Thanks mate, really appreciate it! Generally it’s advised to always take a minimum of 3 pairs of gloves. A pair to climb in, a pair for the cold summit and then a back up. The ones I use are - Mountain Equipment Guide gloves, super warm with their goatskin leather palm - which is durable and gives great grip. Their Drilite outer makes them decently waterproof. The Belay Gloves by a brand called Extremities (Tera Nova) give better dexterity for rope work, but still protect the hands well. Both of these are reasonably priced. Rab gloves are excellent but are getting quite pricey!
Freshly fallen snow from the night before, which hadn’t had chance to thaw and then refreeze into climbable ice. Mid December is considered early in the climbing season for Scotland.
Perhaps a slightly dramatic choice of words 😅. I most likely meant “renowned”. An accessible route for sure, but the winter conditions add to the challenge!
Great upload, Subscribed

Superb footage ! What are the best gloves to keep your hands warm and dry in those conditions. I always struggle with cold hands at those heights 🥶
Thanks mate, really appreciate it!

What's infamous about it? It is an easy scramble in summer conditions. However you need to know where the route is.

Right. Not infamous, but not to be underestimated in winter conditions.
How much was the guide?
