    Thank you! I’ve had this sewing machine for about 20 years & just got the courage to get back to it. Sometime ago, I gave up because I always go through bobbing issues. Hopefully now I can sew with little interruptions.

    While these instructions seem to work, they are not quite according to manufacturer’s instructions, and they are not utilizing all the cool, user friendly features this machine has to offer:
    1-winding the bobbin can be done without holding the thread, although this technique might be just as easy. Follow the dotted guide lines printed on top of the machine.
    2-Machine is threaded incorrectly for sewing. Follow illustrated instructions on top of machine. The solid guide lines are for threading the machine for sewing. Do not pass thread around the metal button on top-that is for winding/loading the thread onto the bobbin only and will cause tension problems in some sewing situations. Again, look at the solid guide lines on top of the machine.
    3-this machine has a feature that will thread the needle for anyone who has a hard time doing so (to the left of the needle is a device you pull down and it pivots around and snags the thread and pulls it through the eye). This is the trickiest feature because, at least on my machine, the needle has to be in the perfect position both up vertically and horizontally for this feature to work perfectly.
    Hope this helps first time users or people who were having problems.

    The model 2277 Tradition is the one I have and is having problems getting the thread in the needle either using the automatic threader or doing it manually. I made sure that the flat part of the needle is to the rear, but it is difficult to put the needle in, and also threading the needle. I worked last night trying to thread my needle and to get the thread through it after watching the video on doing that for the forth time.

    Thanks! I have the SM024 and the bobbin works the same. I have been having issues with my thread 'munging' up on the underside of my work and thought maybe I was doing something wrong with the bobbin placement. Turns out I was doing it correctly (like you). Time to check my tension, I guess.

    I watched a video that says ,if you want to sew wigs more conveniently ,remove that last white box you used in closing the thread part of the machine,this will help weft to go round the sewing needle easily and give you more space on the machine while sewing.

    I have a question. When you get to the end of a row and you are done sewing I noticed that you cut the thread. How do you secure that thread on the wig and what do you do to restart a new row on the sewing machine... Do you just continue sewing or is there something you need to do with the thread in the sewing machine to continue sewing?

    • @anulin4445
      @anulin4445 6 лет назад +9

      You secure the thread by backstitching. By pressing the reverse button. To start a new row, you don't need to do anything else. Just start sewing.
