And it's really nice too!
Same here; brilliant!
I agree other's use expensive tripods lol this is my current setup now and works for me ;)
you are right!!
Even though other videos say "simple set up"....THEY ARE NOT!!! You have the BEST video and the most simple but sufficient setup I have seen PERIOD!!! WORK SMARTER...NOT HARDER!!! Thank you so much for the insight and I will be purchasing the lazy arm mount!!!!
Greatest artist Who ever lived huh??? 😂
I’ve been looking for an affordable tripod to film overhead shots and this literally solves my problem. Thank you for sharing ☺️
What’s it called the recording arm
@@chloesketches5623 its called a gooseneck phone holder if u still need it lmao 💀
I have been looking on yt for over an hour AND THIS THE MOST SIMPLE SHORT VIDEO ANSWERS MY QUESTION
Just bought the lazy mount off of Amazon after seeing this video! Super excited :D Thanks!
This was short and sweet, thank you for not getting into random details!
i like your set-up! simple, slick and looks easy. you've inspired me to trying filming my painting sessions! thanks for vid
I discovered that my phone had a 1080p 60fps setting for videos and it's 10 times better quality than my camera, which was also too heavy. Finding some sort of phone tripod is a game changer i'm SO happy. I can't wait to film more ! it was one of the main reason why I stoped recording content
I have been trying to figure out the best set up for my videos and this was so helpful. I ordered the benks lazy arm and I'm so excited for it!!
Totally ordering that desk mount stand RIGHT NOW thank you so much!!! Like others have said, genuinely helpful, to the point, and ACTUALLY inexpensive and simple! This is what I was looking for!!!
Thanks for sharing! This video is helpful, and I like that you showed the set up too. I'll put some thought of getting this product.
AH HA! Thank you so much for showing me! Now I can live my dream as a youtube artist!!
I just bought the phone holder through your link. Excited to start using it.

I was searching for this kind of setup for last 1 yr
Thank you for sharing! A friend suggested I start showing how I make my art & your little video was a super helpful start ☺️ still a little hesitant, but one step at a time? 🙈
if i wanted to record my drawing being done on a wall or easel? would this work as well?
I love the pack n' play right next to the studio space! That was my set-up too for several years. :)
I couldn't use the affiliate link since I'm in Germany, but thank you for the lazy mount recommendation. This video was really helpful
Omg thank you for this helpful video ..now I can do RUclips videos
Thanks a lot, I have been looking for an over head smartphone mount that's on a budget for a while now.
Finally... simple set up none of that crazy gadgets that I probably won’t use. I’m fine using my phone and a lazy arm tripod to record my drawings
Oh My God I love this! I'll go find a lazy arm mount like yours! It's simple yet smart!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much!!

that is the best tripod I've ever seen! Just ordered one, thanks so much!
very nice set up, thank you so much, will be applying this to my art desk as well^^
I've been searching for over a year for an easy efficient way to film overhead tutorials. I took the leap and bought an expensive tripod with an extension arm for my DSLR camera. I even built one of the homemade tripods out of plastic tubing from Home Depot. After watching your video, I purchased the Benks iPhone tripod on Amazon. It was only $10.00 and It works great! It easily fits my iPhone 6 Plus even with it inside the Otterbox case. The gooseneck arm is strong and doesn't droop. I was trying to come up with a way to get it a little higher up off the table so I could film more of my desktop, so I attached it to a kitchen countertop space saver stand that I bought a Walmart and now I can use it for close-ups or for recording the whole desktop. (There might be a better way, but that works for me.) The Benks iPhone holder is definitely the easiest, most convenient and least expensive way to go for filming overhead tutorials. Thanks for sharing your process!
I liked it so much that I bought another one that is a little bit longer- the 900 mm version. Thanks for your video!
I just got my lazy arm today! Now to figure out the best way to get good video!!
I must get that Benks Lazy Arm - just what i need, thanks!
Thank you!!!!! What an amazing video! I am thinking of reading books to my homeschool club. I needed an idea in how to do it ! Thank you !
where did you get the bendable mount on the ring light?
Thank you! Adding to my amazon cart now. So helpful!
I've read mixed reviews on this iPhone stand - do you still like it?
Excellent! Thanks for sharing your tips and what you use! I want to start taking videos of my art process and you demystified how to do it simply! Much appreciated! Subscribed and following! :)
Thanks for the info. :} I always see people doing cool instagram demos, I figured it'd be fun to try.
Thanks for the helpful video (and blog post)! I've been filming with a cheap tripod, because I've been under the impression that desktop monopods are really expensive. But the iPhone desk mount you have is really affordable, maybe I can find something similar for my digital camera.
I agree with the other positive comments. Well done -a good setup and well explained. At last! Thank you.
This was super helpful! I really appreciate this! Thanks.
*goes shopping*

Your tripod can hold any type of phone?
Great tips, very useful video! Thank you!
Can it hold a small camera like the canon g7x?

Great video and thanks for sharing! I was wondering about the flexible iPhone mount. Do you know if they offer one of a GoPro camera? Or maybe there's another attachment for a GoPro?
THANKS I NEEDED THIS SO BAD😭
Wow I really wish I had known about that tripod before I got another one, I'll probably get this one if the one I got doesn't work out. Thank you!

Soooo helpful...Thank you!,,,,
how much was that halo light set up? I been wanting to post speed drawing videos but money is hard to come by for me so I've been trying to make and buy cheap alternatives hoping I can recreate the same lighting but everything still comes out dingy or orange looking...
Is the mount good to record myself doing nails?
OMG you are a goddess. Thank you for sharing this!
I bought the ipad one by mistake :( it probably won't fit will it?
Where can I buy the lazy arm in Mexico?
Thank you for posting
How do you edit your video
Hi Jenn, if I'm not in a place where I can afford the diva ring and tripod, do you think that a cell phone ring light would be sufficient? My paintings are 22x30 or a bit smaller. I really want to do process videos without a big investment so I'm thinking I will get the cell phone arm mount.
Hi Thanks for the video. There are so many lazy arms. Is there any brand you would recommend or seller in amazon. Thanks.
Thank you this was really helpful. ^^

My lazy arm doesn’t swivel :,( How did you get it to do that?
I have a same lazy arm for holding my phone, but it isn't stable and I end up with shaky videos recorded from my cellphone
Can you use a camera for this too???
It's a very useful video. Do you have some tip to have the paper really "white" ? It's a question of lightning or video editing ? Thanks
