    Twisted Timbers is awesome! The best parts of the ride for me are the camelback hills and the sequence after the cutback and before the zero g roll. It has some of my favorite restraints personally because they are minimal yet feel secure.

    Just rode Twisted Timbers for the first time yesterday, and then immediately queued up to do it again.
    Holy Cow! I was blown away. Absolutely an incredible experience. I also rode Twisted Cyclone in GA a few years ago and remember that being an equally mind-blowing experience. Now I know why. I think RMC refits are now my favorite style coaster.
    You're explanation is so thorough, I'm very amazed that you don't have higher likes and viewership. Please keep up the good work!

    The one thing holding this ride back are it’s restraints. I have extremely long legs, so those shin guards are unpleasant to experience. The airtime is unbelievable, but with those lap bars, it’s not as fun as some people say. Pantheon, which is my favorite in Virginia, has a more varied layout and infinitely better restraints.

    • @redwolfcorprevamped8266
      @redwolfcorprevamped8266 2 года назад +1

      Even Pantheon's restraints aren't that accommodating. Twimbers doesn't have that height ceiling, so when it comes to restraints, I think it depends on what you're into.

  • @ralphwaggoner208
    @ralphwaggoner208 2 года назад +2

    I still find it the best in the park, but with the variety of elements on Pantheon, I think that it edges out TT for best in the state.
    The restraints don't bother me, I kind of lean forward into them and raise my knees once the ride gets going, it feels like the only thing holding me at that point are my knees. I also try to get just a little bit of room. Not inches, but as long as it's slightly loose, it's comfortable.

    Rode this for the first time 2 days ago. This and I305 are great top Tier coasters. People who have Kings Dominion as their home park are lucky. The theming for Twisted Timbers was incredible. The tractors and rusted 50's vehicles in the queue. The theming in the Station. I only rode 3 RMCs including Steel Vengeance. Twisted Timbes is definitely my favorite out of the two. Its so fast and there are so many different elements you cant even figure out whats going on until the train stops. Love it! The other RMC i rode was Jersey Devil. So only 2 RMC conversions. The reason I pick this over Steel Vengeance is because Steel Vengeance gets a little repetitive toward the end of the ride. Still a great ride though.

    This is the strongest coaster I have ever experienced, riding it in near 100 degree temps last July. I could understand if someone says it's too much, but I love it. My 2018 rides were very strong, but those 2021 rides were insane! The strength and the lack of lines has made this one of my all-time favorite coasters. My 5 days at this park have all been on Mon-Thu, and Twisted Timbers has never been more than a station wait. I had i305 ahead of it for awhile, but I now prefer TwTim. With those 2 rides, the short lines, and the overall charm & beauty, Kings Dominion is one of my favorite parks of all.
    Compared to other RMCs, my top 4 are all RMCs now, and any of them could be my # 1. I may prefer the overall ride experience on Iron Gwazi to TwTim, but I've also had so many experiences with Iron Rattler that have been the most fun that any human can have at an amusement park. It's a tough call.

    This looks like an unbelievable coaster. Unfortunately, I have never ridden it. However, I have been on Iron Gwazi over 30 times. It is one of the best coasters on the planet, in my humble opinion. My only complaint is I am slightly over 6'2" tall. The trains are a little tight. Had the same issue on steel vengeance. Wish Rmc could provide more comfortable trains like what is on Velocicoaster at IOA in Orlando. Intamin got it right. They are the most safe and free feeling trains I have ever ridden. Those trains are the best in the world hands down.

    I prefer I-305 but I also find this a very enjoyable RMC. The ejector airtime isn't as painful as some more intense rides (looking at you, Steel "Shin Splints" Vengeance) and for something to have this kind of pacing despite the low height is truly remarkable. It's a great ride.

Iron Gwazi is awesome (top 5 for sure), but there's nothing like getting thrown around like a ragdoll like this ride.

    Little nitpick, the 2 speed hills pop you out of your seat and then turn a few degrees with no banking whatsoever; never noticed being pitched forward. Never really noticed the curve in that later hill either though, that starts the thigh survival section for me. Prefer middle rear rows on hot days to reduce pain. Also I'm short but that knee guard can grind.
    TT may not be the best in VA, but definitely does the most with the least ... anywhere?

    Definitely one of the best RMCs. KD could not of choosen something better to do with Hurler. I haven't been to Virginia but this is by far a number 1 or 2 in the state just from the looks and the common sense that it's an RMC. Unlike a lot of RMCs where it has a mix of inversions, airtime, and unique elements, this one has all those but manly focuses on ejector airtime. Iv ridden Storm Chaser and I loved the first camelback and can't imagine what 3 in a row feels like. Definitely a bucket list coaster I need to try and one of the biggest musts for ejector lovers. I wish Carowinds can learn from KD and do something with their Hurler.

    This was my first RMC, and honestly every element except for the two final overbanks shines. When I rode it for the first time last July it was my number one, however, it’s fallen to my number 3, behind iron gwazi (my number 1 by quite a fair margin), and pantheon, which is super close to TT. Honestly, what makes pantheon for me is the swing launch, that hill backwards is amazing. But tt is an almost perfect ride, and the only reason I wouldn’t give it a 10/10 is because I don’t really like the overbanks at the end, they just do nothing for me, and the prelift isn’t that great. Other than that tho, it’s a phenomenal ride, and easily the best at KD (idk why i305 isn’t forceful enough for me)

    The name of Twisted Timbers is okay to me but they should of named it 'Hurlers Revenge'
