    Hey Rob, just wanna say your content is a breath of fresh air in a world where so much is anti-science and anti-reason. Your objective analysis outshines everything out there for products like this and it really helped me pick a health tracker. Keep it up!! I'm not even looking to make a purchase anymore I'm just watching these because it's interesting. Would be really cool to see more about what you're finding with your data and how it's informing your decisions. I think you could really help people who aren't quite sure how to use these devices to benefit their lives.

    Great channel, congratulation! Based on your reviews, I bought a Fitbit Inspire 2. Seems accurate on sleep and heart monitor, but it also has many shortcomings. I am also looking into buying a Xiaomi product, but right now can not decide between the Redmi Watch 2 Lite, the Mi Watch and the Xiaomi Redmi Smart Band Pro. I would choose the one that offers the best sleep and heart monitor in this order of importance. (I know any will be lagging behind Fitbit, that is why I bought it first.) Hope you also review the Smart Band Pro and do a comparison between the 3 (or 4, including the Band 6). From your reviews it seems the Mi Band 6 is the least accurate. I wonder which is the most accurate and would buy that.

    I appreciate your focus on the actual function of the device in reality, and not on the features, which everyone can read by themselves anyway.
    How about testing one or two of those cheaper Aliexpress smartwatches? Are these just toys, or do they work a well as the big brands?

    Thanks for also doing reviews on cheaper brands. My budget is sadly limited but my doctor has advised me to at least get good sleep as i have a lot of anxiety as well as health issues. I'm afraid of spending too much as i need to save as much as i can in case i get hospitalized again . The good thing is that so far I'm okay and eating healthy and trying to lower my body fat % as best as i can.

    Hi!
    I recently found your channel, and it's exactly what i was looking for!
    However, i have a question that maybe you or some of your viewers can help me out with.
    So, i live a relatively active lifestyle. I do mountain biking and parkour (strange combination, i know), and my job is somewhat physical too, that involves 20-40km of commuting on bike, plus several hours of walking, stairs up and down, bit of climbing, squatting, etc. Although it's usually only about 2 days per week, but anything you do for 4-8 hours can be tiring.
    And well, as i'm getting older (i'm 29 now), i have to think about managing my time and energy a bit better. It's nice to see that these devices are getting more and more accurate (although still far from perfect), but even if we assume they're accurate: are they actually useful? Can they help to avoid overtraining/underresting? Can i use them to guide me a bit by tracking my all day activities, and maybe know when to rest more, or when can i push a bit harder?
    Although i was racing for about 10 years, i don't use any metrics for mountain biking anymore, just go by feel. I like this freedom, and i don't even plan to follow any kind of training plans, heart rate limits or things like these. Still, it would be nice to know how much rest should i have, when do i get too exhausted.
    Sadly, as i've heard, cycling is not really good for these wrist based heart rate monitors because of the vibrations from the handlebar. And parkour... well, that's really intense and versatile and i'm not even sure i would like to wear a several hundred euros watch while jumping around :D
    What can i do with all these data if i don't have a coach degree? Would it make any sense for me to have a sports watch (a garmin, for example), or they're not "smart" enough for my kind of lifestyle? Would they be able to help me manage my energy/stress a bit better?
    I know it's a lot of questions (and a long text), but if you could give me any tips or guidelines, i would be really thankful!

I already tried the amazfit gts 3 and it was terrible for accuracy it was never close in detecting my actual heartrate. Do you think the redmi is a good choice for me or dou you have some other good and not expensive alternatives for me?

    I bought the Redmi Watch 2 Lite to practice windsurfing. However in training modes "sailing", "kite surf", "paddle board", "car race" and "kayaking" the GPS does not come into operation. The only outdoor sports that GPS works with are hiking, outdoor swimming, outdoor running, outdoor cycling, trekking, and trail running. It would also be better if the watch could display the instantaneous speed for these wind & water sports. It is a valuable information at the moment of training. And a device that has a standalone internal GPS should at least show the geographic coordinates on some screen. It may be useful in an emergency situation, when your windsurf equipment is broken and all you have is a waterproof vhf radio and the watch. When data from Xiaomi wear is transfed to Strava, "outdoor swimming" loses GPS data and is turned into "indoor swimming". A Bug to be fixed. Another outdoor Training modes that is NOT possible to activate GPS are: "water skiing", "water polo", "other watersports", "rowing", "powerboating","rafting", "ice skating", "horse sports", "paragliding", "parkour", "rock climbing" and "ATV". I have posted this feedback in Xiaomi forum, and they expect that the issue will be resolved in upcoming firmware updates. My firmware version is 1.1.98

    • @thomazpfborges
      @thomazpfborges 2 года назад

      Yesterday Xiaomi released a new update firmware for Redmi Watch 2 Lite, but unfortunately the related issues were not fixed. The firmware version was 1.1.98, and now is 1.2.106. I can not figure there is a consumer satisfied with whatever outdoor sport mode that has no GPS activation. I hope hear better news from Xiaomi soon.
