You could let them go another year. They have a long growing season so not sure when you planted them.

Isn't the whole plant edible for most gingers? I often use the greens for teas

This was very informative. I live in Pensacola Florida and my mom's yard is full of shampoo ginger, I knew it was ginger but I didn't know what kind. Thanks for sharing.

Turmeric is a great anti inflammatory BUT, it’s also a blood thinner! People that have to take blood thinners like warfarin need to talk to their doctor before eating turmeric. It can intensify the effect of blood thinners and also people on Plavix need to beware.

You didn’t say when to plant and how. Great video though. I’m in north fl and I want to plant all those gingers but I don’t know how to go about it. Do you have an instructional video on how to do this?

I grew mine from grocery store stock. They don't do very well if you don't have irrigation, though this year was wet enough for them to grow. Make sure to water enough in the spring so they grow again before april.
      The leaves are edible also.
