      Hey! I think the best strategy is to go to any TIM cellular shop and get a sim card with internet - it's super cheap! If your device has a double sim, it will work perfectly.
      If not, you can use an old phone, and then use it's 'WIFI hotspot' option to create your own cheap Wi-Fi device!

    Love your video! 🤩I have a question - we initially plan to take the Leonardo Express Train from FCO Airport to our hotel near the Spanish Steps. This means we need to stop at Termini and change to Line A of the Metro from Termini to Spagna, which involves climbing up and down steps with our heavy luggage. Instead, we now intend to use the Uber app to take an Uber from the airport to our hotel near the Spanish Steps. Is it okay to take an Uber ride from the airport to our hotel near the Spanish Steps?

    • @ItalyGuy
      @ItalyGuy  Месяц назад +1

      I think it should be ok. But taxis are very expensive. I would recommend taking the train from the airport to termini, and take a taxi/Uber from the street outside termini to your hotel. This will save you tons of money

    Visiting italy for the first time in a few days. Your video was great and helpfull
    I have two doubts
    1.When you purchase ticket from train line, how should we validate it??.
    2. Can one person take two tickets or separate phone is required to scan at the entrance

    • @ItalyGuy
      @ItalyGuy  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey!!
      1. No, the tickets are for a specific train on a specific time, so you will get a barcode for this train. No need to validate.
      2. Yes, there is an option in the app to add another passenger and get two tickets from the same phone.
      I hope it helped!

  • @Jack-oe3cq

    • @ItalyGuy
      @ItalyGuy  Год назад +1

      once you buy tickets in the app, you activate it and get a barcode. You scan the barcode to enter the station. If a conductor arrives, you simply show him the barcode. So no need to go to the kioks or interact with anyone!

You recommended Itabus and Fixbus app for cheep tickets. I was wondering if in that app we can get tickets for the fast train.? Or they are only busses?
    Because I have watched videos that say that cheep tickets are for trains with no air conditioner. Is it true? We are going in July when is very hot. Do you have any recommendations?
    Thank you!

    • @ItalyGuy
      @ItalyGuy  Год назад +1

      Hey!
      I think for cheap train tickets you should use Trainline.
      Regarding AC - I don't think there's correlation between ticket price and AC. Tickets prices vary mainly according to supply and demand, and the length of the trip.
      I think most trains now have AC, but I'm not sure about it.

      TicketAppy is not available in every region. You will not be able to access the app once you are in Italy or with a VPN because the app stores are regionally specific. If you have the U.S. store then you can only download an access the apps in that store unless you delete the U.S. store and download the Italian store however you would lose everything from the U.S. store. You may be able to go online and set up an account with TicketAppy and purchase tickets through their online store. It may be better to purchase one of the Rome tourist or travel cards/passes. There are several different ones so it is best to check which would work best for you and you can purchase in advance and have one pass for public transport for your entire stay.

      Hey, so if I’m understanding correctly, I can use Ticketappy for the bus as well? And if I were to take the bus where do I activate the ticket?

      @@diana_str You could validate your ticket on the app before getting on the bus

      @@halethu6499 Yes, you could buy anytime, just to validate it n the app right before taking the bus/subway

      @viktoriabalogh113 when you're on the app after you buy your tickets go into the app and activate it then if they check your ticket on the bus you're fine and when using the metro you use the qr code on the app which the machine reads and gate will open

    I bought tickets on TicketAppy. When I purchase tickets and activate them they give me a we code. There is no where to scan the QR code on the buses. As long as it is activated on my phone am I good?

      Yes! If a ticket guy comes on the bus, you show him the code. Otherwise you're fine! :)
