Thanks a million times for this viddd. I am working on my 2010 650 brute force and ur step by step instructions got the job done for me me....thanks again so much!!!!!.. Ray from Colorado
Its a well known fact that it is harder to put something back together than to take it apart. I wish some one would make a video showing how to put these carburetors back on.
I have an 03 prairie 650 rebuilt carburetor twice and did valve adjustment. I can go over 25 mph without backfiring and loosing power. If I ease into it really slow I can go fast but that’s it. No blinking lights. Please help! One question I had does one diaphragm flutter at idle? It’s only one the other stays still.
i have a 2007 kawasaki BF 650 and it wont start with electric start but starts first pull with pull cord, once its running it wont idle and pops in the air box, i cleaned carbs do you know what this could be?
Everything ATV-UTV-Reviews thanks, I found the issue. Previous owner adjusted valve wrong. They were way too tight. Also park plug was cross threaded and didn't reach the bottom on the head, I tried taking the spark plug out and it snapped and was unable to get it out. So I need to buy a new head
The fuel in my 2006 KVF650 is pouring out of the carb overflow pipe. I opened the carb up for the first time ever and it looks spotless which is hard to believe. The floats don’t seem to be sticking like I was told is a cause for overflowing. Is there anything else I should be doing to cure this?
@@gogogo1064 I rebuilt the carb. New needles even though the old ones were fine but I needed new diaphragms as they were all split. Gave it a good clean also. That’s all I can mind.
Are the steps the same for a 2002 Prairie 650 4x4? I need to clean my carbs/tune them. My problem is the following: Wont idle ever, only runs with full choke, fires through either front or rear carb, I am missing the drain hoses from the airbox, and finally but not least, I need a new air filter
Everything ATV-UTV-Reviews it runs strong with the air filter off but when on it starts to suck all the gasoline fumes from the gas in the crankcase and dies, has a little backfire out of front carb under light or heavy load
You may have a couple things going on and keep in mind this is only what I would do, not being a "certified mechanic". Likely a partially clogged jet on the front carb or valve out of adjustment, intake side sounds tight... #1 adjust the valves while you have access ruclips.net/video/mZbrjI5hUf4/видео.html #2 Clean or rebuild the carbs #3 Remove mixture screw plugs for fine tuning: early model 650's ruclips.net/video/fRykIaQkuFE/видео.html or late model 650's ruclips.net/video/XEfhgINXKW4/видео.html Before putting the plastic back on, fire it up. There's been more than one time I've had to readjust... You can do this, good luck!
Question the main jet should it have a small pin hole through it. I see that the other little jet do but the big jet in the middle I can’t see anything through . And that’s on both sides. If anyone can answer this that would be great as the 650 I have I have to hold the gas down to stay started
Any carburetor jet must have a clear passage for the fuel to flow through. If it is blocked, need to poke it with tiny wire, spray carburetor cleaner, and then hit it with air compressor.
I have gas going to the over flow nipple on top of carb and a little to the bowl when I blew air in it, it when to the bowls and to that overflow why is the gas going to both???
Look, my 650 bruteforce is leaking gas from somewhere uo there around the carbeaurator and gas is also leaking straight out of the exhaust.... coming out the header pipe too
FYI - I used this video as reference for my 03 Prairie 650 and the layout of the carb, bolts, and steps to remove/install are IDENCIAL. Great video!
Glad it helped and thanks for the comment!

Thank you!! First video that was clear and simple. Hard to find so Thanks again!!
Thanks a ton for this video. It helped me tremendously in removing and cleaning the carbs on my Prairie 650.
Glad to help and happy trails, these are really fun machines with the V-twin setup!

Your videos Rock!! They have helped me out more than once...Thanks! NJ
Glad we could help, thanks for the comment!
The values on top of the carbs. Do both of them suppose to open when giving it gas. I only have one opening up.
I had to split my carbs to replace a fuel linkage, when splitting the spring for throttle between came out. Which side does the spring need to sit on?
Excellent, worked for me.
That is the cleanest brute I have ever seen. Do you ride this thing?
Thanks for the comment... Yes, it was well rode before we got it... A lot of clean up prior to making the video. Happy Thanksgiving
What is the short cable with the little black knobs dangling off the throttle cable side of the carb?
Primer.
im handy but not confident enough to get to the carbs. would seafoam help clean the jet?
me too...
yes seafoam is the bomb!!

What model is this for repair kit. Cvk??
What year is this quad? Im trying to see if i can use this video to work on my 2003 Prairie 650.

I would take look at the valve adjustment and if that doesn't fix the issue... the timing.

Your needle valve may have lost it's seat.
I have the same problem, what was your fix?

@@mikeysky8917 thanks, I just ordered the rebuild kit on Amazon 👍

Was the carburetor clogged or was it the spark plugs. Pease respond asap
Carburetor defiantly needed cleaning.
I'm getting fuel in the crankcase,, think carbs are to blame?
It's possible you have a float stuck open or a bad valve seat. Does it still run and start okay?

Slick, did you clean or install a new carb kit?
Does anybody have a video how to replace the choke return springs on an 02 Prairie 650?
hi mate
there is tow hoses onthe carby towards the front of the quad. can you please tell me what they connect to
Best I remember... those were vents/drains, one of the two had a one way valve on bottom of it.
thanks for your help
Absolutely

Cleaned my carburetor out. But it was the spark plugs for me that was bad
What would it do? Before you changed the plugs

it the hoses that you disconnected at minute 2:00
