Hi, JoyDivision, happy to find our channel. I recently came upon FOMOF's channel and that got me here. Watching your videos with your insightful commentary is helping me up my game from it's current woeful mediocure. I think my game buddies will be surprised next time we play Scythe.
I think maybe that early trade would've been great. Bolster, upgrade bolster to mech, Trade 1oil 1metal, bolster move to mech. Produce, mech for 1! For the rest of the game. Is this at least a reasonable line?
Because my win condition is speed in this game it is important to never trade unless you absolutely need to as that is essentially an empty turn. If my objectives were not as good and I needed to come up with another star somewhere I think that going your route would be fine.

I love it, you will have to let me know how your next game goes!
Second that.
Woah incredible. Amazing game
Definitely was an exciting one :)
Me: "Wow, Nordic is playing a good game here"
*Sees @FOMOF at end*
Me: "Ah..."
Well that escalated quickly 8:35
Great game. Great commentary.
I'd really like to see you play with Albion.
Them and Nordic are the only factions for which you don't have videos yet.
Nice game, thank you!
Have you ever won a Saxony game with 4 or more combat stars?
For myself when I watch again:
Turn 1: negotiate
Turn 2: produce
Turn 3: move (4 oil encounter)
Turn 4: bolster
Turn 5: produce
Turn 6: bolster
Turn 7: produce
Turn 8: move
(Early game done)
Why didn't you want the 4 metal on the 2nd encounter, it saves you a turn (have to trade or produce) for your 4th mech?
Never mind, the math is almost the same. I see.
Oh and great video of course!

After the encounter that is
