Hi Anastasia! I love watching your videos. During my upcoming visit to Florence Rome and Venice, I would like to purchase scarves for myself as some people told me that you get very nice scarves in Rome. Or Italy 8n general. Can you tell me where can I find them that will not break my budget?
Hi Ms. Fabulous, my husband and I just came back from our European travel. Shout out to you specifically for this Roma Termini vlog…we watched this before we flew to Rome. We took the Leonardo Express train from the airport to Roma Termini where we almost got robbed. The thieves were actually pretending to be assisting people at the ticket booths. There was an older guy who carried a writing pad with a pen who asked me if I needed help at the ticket booth. Then when we started moving towards the train, he followed us. The train was full but he tried to open the doors and at the same time asked my husband to get in. We knew he was up to something and when the second train stopped, a group of young people surrounded us and one of them was about to unzip my husband’s anti-theft sling bag but he pushed her away. Your great tips helped us to remember to be always on the lookout during our travels. Thank you for all you do!
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this. I am truly happy you were able to avoid what could have been a very unfortunate incident. Hope you enjoyed Italy to the fullest! Lots of love from Rome!
Love your channel!! 💌🤟 I just wanted to point out that the Trenitalia app can not be download through the Apple App Store from within Canada. I am heading to Italy in May and hope I can download when I get there. For now I am going direct to their website to book my tickets. When we went there last summer this worked out very well and our train experience was exceptional (even in economy 😉 ). Now when can I expect you to cover food/things to do in Venice??
been to this lovely train station 4 yrs ago and only thing I have to say is OMG.if you have no idea where your going rest assured all signs posted are sure to help.2019 was my 1st trip to Rome as I was visiting Turin 4 days and traveling in between the 4 days lovely station heavily overcrowded do watch your belongings .and always ask the staff for help and never the frequent stand Byersthose are just a few helpful hints
I’ve been there three times to board celebrity Beyond twice and Celebrity Apex. I rode the train to civitavecchia and then paid 6-euro for the shuttle to the ship. I’m going there again to board the new Sun Princess then I’ll take the train from civitavecchia to Genova Principe. Thanks!
Anastasia, it was so lovely to meet you in front of Roma Termini the day you were filming this!! What an amazing coincidence! It was like meeting an old friend. I love your energy! Keep on making these awesome videos😊
I was actually at the station around the time you filmed 😊. Anyway, to me Roma Termini is very easy to get around once you get the hang of it, and the officials are super helpful as well if you can speak some Italian. But the 26-28 platforms to Civitavecchia are a really long walk so if you are going to catch a cruise ship with luggage and all better give yourself at least 10 minutes
I wish we had this info before our trip in April. It was chaos for us from the "helpers" at the machines to trying to figure out which track to go to. We barely got to the airport on time!
Oh no! That is one of the main reasons I made this video because so many people had similar experiences to yours at the Termini station. Hope, the rest of your trip was much more pleasant :)
My wife and I will be in Rome in October, we have been there before, we are staying at the EXE grand palace on viva national. We would love to meet you Fabulous! We will buy the first suppli, or whatever you want. Stay Fabulous!
Excelente information. It is very helpful. Also, you are so kind with your comments (ex. Luggage Deposit). Thank you for not destroying anyone with words. To hear your prudence made me very glad. Have a great day and a joyful trip.
Roma Termini was a big stressor on my trip at the end of May. I didn't know much Italian and there was barely anyone to help in official uniforms. I was so blessed to have an Italian friend teach me how to read the timetables.
Thank you. This is very informative. We are going to Italy in Sept. We got euros but not change. How much change are the restrooms? We are also thinking of storing our bags for a couple of hours and exploring Rome a little. Any suggestions on a close site to see and maybe a good gelato place?
Whilst the station is small, it did cause us headaches lol. It was hard to find where the Leonardo express platforms were!! We asked at the info booth and the rude attendant barked "i don't know anything about airport trains" and refused to help us! So just plan ahead! This video is a good way to prepare for things like that 😊
Small? Rome Termini Station is the second biggest station in Europe. The station has 32 tracks and every day there are 850 trains and 480,000 passengers for a total of about 175 million travelers per year.
Thank you so much for all your helpful tips and information. I will be in Rome the end of August (I know hot weather but after my 3 days in Rome heading to Tuscany). I was most interested in the train info and the safe areas. I will be staying in a hotel 2 streets away the Barberini Hotel, looks like a nice area.
Again thank you so much for this video. After your excellent metro video this one was just as educational & answered all my questions. My upcoming trip to Rome in August has just been made much more easier thanks to you😀👍
We just finished joining a cruise from Rome ( Civitavecchia) in August 2023. Do not buy the 6 Euro bus ticket to the port bus, there is no bus take you to the gate and there is no one you can ask questions. We stood in the hot sun for 2 hours and no bus. The white bus comes every 40 minutes and only go the Norwegian and MSC ships. Most people have to walk the 0.8 miles with luggage to the gate or share a high price taxi for the 10 minute ride to the gate. At the gate, you have to wait another 45 minutes to board a bus to your ship. What a mess.
Usually I’m not big into doing tours on cruise ships but Rome is one I definitely recommend finding some sort of tour from the ship (either with the liner or independent) even it’s just more an port to city transfer because getting into town and getting see the sites is a mess when on a time crunch. If you can go with a smaller (minibus size) or even private tour & one then that allowed free time, it’s ideal. Smaller tours means you’ve have a higher chance of not having Virgin travellers who don’t know how to behave & hold everyone up, smaller tours tend to attracted experienced travellers. Another tip is choose a cruise that starts or ends in Rome and do your own two or three nights there before you take off / return from the cruise
We're going on the same cruise I think end of July 2024, did the white bus cost anything? Do you know how much the taxi is from the train Station to the cruise port in Civitavecchia
I’m catching the leornado train from the Rome airport. Then I’m going from the termini to Amantea. Can you please do a video on how to get to the leonardo train? Thank you.
Well what coins do i need for the toilet? Can i get the weekly travelcard from the machines? Isn't the station full of really expensive shops? Isn't there anywhere nearby to get cheaper food or relieve myself?
We will be arriving at Roma Termini from Venice in October and plan on getting a taxi to our hotel , would it be better to use an app like Freenow or ITTaxi to get a taxi or just wait in the line ? Thank you 😊
Unfortunately, you won't be able to get a cab through the app to pick you up from the Termini station because they have a taxi stand. The app works only for places where there is no taxi stands. If the line is going to be too long (which I am sure it will be in October), I recommend walking a little further to Piazza della Repubblica and taking a cab from there😉
The Trenitalia app is not avaiable in my country so I can't download it. But I have downloaded the Omio app. Will that work? I also have the Italo app. Also with how much anticipation would you recommend to buy tickets in between cities? Thank you!
I’m a little confused about “platform being announced last minute”. Don’t you risk missing the train then, depending on where you are? Thank you! I’ll be specifically going to Civitavecchia to board a cruise ship in April. Will that train usually use one platform consistently?
Hi Anastasia, I would like to visit Italy next year and would really love to use some of your tips. I did subscribe to your channel i also have many questions. Hope to talk to you soon. 🙏
Hi! Absolutely - you can find tons of information on my channel. And if you'd like to book a call with me to answer your specific questions, here is a link: fabulousvita.com/product/trip-consultation/
we will travel to Rome in september and we will arrive at termini later(possibly around 21,30-22,00. Judging by what you said its kinda sketchy area so best would be just to take cab i assume? are they always available infront of terminal?
@@StayFabulousTL thank you very much:) we will stay in rome just for bit over two days so ill try to get most of it yet enjoy ourselves and chill as much as possible. ANyway Slava Ukraina;)
Traveling from Zurich to Rome what mode of transportation would you recommend? Plane vs train specifically October 10 2023 after 1pm . If train could you give me the link website to make reservations I’d appreciate your input 😊
thanks for the amazing video, if I get my tickets online to travel from Termini to Venice I don't need to validate them right? Since I have my seats selected. Also is there a way to know like the "common" line for Venice just to make sure we will be there and not get the surprice that is far away when appears on the screens?
Hello, my name is Wendy I'm very interested in your traveling agent. I have four people that would love to go dearly. This is our first time I've been watching a lot of your videos and you're pretty amazing person.
Wendy, thank you for your kind words! Would you please send me an email to info@fabulousvita.com with more details and I'll get back to you right way. Thank you!
I actually have an airport question I hope that you can answer for me! Have you ever used the Fast Track service at FCO? I visited the official website but am unclear as to what line it expedites and if it is for departures and/or arrivals. I am arriving in Rome in late September and hoping to streamline my airport time! Thank you, Rosanne
I Hope you got it sorted, as I assume you meant sept 2023. In case any one stumbled across this with the same issue, I am looking into this to my self and as Rome is busy I’d recommend it. Very rarely if ever does fast track inc arrivals, that’s usually marketed as passport / immigration fast track and it’s only at some airports sold separately (or as a sept add on) . Hope that helps

Thank you for this video. Bringing the family to Italy in September and this has been really helpful.

Is there a validation process for tickets purchased on the Trenitalia app?

Useful video. You mentioned in the video to obtain a bus ticket from atac, where is that situated at Roma Termini please?
What are the authentic sites for booking tickets for the Rome attractions.
I have links to some of the most popular sights in Rome in the description down below. You can safely book through them.
Again thank you so much for this video. After your excellent metro video this one was just as educational & answered all my questions. My upcoming trip to Rome in August has just been made much more easier thanks to you😀👍

Usually, you have enough time to catch your train. But yes, it does not get announced far in advance, so you need to monitor the screen.

what line stops at Roma Trastevere ? I found tickets on Train Italia but i just dont see the trastevere stop on the A or B lines ? TIA
Trastevere unfortunately does not have a metro line.
Are there Bancomats’ in the terminal for arriving tourists to get cash? If so, where are they?
I would not get cash at the airports or train stations. Only bank ATMs in the city.
how to book tickets for public transport online?
