- Wildfire was the first Rocky Mountain Coaster built in Europe and it's the world's tallest wood coaster. This ride features a stunning location, 3 inversions, and multiple airtime moments. It also uses Topper Track to provide a smoother ride than traditional wood coasters. All this make it the best wood coaster in Europe!

Hey I live in Sweden and have ridden wildfire a bunch of times and I just wanted to say that if you go in a sunny day it flys through the layout and every element hit
A lot of coasters run better on hot days.
@@CanobieCoaster It dosent need to be a sunny day, late in the afternoon its nuts!
The quetime just makes it that much better!
Last summer when i was there i could ride it 10times in a row in the morning without getting off. The longet que all day was around 5min!
Rode it 20times in total and i think 15 the time before that!
Wildfire is very high on my bucket list. I’ve completed all the US RMCs and I’m on my first Europe trip but I won’t be hitting up Sweden or Poland so untamed will be the only new RMC on this trip. Great review
Thanks! I much prefer Untamed to Wildfire.
3 more days to go for me! Hype
Enjoy!
How was it?
fantastic ride
Sure is.
So excited to ride this in two weeks 😀 (hopefully)
Have fun!
What a great review of this rmc wooden coaster, still haven't ridden any rocky mountain construction coasters yet
Thanks!
I don't care about height as much as I care about drop, but it's got a pretty big drop for a wooden coaster and it's the best RMC topper track coaster which makes in in a league of its own. It's probably one of the top three or four wooden coasters in the world.
I prefer Lightning Rod and Outlaw Run to Wildfire, but this one is still great and has an epic drop.
Would you like to ride this coaster again? What do you think?
Yes, it's amazing.
I still have trouble placing an RMC in the same category as traditional wooden coasters, even if it is technically all wood. Megafobia, Zeus, Wodan, Balder, Troy, Colossos, Cú Chulainn, Grand National, they all seem to be one kind of ride while I always tend to group Wildfire in with Zadra and Untamed. What's Europe's best non-RMC woodie?
Personally i think the prefabs feels just as different from other woodies. They feel more like intamin megas to me
@@VillasByrneRMC toppers and Intamin prefabs aren’t considered “traditional” wooden coasters for a reason.
I’ve heard some people say it’s Tonnerre Deux Zeus, some others say it’s Colossus and some others say Wodan.
I’ve only experienced Tonnerre Deux Zeus in the last two rows and it seems like a front row ride on pov’s, backwards is wild, but second last row it’s really, really bumpy and the airtime felt quite underwhelming there.
Colossus starts out perfectly but has that dreadful pace killing Helix and the giant statue that you travel through is clearly built up from a bunch of containers which I wish they had hidden better.
I’ve currently not experienced Wodan yet but I will in the next few months, hella excited, as my current favorite woodie is Troy.
Having experienced T2Z recently, I think its not that good. It’s waaaaay too bumpy now and gets pretty slow by the end of the layout. I can’t compare to anything tho since its the only woodie I’ve ridden, but i think its not that great.
@@Sauci55on agreed, the pacing after the tunnel ain’t the best and the old parts of the track, including the first drop literally has you bouncing up and down into the restraint. I definitely recommend checking out other woodies as many of them are better.
Have you ever been to parque diversiones or any park in South America? I went today and I liked the park, some great flats and very prettu
I have not been there.
Would you like to ride Wildfire at Kolmården again? What do you think? Do you mind the conditions you took those rain rides? Or in warmer or hotter conditions?
I love that coaster.
I rode it yesterday and it was amazing. The location is stunning and the first few elements are world class. Do you prefer Wildfire or Helix? I prefer Helix.
Helix
I have ridden Zadra in Poland, how does wildfire compare? Definitely a bucket list coaster but I want to set expectations.
Zadra is better (more intense and better pacing).
There are already rumors that they are planning on adding a Funtime drop tower.
Oh no…. I think I know what your talking about…
@@SunshineStateCoasters What?
@@gianfeliciano9816 I’m going to assume that they are getting the “refurbished” Orlando FreeFall.
That would give fantastic views and be a much needed thrill ride to compliment Wildfire.
Imagine if Pairie Daiza zoo built a rollercoaster. 😂 All jokes aside, this looks to be really good. You seem to have quite a different opinion than CS but that's maybe due to the different circumstances?
I believe CS has ridden this on a warmer day and at night. I imagine the ride is better in those 2 conditions.
See this coaster and Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm, while both have shin guards as seen in some photos and videos, try both to ride. So what are the differences between the two in ride experience?
Coast Rider's shin guards dig into your shins and hurt. Wildfire's restraints are more comfortable and the ride is way better.
Are you going to the ace preservation con? :0
Sorry, I am not.
I,d still consider lighting rod first place
I prefer Lightning Rod too.
Aaah is this a re-review or brand new?
New. I previously reviewed Silver Dollar City's Wildfire, but not this one.
This looks amazing. I think rmc is a bit overrated, but being able to marathon this coaster without getting off may change that if I ever get to ride it.
This and ArieForce are two of the easiest RMCs to marathon.
What was the zoning plan thing mean?
Zone with dedicated restriction
They had to get the land approved for use for a roller coaster.
So what would you rate Wildfire at Kolmarden?
See this review.
RMC: Alright, let's have an auction. We have a topper track woodie for sale, give us your best offer!
Kolmården: We'll take it for $11,990,000!
RMC: Perfect, but I've never heard of you before. Who are you?
Kolmården: A Swedish zoo in the middle of nowhere...
I'm just glad the ride exists.
why not ten
Pacing issues.
Wildfire makes me wish Six Flags Great America put a third lap onto Goliath...
I definitely wish Goliath had some more elements.
To me topper track coasters are not wooden coasters. The steel track is so thick and is connected on all but one side. You are essentially riding on steel track it doesn't have any if the characteristics of a wooden coaster. I don't think any wooden coaster with steel supports or reinforced steel track should be allowed to take the record for tallest wood coaster. I have respect for gravity group. Instead of copping out and using more steel they found a way to make the wood stronger and take more abuse by turning it on its side.
The ironic thing is, wooden coaster feels like wooden coaster because they use steel wheel on top of steel strip. Hence it rides pretty bumpy, but ultra low on friction
Topper track use plastic-lining wheel like steel coaster. Hence why it's pretty smooth. But you know what other woodies that also use plastic-lining wheel? El Toro. And it ride very similarly to topper, but nobody cares nowadays
I count them as wood, but I get the argument why some do not.
Why people think RMC coasters are “wooden” is beyond me.
I count them as wood, but I get the argument.
The topper track coaster have 8 layers of wood and one of steel. Just like all modern wood coasters. The only difference is topper tracks have a thicker piece of steel on the top which makes for more intense elements to be possible.
ODD
It's such a weird location for an elite ride.
I honestly don't think these should be counted as wood coasters because they have so much steel on the track that it is like calling machine gun kelly rock when it just will never match the feeling of the true real thing but that is just my opinion and of course rmc is far far better at making coasters than mgk is at making music!
I count it as wood, but it's darn close to steel.
fair enough!@@CanobieCoaster
