    I couldn't see the review for all the graphics and animations... jeez. But the image comparisions were helpful.

    Hello. This review was so well done. Thank you very much, it made me push the buy button as it looks good enough and isn´t as expensive as the pro version. You also got a new subscriber. Cheers!

    Thank you for your review! So many reviewers miss the basics of unboxing and showing what is in the box; more specifically what cables are included. USB-C to USB-A ✅

    Elgato is noticeably much better than the logitech and the macbook pros webcam. Its not just a little difference its huge and better in every way from the colour balance, sharpness, contrast.. just more natural and pleasing. Logitech in particular should be worried...very worried. Thanks for creating such a great video covering the Elgato webcam in detail and in an enjoyable way. I hope to see many more comparison videos in the tech space as they help me to make well informed purchasing decisions.

    Thanks for the detailed review. I've read that the camera hub is quite resource hungry. Do I need to have the camera hub running at all times or is it enough to put in my settings once and then it will automatically retain the settings even when the software is not running?

    • @ThisBrownGeek
      @ThisBrownGeek  Месяц назад +1

      Thank you!!
      Yes you can save the settings directly to the camera and then close Camera Hub entirely, it does not need to be running at all. I discuss this at around the 12:40 point in the video.
      I hope this helps 🖖🏼

    Hello! I recently got this camera, I also got an elgato key light for lighting got good settings on it, but there is constant flickering in the background and even on my shirt.. What can I do to fix this??

    • @Y2Keet
      @Y2Keet 2 месяца назад

      will lighting up my background help? im just using regular led lights to light the rest of my room and it is just flickering so much

    • @ThisBrownGeek
      @ThisBrownGeek  2 месяца назад +1

      @@Y2Keethi, thanks for watching and for the comment. If you look at the menu on the left hand side, at the bottom there is an “anti-flicker” section that allows you to switch from 50hz to 60hz. Try that first. If that doesn’t work, then try adjusting your shutter speed.
      If that doesn’t work, turn all of your lights off; and then turn them on one at a time to see which one is causing the flicker. Then you can decide on whether or not you want to keep that light :)
      Let me know how it goes 🖖🏼

    Nice video! Any idea why I can't change Format in Elgato Camera Hub? It is set to 1080p60 (MJPEG) and its greyed out/no dropdown... I updated firmware after installing the camera.
    EDIT: I THink its because I plugged into a usb2.0 port on my PC, it needs USB3.0 to support uncompressed video! Its working now, but its still greyed out (so YUY2 uncompressed 60fps is my only option). I was hoping to try out 30fps for increased low light performance

      Hi!! Change your shutter speed to 1/30. That’s 30fps :)

    I just bought this camera. My original Facecam is nice and bright and sharp, but this one is all dark and gray. Then when I set it up in Camera Hub, I can get it looking better, but when I bring it into OBS, it looks and again. And it's nowhere near as good as my original Facecam. Could there be something wrong with it?
