I love the way she loves her own work. So often people are self-critical but it’s very refreshing to hear someone talk about something she did and say she loved it and thought it was great.
Omg I love Jany! You just know she’s such a colourful character and so passionate about her work. Great episode guys, so interesting, informative and fun to watch. Thanks for introducing us to Jany!
Thank you so much Oliver for the shout out and did you know fact! I stand by that it's a very good fact and that James is bitter over team drum! You're both still the best though, thanks for making my whole year when we're only still in January 🥰🥰
thank you so much for mentioning me james, it’s annabelle haha. it was a pleasure meeting you, it still feels like a dream! your podcasts do make my week i definitely wasn’t lying, i love you both so much and once again THANK YOU !!!!!
I absolutely loved Jany! She's such a good spirit person that you can see her aura from miles away. I loved the curiosities about the twins costumes and the interactions on set, especially the puberty affairs comment 👀. Amazing guest for a amazing podcast, as always! 🤍
Guys, that was an amazing episode! Jany is so wonderful and it was such a treat to get an insight into the process of creating your costumes. Also everything she said about the Potter movies resonated with me. I was 20 when the first film came out and even though i've seen them all, I didn't really get into the story until only 6 years ago. What changed in the meantime is that I got to discover the british culture and traditions and architecture ang got a better feel of what is 'normal' in the everyday life of british people. As a french person, when I visit the UK everything looks unusual to me because its not the normality I grew up with, and this makes it so magical to me. Something clicked then when I visited the Leavesden studios 6 years ago, out of curiosity, and seeing the sets and the props and costumes. I began to understand that everything created in the wizarding world was like those pairs of Hogwarts uniform trousers Jany described, originating from a sort of classicism -in the British culture- but made fancy, or like the Quidditch uniforms, something that the kids knew given a little magical touch. I was thus fascinated (and still am to this day) by how thin the line is between the 'normal' world and 'not normal' magical world from a british point of view. 'Your world was next door' as Jany said it so brilliantly. That's what truly drew me into the Potter world and I love getting to know more of these insights. So a big thank you to you three for this delightful moment!
Jany is amazing and a thrill to listen to! So true about the uniform and felt the film come to life more after she changed it. one of my old school teachers told us he could never tell us apart when it was a free dress day, but on a regular day he could as he could pick up on all the subtle differences in how we wore our uniform.
Omg I love her!!!! I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. Love HP behind the scenes stuff. I must admit I only click on the the videos related to HP as I never know who the other guests are anyway. But I really respect you guys. Keep up the good work. This was the only thing that made me smile today, so as the saying goes “ you can’t change the whole wold, but you can change the world for 1 person “
I really enjoyed listening to podcast with Jany. She's such an amazing and nice person! My favorite work of her was Hermione's dress robe for the Yule Ball. I love it!
i loved this podcast sm omg jany is truly the sweetest and she radiates such positive energy! i loved how she complemented james and oliver at the end cuz they really do deserve all those praises haha ❤️❤️
I just love this episode, i will listen again definitely. I have such a passion for costume design and she is just amazing, very wise and funny, im sure she’s a witch herself 😊 Well done guys, thank you!
Oliver I have the pleasure of owning your screen used Quidditch Robe from POA and gotta say its so well made and just such a cool costume! hope you guys are doing well.
Your podcasts are great. Jany was so animated you can tell she loves her job . I was so excited I knew why they put the buttons on the sleeve I call them fun fact.
One day I'll be able to understand English fluently, and I'll review each episode😂. I like to even just see you and how involved you are in all of this😍. I really enjoy every minute❤. All these stories, facts, guests and everything in this show. It's all so wonderful!💥 Your smiles and what you keep doing warm our hearts so much☺Thank you guys😊💙💙
Hola! Dos cosas hermosas que pasaron gracias al reencuentro fueron que ahora mi hija de 5 años ama Harry Potter y que yo encontré normal not normal. Gracias!😘😘
24:03 ah, green tea. Tea is my favorite drink, especially thai tea, milk tea, and milk matcha (Japanese milk green tea). I also like black tea. Eh, I like green tea too, ehe... 😄
Not a twin thing but my name is spelt Fay and not normally spelt faye. Even though my contract at work is Fay etc at times on rota it’s spelt wrong and even my name badge at time was spelt wrong it’s so annoying
It's so weird to me that people just lump you together. You are both vastly different people. You may be twins, but you guys are like day and night, and it's just unfathomable to me how people see you as sort of one person.
Well said! It's sad to see people being so ignorant and rude towards twins! Idk what's so hard to realise they're just two separate person like any two individuals and not some unified entity joined by hips!
There's nothing wrong with one room, but sharing a twin sized bed is painful, cuz you'll be sleeping on the edge of the bed. Well mine did and they were very grumpy😥🤣
i really like this episode of normal not normal and i am rewatching it on 2023😭🫶🏼 thank you for doing such a very fun and ((actually)) insightful podcast like this. really answers my curiosity about costume in hp (nerding some fashion stuff in films as well)
this podcast actually has more insight into potter films, than the hbo movie
Costume Designers are such an important Part of Films and get way too little respect for the immense creativity they put into their work!
Jany speaking for all of us when she said "you look beautiful" 🥰💖
I only just caught James replying "and so do you", how adorable is that 💗
I love how passionate Jany is about costumes and how much she appreciates the twins and their handsomeness 💖
She is brilliant!! “Creating your own world is more important than being accepted by ‘the world’…” Love those words…
I love the way she loves her own work. So often people are self-critical but it’s very refreshing to hear someone talk about something she did and say she loved it and thought it was great.
May I just say, thank you Jany for putting Tom Felton in a suit for the last 3 movies
That and his Yule Ball look(sadly wasn't featured as it should've been in the movie) were bloody brilliant!! She did a great job with those for sure😍
Omg I love Jany! You just know she’s such a colourful character and so passionate about her work. Great episode guys, so interesting, informative and fun to watch. Thanks for introducing us to Jany!

Just one hotel room because you're twins? wtf??!! 😤
There's nothing wrong with one room, but sharing a twin sized bed is painful, cuz you'll be sleeping on the edge of the bed. Well mine did and they were very grumpy😥🤣
He's not Fred, I am! Honestly, woman. You call yourself our mother 🙄
