The Motion: This House Believes British Education Perpetuates Racism
Neil Carmichael closes the case for the Opposition, as the sixth speaker of six in the debate.
Motion Carried.
ABOUT THE OXFORD UNION SOCIETY: The Oxford Union is the world's most prestigious debating society, with an unparalleled reputation for bringing international guests and speakers to Oxford. Since 1823, the Union has been promoting debate and discussion not just in Oxford University, but across the globe.
And what, pray tell, is the race(s) that Europe is racist against? He never said. Rather, he is merely self loathing and vaguely suicidal.
I have watched all 6 of these arguments and all of them are devoid of evidence; they are characterized solely by grandstanding and rhetoric which certainly disappoints.
@aljanat5 tally ho ya get me
@aljanat5 precisely my dear boy n ting.
Rambunctious ramblings with a smattering of urban panache.
Political correctness destroys this whole debate
Neil Carmichael's points are favorable to the PRO arguments when he is supposed to be the anchor for the CON arguments. His lack of CON argument is the reason for my dislike.
Never in entire education was I thought anything about a master race or being superior to others. No one told me skin pigment matters... or that murder and enslavement was a good move for the future.
I was taught maths and science, language and grammar...
The opposite of the truth .
Hard to grasp his point with all the interruptions. They interrupted him before he had a salient point to critique. He should have just batted them off like the other speakers, they added nothing to the discourse, save to further their own egos and it affected the cohesiveness of his speech.
I couldn't hear a word any of them said anyway. What is the point of having questions if they are inaudible?
he couldn't drop the political rhetoric and approach for this debate
Love this debate...life is not fair.
For a discussion about racism in education, Neil Carmichael blunders his way through the debate and astoundingly only mentions the word 'racism' twice in his argument!
No he stating the education is good but changes have to be made in our social thinking
This man is a clown! Typical politician. Seems to be living in a parallel universe. Said absolutely nothing of any worth whatsoever. Embarrassing!
aljanat5 - You are much kinder than myself. My opinion of him and this display of his 'talents' stands. Btw, he lost his seat at the election. 😂😂😂
No numbers of votes in the description?
That's a bit... well, not transparent.
:monocle:
Jeez. Rich kids getting angry about social issues. Hand me the bucket
Where do you think the racist in America ancestors come from smdh
That Chinese kid again.
yeah he's woke as shit and annoying
@@charlene2459 *What do you mean by 'woke'?*
@@haza123b4 know-it-all, thinks he's on the right side of history, makes the same leftist talking points, follows the SJW herd etc.
This man did not once touch on the subject matter but he's to removed being an older white man.
Racist.
@@angelolau4393 Exactly 💯
No substance.
This guy's voice, accent, and the inflections in his speech remind me of Enoch Powell. :/
He actually did have a valid point
His whole argument is Britain less racist than other Europe countries,
@@darkstar4102 so?
@@sTL45oUw so. is has no point whatsoever, Kehinde destroyed his baseless argument and proved Brattain has intuitional racism
@@darkstar4102 if that's how you choose to see it that's fine with me, have great weekend.
