On All I Live For, the entire last 30 seconds of the song is all recorded in 2020. She added the vocals because the rest of the song was incomplete. From “forever, you are...”, the whistle, to “all I live forrr” before the face out
Mariah is a legend. Her career/achievements are unmatchable. She truly inspired a whole generation of singers. From Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Kelly Rowland, Bruno Mars, Pink, Mary J Blige, Brandy, Missy Elliott, Nelly Furtado, Lady Gaga, Kate Perry, Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, Leona Lewis, Sam Smith, Jojo, Jordin Sparks, Justin Bieber and the list goes on. I mean even the Legendary Stevie Wonder. Who said “When people talk about the great influential singers, they talk about Aretha, Whitney and Mariah”. Not to mention having 19 #1 hits on the Billboard hot 100 (Most by any solo artist in history) and being one of the best selling artist of all-time. She is more than just whistle notes. She creates her music. Writes her songs. She has actually Written or co-written most of the songs that has ever appeared on her albums. And is acknowledged by the World Music Awards, as the biggest-selling recording artist of the Millennium (1990-1999). Five-time Grammy Award Winner. She’s just one of the best female vocalist of all time. Could you please react to 10 times Mariah Carey forgot she was human?
She wrote I Pray for a 12 years old child to sing not for The Emancipation of MiMi. This child is transitioned now she is called Lina.

My review originally got blocked because the US Tennis Association claimed a 10s snippet of a Save The Day performance Mariah did for them god, had to remove that part but yeah..
“Out here on my own” is a cover of a song by Irene Cara from the movie Fame. That’s why there was no climax like a normal song because it was a song from a movie from the 80s. She covered it because it resonated with her as a little girl growing up and she sang it at a talent show and won her first trophy

Not all songs need a dramatic climax. If used too much it becomes overdone and cliched. This song is from the film "Fame" and along with the title track was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song way back in 1981, the first time two songs from the same film were nominated in that category.
"Out Here On My Own" and "Can You Hear Me" were in demo form, hence why they may seem unfinished. Also, "Out Here On My Own" is a cover, so it stays somewhat true to the original version.
You guys are cool af, out here on my own is a cover and it’s done exactly like the original she kept it true to it. And lauryn hill is all throughout the background the woaaahhhh part and in the bridge with Mariah singing the la la la part it’s a sample of killing me softly by the fugees ❤️
I pray, it was a song she had written and did the demo for a kid at the time, it was on the Oprah show.
that song you thought needed more "Umphh" won an Oscar for Best Song. It was from the movie 'Fame' (Not the remake) and it got her through hard times so she covered it.

So last comment lol. Idk if y’all know this but “Do you think of me” was the B-Side to the “Dreamlover” single. “Everything Fades Away” was the B-Side to “Hero” in the US. Overseas and in Canada “Everything Fades Away” was a bonus track on the Music Box album

Fun fact in regards to Caution Runway was a track only released in Japan that samples her song “Butterfly” from 1997 I think you guys would LOVE it! I made a lyric video for it on my channel if you guys wanted to check it out!! 😌

Lullaby of Bird land was a cover of Ella Fitzgerald original song released in 1954. Mariah did more of a jazz twist to it adding the scatting into it. It was also live during her “The Elusive Chanteuse Show”

Slipping away I'm still mad that awesomeness of a song was not released as a single. Back then it would of at least been a top 20 hit for sure. That's my favorite Mariah song probably.
3:34 The song for my birth year was “Can you hear me” (1991). That must’ve been for the Emotions album, obviously. Thank goodness I love that track! Lol. Tbh I LOOOVE all the songs on there except for I pray.

“out here on my own” is a remake of Irene Cara’s song from Fame in the 1980s.
“Slipping Away” was the B-Side to “Always Be My Baby”
“Loverboy- Firecracker” was the original version. She didn’t put it out because her bitter (at the time) ex Tommy Mottola (Head of SONY via Columbia records at the time) sabotaged her. So for the Glitter soundtrack album, Mariah was putting out Loverboy and licensed a sample called “firecracker” by the Yellow Magic Orchestra. However Tommy found out and told JLo and her team to also license the sample and put it out quickly. That song was “I’m real” (the original version w/o Ja Rule). So with that knowledge she scrapped it and went for the Cameo version (which is GREAT but a bit all over the place). THIS is why Mariah “doesn’t know” JLo.
Also listen to De Brats verse carefully “Hate on me much as you want to....” went to the Firecracker beat and dissed JLo.

Nothing was missing in out here on my own. Y'all just don't understand the song. The history behind it. The reasons why she sang it. Its first and foremost a cover so she wasn't planning on changing anything. Y'all were expecting extravagance in high notes and riffs here and there. Shows ur not real fans of mariah. U don't expect her to sing astronomically in every song. Y'all need to do better. At searching on her and fact checking ur statements b4 posting. Bet u both don't even know why shes releasing this album or that shes just released a book, her memoir - the meaning of mariah carey. DO BETTER
