This how old I am. (Born in 1961). When I first started fishing in the late 1960's with my dad the only plastic baits were rubber worms. They would actually melt thru the plastic in the old Plano tackle boxes.
I was born in 62 I have some pictures of me still in diapers fishing with my grandad. I have that tackle box we used back the with the melted worm marks still in it😂 awesome memories though.
This is way cool John, I love the adventure side of small creeks and what might be around the next corner, and what you might catch next is just as cool !
You are one charming guy. I think most of your charisma comes from the observation that you are yourself, never trying to make an impression on the viewer, but simply a man who loves what he is doing: pursuing fish of any size in waters that almost no one would investigate. Of course having a terrific voice never hurts either. I love participating with you in these adventures.
Easily became one of my favorite fishing videos! This reminds me of my childhood, exploring little creeks and ponds, and having the best time of my life. Thank you, and please post more.God bless.
@@IdiotWithEducation It was so-so. I have committed to trying new bodies of water so it's to be expected. But last night after a thunderstorm I was able to almost complete an MTB slam. I'll have that up sometime this week! P.S. you guys are super wholesome and I hope you catch some amazing fish.
I know why I enjoy these tiny creek videos: I’m able to enter the peace and solitude vicariously through your experience. If I can’t be there myself, you let me capture what I love about creek fishing from the comfort of my living room (without the spiders, snakes, prickers and poison ivy!)
AMEN! Those little creeks can bring a big surprise! When they get up a nice bass can swim up and take residence in a little deep hole! Luv this video!!
You need to add a disclaimer about water shoes. Always wash your shoes and feet after wading in the creeks. The shoes are sold as outdoor/ water hikers (Pearlfeet). I think the Walmart brand are pretty good but go quickly. You can also carry pruning shears to cut the thick growth back so you can enjoy fishing more the next time. Tell your viewers at the beginning & end to smash that thumbs up like button & stay tuned for more .... Always put the intro at the beginning of the little fish bumping the camera. It's so funny & true to life's adventures. .. Good luck fishing! !!!! We love your channel! !!!👍👍👍
Fishing these small creeks is a lot of fun, especially in the heat of summer. I've had a lot of success using trout magnets as well as easy shiners and similar baits.
I watched half of your new video upload from today . And I’m like that’s it that’s it !!! I’m gonna go fish this one creek that is 29 minutes from my home . The water level might be low there too . So light gear will work good for these hot summer days . I will watch more later !
To be able to go out and enjoy fishing knowing that you probably won't get a trophy and lovin it is awesome. Rarely do I watch a whole video with out fast forwarding. Good stuff man.
One thing I like most about your channel is the spots that you see potential in. When I was a kid riding in the back seat I would look out and think "what can I catch in that?" (Not only fish: turtles, snakes, lizards, crawfish, newts) I think I need to get back to that.
Thanks for sharing John that's the kinda creek I stocked my pond from down here in Alabama. The videos you share are so enjoyable. And the word at the end is always the Truth. God bless.
Ok, I had to pause 15 seconds in, just to answer the question, lol. Who would fish creeks like this? Me of course! Really appreciate you sharing the little creeks!
Creek fishing is fun, and it always amazes me the great variety of fish you can catch. I'm definitely going to check out those shoes. Thanks for sharing!
I got you beat as I was born in 1960! LOL! Love these videos as I fished just like this as a kid and I hear you on the worms melting in the tackle box! Actual headed from Co. To lake Guntersville Sunday morning and might try a little creek fishing if I can find the right one! Cant wait as it has been 15 years since I have been fishing and hope to bring an ice chest full back to have some in the freezer!
Rewatching this one. I didn’t notice the first time, but I have (had) the same water shoes. I hope yours did better than mine. They started to come apart the first float/wade trip. Completely on the second. Other than failing they actually did the job and I didn’t have issues with sand buildup or any small pebbles to speak of and obviously water drains out quickly. I am currently using Crosskix foam core shoes and love them.
I love using micro lures. I've been using 1" crappie tubes, wading through rivers and dropping them into overhangs in the tall grass, pulling out 4lb+ large and smallmouth bass for the last few weeks. They're such fun lures to catch generally anything and everything you're looking for in a game fish despite their size! I've been wanting to try the 2" easy shiners for a while though and can't wait to give them a try now after seeing this. the 3.5" Keitech's have been a blast to use all summer
The Magic Wand would be perfect for that creek. It is a 4 1/2 foot glass rod that I have had for at least 30 years, and it would work wonders in tight places like that.
Some nice eater sunfish.. you are always shown the glorious places..another gorgeous spot brother.. that's a good place for a dock demon...you should start taking pictures of the places (creeks and small rivers) you fish and put them on an adventure wall..
gosh o mighty man, if you had walked out there like that in Texas you would be covered up in chiggers. Your legs would have looked like you had the measles in a couple days. Enjoyed the video greatly. It's all about having fun.
Been using those 2inch keitech s for 3or4 yrs, they are excellent for crappie too, they also have a 2inch swing impact bait I think is better than easy shined, awesome vid bro.
I'm leaving Southern Ohio tomorrow headed for Memphis. Then traveling back to Gatlinburg. I've been following you from the beginning and I plan on stopping at a couple creeks just to cast a few times.
When I see some of these areas where you're throwing 4# test and I think all these years I've used 10-12# , I feel like such a whimp😊 Definitely going to lighten up my line. In my defense I do fish places with lots of Lilly pads.
a colleague of me (also fisheries biologist) did a research on 1,2 yds wide creek that was totally overgrown. The depth was from 1ft to 3 ft of fast flowing water and he found trouts up to 20 inches. So: there is much more life out there, than we would expect. "He" did much more as our small brain can think of. ;o) BTW: good to see you have found water shoes for your size!
I've been wearing pretty much the same shoes for several months. I like them but they let in a lot more sand and gravel than other shoes I've worn. The traction is really good though.
This how old I am. (Born in 1961). When I first started fishing in the late 1960's with my dad the only plastic baits were rubber worms. They would actually melt thru the plastic in the old Plano tackle boxes.
@Dane Boro I have lures that are so old they are made out of wood. Rebel's, Jitterbugs etc.....
That anise smell on my fingers!
I was born in 62 I have some pictures of me still in diapers fishing with my grandad. I have that tackle box we used back the with the melted worm marks still in it😂 awesome memories though.
Christopher,
His Hellgrammites come with a warning that they will melt other plastics.
I remember those days. We peeled them off the bottom & made bait with a tiny hook. It worked too !!
I've drove by this place twice a day for 7 years and always wondered if there were fish there. Thank you for answering this for me!
it almost dries up sometimes but seems to always have fish
Where there is water, there are fish. Life comes from water.
Creeky 👍 it's fun using tiny jig lures I've caught some really big fish on small baits. Fish on my friend 🐟🎣

Great video John! Amazing how many fish were in that small creek.

Lots of small ones . But it’s better than nothing !
Have fun

That was some skillful casting on those tight spots. Looks like so much fun, non stop Sunfish action.
When your dad told you to go play on the highway you took him serious! Nice video John.

You're bringing back some good memories of me and my dad going creek fishing for catfishing baits and then catfishing all night for big ole catfish.
I started microfishing a few years ago. it's a blast! It really adds to the fishing opportunities.
I am so jealous of that clear water. My creek is only that clear in the dead of winter.
Ok, I had to pause 15 seconds in, just to answer the question, lol. Who would fish creeks like this? Me of course! Really appreciate you sharing the little creeks!

Great to see you back in a small creek, bro! Those redbreasts were beautiful! Tight lines!
Man I remember when you had 1k now you have grown great job man
thanks
I enjoy these videos because you fish all types of places and it shows you can catch fish almost anywhere and everywhere
First time commenting. I have been watching your videos since the beginning. Awesome small creek video.
Awesome! Thank you!

I love the fact that you get the joy out of ultra light 🤘🏻
Jon, it's like a Sunfish nursery.Little creeks and streams sometimes serve that purpose.
Thank you again for another awesome fishing trip Sir 👍👍✌
🎣
Please continue to be careful & stay safe 👍👍✌
Another great vid John!!! What a great fisherman and an even better person. Would love to fish with you one day.
When I was a kid we used to fish the Creek that passed through the woods next to our subdivision and the only thing we ever caught was Creek Chubs
In small closed in areas like that I would recommend using a Dock Demon spinning outfit.
Just started watching your channel about 2 weeks ago, and I'm HOOKED!! Watch about 6 of your videos a day. Thanks
Welcome to the party. Tell all your friends.
Awesome! Thank you!
My favorite guy back at again wt the most nices video of creek fishing i rather fish creeks then rivers my biggest bass was in salt creek
Love watching you fish these tiny creeks! Thanks

That little creek was loaded with fish....loaded with thorns too i see....beautiful redbreast
Reminds me of fishing for speckled trout here in NC trying to sneak up on fish in little creeks
The Magic Wand would be perfect for that creek. It is a 4 1/2 foot glass rod that I have had for at least 30 years, and it would work wonders in tight places like that.
Awesome video! I loved small creek wading as a kid. Just a lot more gators where I was.
You have a new subscriber
Thanks 👍 at least no gators here
Well done. Truly an adventure
Love Keitech swimbaits, didn't know they came in 2 inches. Good video
Lol, I think John 3:16 could catch fish in rain drops. Great stuff, I love it
That why I like small stream fishing you can catch everything in the stream
Super glue your soft plastics to the lead head. Amazing how much longer they will last.
the water in the deep pool looks badass
I love this type of fishing too. I've caught them out of stream I could easily straddle.
That's awesome
Some nice eater sunfish.. you are always shown the glorious places..another gorgeous spot brother.. that's a good place for a dock demon...you should start taking pictures of the places (creeks and small rivers) you fish and put them on an adventure wall..
i had thought about that but havent done it
Memories. Got me ready to go fishing at the creek
Your non fear of snakes amazes me. Lol you be everywhere.
I love love those water shoes!! Got myself a pair off Amazon $35. Do wear socks with them. Sand gets in and u will get a free foot scrub done.
Enjoyed the video John, you are the cast master!
Looked like the Monster of the Creek Green Sunfish.
I guess I'll try some of the pond by our freeway, based on what I see, likely they will have plenty of these fish in them.
This video is sick should do more like this
gosh o mighty man, if you had walked out there like that in Texas you would be covered up in chiggers. Your legs would have looked like you had the measles in a couple days. Enjoyed the video greatly. It's all about having fun.
Man the snakes must be afraid of you , if I went in there every stick would be a snake.
I love the shoes!!! Fit great!!
If you put some superglue on the end before you slide it up again the head..it won't get pulled off as much.
Been using those 2inch keitech s for 3or4 yrs, they are excellent for crappie too, they also have a 2inch swing impact bait I think is better than easy shined, awesome vid bro.
Thanks for the tip
Keep up the good work bro! We enjoy your content.
Just did me a little fishing when rolling through pigeon forge. 👍
Nice 👍
@@CreekFishingAdventures got me 2 little bass and a sunny. Had 30 minutes i had to sneak away from the family for a "bathroom break"😂.
Great video.. the adventure is the best part of fishing.

The fish are so much prettier in the creeks!!
Gotta love when you can catch a fish every cast.
those things were hungry
Buddy I subscribe to lots of channels and I always look for your videos first
One cast one strike... 😁😁👍👍.! Salam from Indonesia.
I love fishing tiny swimbaits
I use Z Man 3" MinnoZ, and a drop of gel superglue to hold them to the head. Can fish em all day sometimes without having to readjust the bait.
those zman ones are great
i like the slimz also
Hammer time!
I like to use tiny and small baits whenever I go fishing

Dude I've been using those 2" easy shiners too!
man they are small but awesome
@@CreekFishingAdventures they sure are. I've caught just about everything with it.
Plus you have to not slide on the slimy green algae. Nice work missing the tree limbs. Nice creek bass.
it turned out to be cool little trip
Some nice action there.....
I come and stay for the small to medium creek fishing videos...
this spot looks soo cool
you should know by now to carry plenty of snacks and something to drink LOL
