Man. Having an insanely busy at work. Sat down for just a few minutes to eat a sandwich and catch a breath before getting back to work. Popped up RUclips and saw your upload, something about your videos just helps me unwind. Peaceful and pleasant. I think it's the ultralight fishing that I like the most. There is just something about it. Thanks for the video. Have an awesome day!

I love catching a decent size largemouth on the Ultralight gear! I hooked in to a surprise 2lb largemouth in a creek last week, he slammed a red Nikko OCTOPUS!! and charged between my legs and under some brush. Thankfully (like yours) he stopped there and I was able to reach down and pull him out! NICE surprise!!

My thinking has totally changed! As I ride down the road, I look at every little creek and think - how do I get into that creek? I didn't know there were so many opportunities until my eyes were opened. Thank you. Keep up the videos and "walk" down the creek in peace. So be it.

Very good. My brother would always like fishing with an ultra light pole with small test line. He said he would like the way it felt when a fish got hooked. We would mostly fish with salmon eggs and an 8 hook. Really small. Fishin for rainbow trout up the northern fork, truckee river , Nevada.
    Keep up the good work!
    Stay safe!

Good video. I love creek fishing. I've creek fished from New York State to Florida and it's been my favorite style of fishing. Your videos are sort of bittersweet to me as if fished creeks since I was 8 years old, bak in the 1960s. now in my 60s I'm disabled and can no longer 'bushwack' to get to creeks. I also studied aquatic ecology in college, but would up in surveying and engineering and wound up working in public utilities for nearly 30 years.
A couple observations, generally if you see a pipe crossing a creek, the crossings are where there is a stable bottom, in other words, stable rock or in swampy streams, larger sandbanks. These structures tend to be good environments for fish if nothing else than for the amount of food the locations tend to attract.
And if you're running into larger bass, whether largemouth, smallmouth spotted, or one of the more specialized bass species such as the Shoal bass, I've found that lures fished as topwaters will often provoke strikes.
Lastly, even though you did quite well with the choice of lures, I would suggest that you look into Brewers Crappie Sliders and for bass, a standard Slider. Of course a significant benefit is that the lures can and usually are rigged weedless.
    Keep up the great videos.

Like that for me, I do a lot of bass fishing but there's something with grabbing 1 ul rod and exploring banks on foot. Even better when you bring a fly rod as your backup.

That was a species of slider turtle. Had one as a kid from 7 years old until I was about 15. I was at school one day and my mom took it to a pond and released it because his aquarium smelled because I got a little lazy as a teenager and didn’t clean it as much as I should have lol but I’ll remember that turtle forever. The one you found reminded me of that.

😁 Smoke and glitter?! Oh, my. The bass 'round these parts are a bit more posh than that. For a light evening snack or an early morning nosh in the pond, they much prefer 6" sparkly motor oil worms with their twisty tails, weightless, shaken, not jerked! (definitely joking, and yet it does work)

    • @charlesadams1721
      @charlesadams1721 4 года назад

I've fished in South Florida and other than the Keys, I fished canals, some big, some in the neighborhoods. The canals hold almost everything. And there are saltwater canals if you like catching hundreds of small mangrove snappers and 1-10 lb tarpon, which you also find in freshwater. Also in South Florida, you have all sorts of non-native fish - if you've seen fish in aquariums, it probably been released in the waters of South Florida. There are snakeheads, peacock bass, oscars, tilapia, all sorts of cichlids. A tip, most of the non-native i mentioned don't seem to hit plastic worms, they do like spinners/spinnerbaits, crankbaits and topwaters.

Threw it on a big worm hook n tossed him out towards the bass. Seconds later I had it on 6lb line brought him in eventually and he could have been 10 lbs... No smaller than 7.5 for sure. I would love to wade through creeks and fish like this but with the way creeks are around here and with gators in the water, likely to get stuck or bit lol

Hey man, I went up to a creek and a lake about 45 minutes away from my house over the past 2 days, and I caught my first largemouth of the year and a few smallmouths, about the size of the bass at the end of the video, on the 3 inch swimbait and hellgrammites, on my new medium light setup, good video

I was really surprised you caught that many species in the creek. You need some waders. Be careful Tennessee has gators in the creeks. They look like that log you were pulling on. 😆 I'm not kidding. ..

Them combat baits are some fish catchers. I like them small swim baits heck I like the look of them all. I want to get some of them and try them I know my kids and me could catch the heck out of them here in Alabama. I want to say thanks and I appreciate all that you have learn me and just cause it is a small creek it can still hold fish so thanks.
