILERRR...
Thanks for bringing your parents to enjoy the Ramadan bazaar👍

Welcome...welcome...VegiesOnTour family to our lovely peacefull n beautiful contry Malaysia🥰❤💕💕
😂🙏🏻
just say "saya nak 3", sounds more natural than "boleh membeli 3"
Benar! 😂😅
I get rusty in Malaysia because everyone speaks English di sini! 😅
@@VeggiesOnTourtakpe....practice makes perfect.. cakap saja dalam bahasa melayu, kita boleh faham kalau awak salah sebut pun...😁😁😁
The dish that you've never seen before is pengat pisang
U know all about malaysian food ,,salute
🙏🏻
bukan bubur pisang tapi “pengat pisang”, kalau guna ubi keledek kita akan call it “pengat ubi” becoz ada texture.
Tapi if texture like pulut hitam/kacang hijau, gandum then only we call them “bubur”, tiny texture.
But semua using coconut milk + gula melaka , daun pandan to begin with.
Oooh pengat Pisang!
@@VeggiesOnTourpengat is not a bubur/porridge it is actually a very sweet and sugary gravy isn't it
Good family,welcome to malaysia.
Thanks guys vlog bazar ramadhan ❤😁
Never feel tired to look at your videos, as always
Slow down bro 😂 still in London clock, stop stressing out, enjoy and let them enjoy. Love you guys and the video 👍🏽
🙏🏻😂
The most touristy Bazaar Ramadhan is the one in Bukit Bintang. Quite international, both sellers and buyers. Go visit them if you can.
Interesting - will check it out!
give us another year, i think you can speak Malay fluently
Semoga! 😂🙏🏻
@@VeggiesOnTour semoga dipermudahkan.. semoga saya lebih fasih dalam berbahasa melayu.. you can reply like that. . Only the word Semoga doesn't cut it because there is no subject.. got to add the subject after the word semoga to not left the word hanging
Cempedak seed can be eaten, normally I eat Cempedak goreng along with the seed.
Well done in taking your parents out and about. 👍

Hello there enjoy with your family in Malaysia.all the best.from Sarawak Borneo
Ahh Sarawak! Nyaman!
The cempedak stone after frying can be eaten, texture and taste like chestnut

Makasih yaaa! 🙏🏻😂
Your mom and dad are so lovely and cool. Walking with that crowd, post-raining some more first time, some people may get uncomfortable. But your parents stayed cool and steady the whole time and even smiling to others. What an energy. Lovely to see that! Please stay longer and experience Hari Raya too. You will be amazed with the celebration, the meaning behind it and of course the Raya foods and cookies! ❤
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 sudah tinggal di sini untuk Raya tahun yang lalu - ada video juga!
Salam Ramadhan.wc to KL Malaysia
roti john, originally created by local stalls those days as combination needs of all foreign traders and immigrant workers
Absolutely fantastic i love Ramadan Bazar very much.. ❤
nice to see u & your family at bazaar ramadan
thank you for promoting malaysia 😎😎
just a friendly tip : always use your right hand when giving & receiving money / goods. it's a culture in nusantara (and islamic).
I try to do both hands at the same time with a slight bow of the head, when giving and receiving when I’m not filming, but have you seen what I’m carrying? I’m trying to pull my wallet out, pay and film with my camera in my hands - you understand now? 😂🙏🏻
@@VeggiesOnTour terbaik 👍
Woww, welcome to Malaysia bro
Thank you for choosing Malaysia as your destination..
🙏🏻
Bring them to Semporna, Sabah there bunch of beautiful island
You have to eat the crispy Apam Balik and Cempedak Goreng there and then. All the fried food must be eaten on the spot bfore they become soft.
Right now, Malaysia hit by heatwave so make sure you wear light colour, airy material cloth. Do not wear black while you out and about. I think if your parents cant stand the heat, better bring them to dine in air conditioned restaurant. My place has not received even single rain drop for this past two weeks which is really unusual and out of the norm. Lets hope the heatwave do not last long.
💯🙏🏻
if go to bazaar ramadan next year, it a pleasure if ur friend can wear proper attire to cover the top of the body(below head)...muslim were in their fasting month...
Malaysian speaks Malay but not Indonesian Language. Most Malaysian do speak UK English
dia berbicara Bahasa Indonesia ketika berjumpa dengan orang Indonesia, bahkan di menit 10 dia mengaku saya belajar bahasa Indonesia di Indonesia ,, kasian loe 😂 🤣

Malay getting better with a bit of Indonesian, confidence is everything.. Good Job
Ahhhh....bazaar ramadan. I had meatless fried noodle with lots of rendang soup/broth mixed inside at my own request, not cheap but worth it. Reminds me when I have buffet of similar dishes at a hotel lobby wayback in 1995 when I was in the last year of middle school (I attend seminar).
Sounds top notch Terence!! Campur style! 👏🏻💯
you need to explore bazzar Taman tun dr Ismail (TTDI)& bazzar wangsa maju 👍🙏💯, and nowdays very hot weather please careful

Mantap Bro..... Nice Video❤❤❤
u guys should go somewhere other than KL like go to bazaar at Putrajaya also good place to visit!
We will! 💯🙏🏻
Cempedak is not a hybrid of Durian and Nangka(Jake fruit). It is a breed by itself. However, you can see a hybrid Cempedak + Nangka to leverage the size of Nangka and the taste of Compedak. However, the results are not as good as the Cempedak.
Interesting!
Aq xduduk kl tp dah boleh knl dah bazar ni..ramai naw ytuber buat video kt bazar ni..dah knl penjualnye😊
Haha ya, selalu bazaar ni feature di YT - tapi ibu dan bapak saya tinggal dekat sini
