Sighnaghi

The weather was not kind, so better head to a town. Sighnaghi, although one of Georgia’s smallest towns is a popular tourist destination as it lies in the middle of the wine-growing region. It is located on a steep hill with the Caucasus mountains visible in the distance. We found a spot to park/camp at the edge of town and had a lovely dinner with some home-made wine at Pheasant’s Tears Winery. The next day we walked to the monastery before continuing.
