Good management is key. The staff are some of the lowest paid workers in retail (I know because I’m one of them), so a store manager that treats their employees like people and not just ‘whatever’ is important. Job satisfaction is important when trying to retain good workers.
I can attest to that statement on wages. I worked at DT for one day, because they didn't tell me the wage before that. I'm like ..... I won't work for so little money. Kudos to the employees who work at the stores.
My husband and I drove to another state on our anniversary so I could shop some Dollar Trees....5 to be exact. LOL. Now THAT is ❤️.!! Love your videos!
Appreciate you sharing this info, Kathryn! When I was in Dollar Tree earlier this week, I joined a line of 11 already waiting customers at the lone cashier counter, and behind me the line continued to grow apace. The cashier announced over the PA that she appreciated our patience, that she was alone on the floor and that the manager was in the back conducting interviews. The poor thing was frazzled so I told her she was doing great and thanked her for not just throwing up her hands and running screaming out of the store. I can't guarantee that she didn't do precisely that later in the day, tho!😲
The fact that she announced that she was the only one and thanked customers for their patience means she has good customer service skills. She also let others know there was an open position. A cashier that doesn't look up or say anything is more frustrating since you don't know if they saw the line of people and if they care about the line at all. She sounds like a really good person.
You always make me cry at the end of your videos when you say "My sweet friend, if nobody has told you today, you are enough." Often times I don't feel like I'm enough, and on those days I pull up your videos and watch them again which ALWAYS makes me feel SO much better! Yes I agree. When we were little children my dad would give us two pounds each ,two dollars equivalent when we shopped, we would go crazy and the stuff you could buy ... WOW ! The kids today have no idea of that feeling..

I live in Central California and I have 3 DT’s that I shop at frequently. The DT that is closest to my home is really the best!! The staff is so great! Friendly, helpful, and hard- working. Shout out to Mary who tries to keep the store organized and clean! ❤️ my DT’s!!!
Lol, we literally went to a Dollar Tree on vacation last week. 😂 I wanted to grab some cheap yarn to teach the kids how to crochet during a down time; there was a Dollar Tree right next to a JoAnn's!

Thanks for the info about the larger stores and how to spot them on the DT website. You are not kidding about some stores looking like a bomb site after the blast. I try to give them grace because I know staffing can be tight but sometimes it is just a hot mess.. The first dollar store I ever found was called Dollar Bill's. My very favorite was a store called Dollar King. They had terrific items for $1.00.
Some shoppers are so disrespectful. They make such a mess just looking for things. I always think it must be so difficult to work in a place where you can never catch up or keep it neat. I often tell employees that I’m sorry people are disrespectful and that I appreciate them. You never know when one kind work can make a bit of a difference. I really enjoy Dollar Tree and channels like yours help me look for things I would probably miss. Thank you.

I have a small DT near me that is very clean and a great staff. It is also adding new sections. The next one in a larger town is very dirty and not very organized. I guess sometimes size doesn't matter. I have ordered and it was ship to store, no shipping fee. Great info as usual. TFS 💯👍👏🥰
FYI, I just started a new job and there is a Dollar Tree a few blocks away, it was one of the nicest and most well stocked stores I have ever seen, and as I was chatting with the cashier, she told me that they are in the process of making it a Dollar Plus store! Yay!
I have a local Family Dollar and check for items there, too. Sometimes they'll have some of the items with different packaging for only $1. They also have some of the + items for the same prices as the + section at DollarTree.

One of my favorite Dollar Trees I go to was the biggest one listed in San Antonio. I always make sure to compliment the workers and tell them how nice their store is because I know how hard they work to make the store look so clean & organized.
I went to the dollar tree in Burlington, NC while we were on vacation there from Oregon. They have a sign out front that says it's one of the biggest ones in the world. My family thought it was hilarious that I demanded we go there lol

Just because it's a dollar tree plus doesn't mean it's a bigger store, in fact I found that in my area that the opposite is true. To make room for the 3-5$ aisle, the craft section and beauty section is significantly smaller.

I did a big order of plastic storage bins and other stuff and had it delivered to my house. The box looked beat to hell, but everything inside was in perfect shape! I would definitely do it again
I've ordered in bulk sits to store three times and it only got to the correct store once on the first try. It's super frustrating but I've learned plan ahead or suffer the consequences lol. Thank you for these great videos!!

I've gone to Dollar Tree while on vacation. Especially when I'm going to the beach. Stopping in get some more stuff for the beach. Just I found a larger Dollar Tree the other day and it was fully stocked. Yay!!! And I remember the $1.00 store. Had one in a mall I lived by. Used to check it out from time to time.

Be very careful in Dollar Tree. I bought a wreath, the label was facing back, I just saw upc. I thought it was $1.25 and I got home to cut off tag, found out I paid FIVE DOLLARS!!! They need to change the store name. 😡

We've been living in our RV (between house sale and house purchase) in Folkston, GA for the last 4 months. We are about 30 mins in any direction from any major stores, except grocery. Luckily there is a Dollar Tree about a mile down the road! For the last 20 yrs, I have shopped at Dollar Trees up and down the east coast during vacations from MI to FL, and at my local stores for everyday stuff. This Dollar Tree in Folkston (manager Connie and her super nice staff) is ALWAYS neat, clean, and WELL STOCKED!! I actually gasped out loud at the amount of storage containers they had on the shelves the other day! LOL!! I have never seen SO MANY in any store!! We are moving away next week, and I'm hoping my new Dollar Tree is half as nice!

You are right! I once told the staff at the Dollar Tree in Galveston on Stewart that it was the best one I had ever been in! It was well stocked and the shelves were neat! I stop in every time I am there.
This makes so much sense. A lot of the RUclipsrs I watch that always have amazing hauls live in these places. I went to Atlanta by myself for my birthday just to go dollar tree shopping and I found so much stuff!!!! I'm definitely going to make that a yearly tradition.

Super adorable geography lesson. I have ONLY mail ordered pickup in store and it has always arrived. Full Cases of shelf stable milk and almond milk-I let them pay the shipping entirely. They are lenient on your pickup schedule. I think I came 10 days after they received it and all was well. But always check LESS THAN CASE opportunities-they offer them regularly. THANKS Kathryn!

My DT is in a area that is the largest senior community on West coast. My store is always picked over. We just moved and now I’m near a community that is multi million dollar homes and that DT is always stocked and has the best stuff!

Just because it's a dollar tree plus doesn't mean it's a bigger store, in fact I found that in my area that the opposite is true. To make room for the 3-5$ aisle, the craft section and beauty section is significantly smaller.

I did a big order of plastic storage bins and other stuff and had it delivered to my house. The box looked beat to hell, but everything inside was in perfect shape! I would definitely do it again

I've gone to Dollar Tree while on vacation. Especially when I'm going to the beach. Stopping in get some more stuff for the beach. Just I found a larger Dollar Tree the other day and it was fully stocked. Yay!!!
And I remember the $1.00 store. Had one in a mall I lived by. Used to check it out from time to time.

Be very careful in Dollar Tree. I bought a wreath, the label was facing back, I just saw upc. I thought it was $1.25 and I got home to cut off tag, found out I paid FIVE DOLLARS!!! They need to change the store name. 😡
They have Dollar Tree Plus section now- items from $3 to $5 in stores. She mentions that in this video. At 1:35 and 5:26

We've been living in our RV (between house sale and house purchase) in Folkston, GA for the last 4 months. We are about 30 mins in any direction from any major stores, except grocery. Luckily there is a Dollar Tree about a mile down the road! For the last 20 yrs, I have shopped at Dollar Trees up and down the east coast during vacations from MI to FL, and at my local stores for everyday stuff. This Dollar Tree in Folkston (manager Connie and her super nice staff) is ALWAYS neat, clean, and WELL STOCKED!! I actually gasped out loud at the amount of storage containers they had on the shelves the other day! LOL!! I have never seen SO MANY in any store!! We are moving away next week, and I'm hoping my new Dollar Tree is half as nice!
We just got back from our vacation and stopped at Dollar Tree in every state we went thru. It was nice to see the difference from state to state.

You are right! I once told the staff at the Dollar Tree in Galveston on Stewart that it was the best one I had ever been in! It was well stocked and the shelves were neat! I stop in every time I am there.
This makes so much sense. A lot of the RUclipsrs I watch that always have amazing hauls live in these places. I went to Atlanta by myself for my birthday just to go dollar tree shopping and I found so much stuff!!!! I'm definitely going to make that a yearly tradition.

Super adorable geography lesson. I have ONLY mail ordered pickup in store and it has always arrived. Full Cases of shelf stable milk and almond milk-I let them pay the shipping entirely. They are lenient on your pickup schedule. I think I came 10 days after they received it and all was well. But always check LESS THAN CASE opportunities-they offer them regularly. THANKS Kathryn!

I am originally from San Antonio Texas & did go into a dollar to pick up supplies for my 4th of July birthday & yes they had more stuff than my GA store. I just saw that one of the biggest stores is 2 miles from where I used to live in San Antonio. Cool info thanks so much ❤️

My DT is in a area that is the largest senior community on West coast. My store is always picked over. We just moved and now I’m near a community that is multi million dollar homes and that DT is always stocked and has the best stuff!

I live in one of the top states that you mentioned, near a distribution center and almost all of the stores near me are always picked over or don't have the products in your videos. I do keep in touch with the managers but most places are understaffed.

Glad a big DT is in the home base of the company and right down the road from HQ. We even had a “marketplace” store in Chesapeake several years ago too. It was similar to Aldi/Lidl
