For those of you that don't have a locking diopter, get it set , and then take your knife and make a small cut where the diopter is set and then you have a reference if it gets turned out of place.
Love my K4 pack and all the info you guys put out. Very well thought out. PLEASE, get into the Bino harness game. I haven’t found an option I like. I feel like you guys could really optimize that piece of gear.
I have a Zeiss Victory Pocket 8x25. I m not a hunter; the longest period I used it a week every day from morning till evening to watch birds. But after a while I sensed that this size is kinda "limited" (looking bit through a tunnel...)- so I m into a bigger bino. But which...? 8x or 10x? 32 or 42 (or 52...)? Zeiss Victory, Zeiss SFL, Swaro NL Pure? I must try to look through them...(can someone hold a bigger/heavier bino longer and better than a small bino (with 10x magnification)??).
100% binos. I use binos 95% of the time when glassing, then switch to spotter to check detail once I find something. Most everyone I know does it this same way.
@@edgarperez6766That’s a budget question. Depends on how much you want to spend. Once you hit the 800-1000 dollar range you pay for the that extra 5-10 percent of clarity and light gathering. You will be able to see everything but the picture won’t quite be as good.
@Daniel_Bradford my buget currently is right around 1000 dollars I've seen many reviews on different spotting scopes but they all have good and bad reviews so I'm kind of stuck on what direction to go.
How did you come to that opinion? Swarovski NL Pure's are widely regarded as the best possible glass you can put your eyes behind so to say something is far superior is a pretty strong statement.
@@ExoMtnGear I had the opportunity to compare them on a hunt. About 350 yards away was a group of 4 horses, one of which was completely black. The background was a dense forest, and in darkness, with the only binocular that could be seen the black horse was with the Zeiss. The difference in lenses was noticeable, to the point of not being able to distinguish an animal at that distance and at dusk and with little contrast. Excuse me, but that already puts the NL Pure out of competition. If that's not enough for you to say that one is better than the other, I don't know what would. But let's move on to technical data: NL 159m@1000m vs HT 136m@1000 (see 20m or so doesn't make a difference for me at that distance). NL 840gm vs HT 750gm (HT almost 100gm less weight). NL Light Transmission 91% vx 95% of the HT. Believe me, the difference can be seen with the naked eye by looking at one and then the other. Do you really still think that the Swarovski NL are better than the Zeiss HT? I can understand that you are a Swarovski fan, but try to get some Zeiss HTs and do the comparison yourself. Tell me later.
I have some HT 10x42s and while they are amazing I don’t think I’d say they are leagues above an NL pure. The pures are truly amazing for FOV and resolution

Try a Leica Noctavid for a change. You will love the the view. Like looking thru a box of jewels some people say.
This was a very informative video. I would strongly encourage people to invest in a tripod, it makes any glass look so much better.

Which 10x32 has the wider FOV than the 10x42. I’m looking for a new compact pair of binos.
I am not aware of any 10x42 that has a wider FOV than its exact same model in a 10x32.

@edgarperez6766 buy once, cry once. Swarovski EL 10x42 are worth every penny if you hunt enough to justify it.
