I love Greek mythology and have long wanted to do a Medusa piece. I had a couple of days free to play with so decided to squeeze it in and film the process for you lovely people!
In this video I show you how I like to mix a variety of mediums from pencils and paints to Coffee and the effects that you can achieve with a little experimentation. Some things don’t go as planned, other things are pleasant surprises! Hope you enjoy it and possibly learn some techniques that you feel inspired to try yourself.

For me where I grew up in the 70's, it'd be either Vallejo or Frazetta.
Medusa is my absolute favourite person in Greek Mythology, this is absolutely gorgeous! 😍

I've always been curious about how you do those pieces, and finding out that mixing media and experimentation "to the old fashion" are involved, makes me more eager to continue drawing!

The coffee gave this piece a very nice aged look which I think suits the era you picked.

The first time I saw this art piece was on Pinterest and I was beyond amazed that someone could actually be so artistic and could have so much finesse in their hand to make this superb piece that I stared at this drawing for quite a long time admiring the facial details, the snakes with hyperrealistic touch to them whereby each and every scale could be distinguished and separated form the next one, that hand with perfect detail work and so much more that it had overwhelmed me! And today somehow I just stumbled on this video and am overjoyed to see this come together! A truly artistic piece!👏👏👏 I love it! ❤❤❤
