I was a Manager at HomeGoods for years and when my employees or customers broke something, I was always more concerned with their safety or injuries instead of the merchandise. It is so important to let kids no that we all have accidents sometimes and to give grace. Thanks for sharing.
I know EXACTLY how it feels like to break something in the store!!.. It was @ one of our Thrift Stores... I felt Horrible!!.. I offered to pay for it... but the lady there was so sweet and just took care of it... She made Me feel a lil better... We should ALL have more...Grace .. Mercy and Forgiveness... ✌️❤️😎🙏💖
@ToniM10:store employees sometimes accidentally break stuff themselves espeically if glass falls down off of a shelf. The store employee most likely just knows accidents do happen so there’s no need to be mad about it since glass is easily breakable.

Here’s a fun tip because I use it all the time with my DIY’s….I saw you cutting the skewer with scissors…DT carries dog nail clippers, the part that clips is round shape and totally perfect for cutting skewers and small wood dowels…they are perfectly sharp and work great! It was so fun watching Owen shop with you! 😊
Thanks for the dog clipper idea to cut the dowels! Can be used for so much more, I'm sure! 😊

I am so happy I read comments at least the first 5 to 7. I use thin dowels and skewers a lot in projects and my miter saw is backed away and a Kershaw industrial scissor is packed also. I am so happy to know they carry dog clippers. Thank you for posting this comment.
That claw-like center of the scissors work perfectly to open a bottle. You align the teeth with the bottom of the cap…where the secured band is…and TWIST!
This is also helpful in opening the tough bottle lids!

I finally used the marble print sticky paper for under the sink! Girl you don't even want to know what it looked like under my kitchen sink prior! It really did make it look cleaner!

Way to go Owen...I purchased everything shown just about a month ago when I moved into my new place...Our Dollar Tree here in Nashville doesn't go past a 1.25 and are putting a great deal of products down to a dollar again...many of our Dollar Tree stores has been shutting down due to shortages of employees and managers...

Something I've noticed while bargain shopping is a lot of Wal-Mart floral picks and fake flowers are higher quality than DT and sometimes as little as 97 cents. They even go on clearance between seasons.
The strainers are helpful during the Autumn if you collect seeds from your garden! A few shakes over paper towels and the seeds can be saved without the stems or leaves!
Always a joy watching your videos, but adding Owen in them just made it so much sweeter. Hes so cute. Include him more! Love you Kathryn!

I've got 2 of the coffee mugs and can use them for iced tea, too. Owen is a really good helper. Reminds me of when our grandson was small and willing to help grandma. We're a ways from a DT so when we get to go, I stock up and your video's really help me decide what I'll buy. Thank you, and You ARE Enough.
Those sponge holders are perfect for your bath soap! It allows the water drip off so the soap doesn't get gooey soft,😛😛!! The suction cup is strong enough to hold even the large size bars! JimG

I found a product at DT Brillo basic dish spray and it's wonderful! Only problem is after I figured out how great it is, I've been back twice and they're out or not stocked yet. It's way better than Dawn power wash! I hope they get it back soon.

The sterelite crates also work great to organize a chest freezer! Everything was getting lost until I got them and it was a GameChanger.
Thank you for making my day! I love going to Dollar Tree and usually I sometimes DIY or get Halloween decorations for my room. I recommend the pumpkin candy machines! They are awesome but you need small candy for it.

I got my baby girls wall decals from dollar tree. They are butterflies and so beautiful, lots of pretty colors and they look great with her light pink walls , she’s almost two and they still look great
A cashier at Dollar Tree told me today that some items are going up to $1.50 while a few are going back to $1.00.
That is indeed true! I’m looking forward to the price drop on some faves
The $1.50 will still be cheaper then most stores.
And some items are the same price at Walmart and thicker plastic. Still not bad at all! 👍
Nothing is going back down to a dollar, but everything is going up in price.
In Ontario it's been 1.50 for some time now but recently things have been upped to 1.75 and 2$. While that would be justified if there were new items or better quality pieces but nope just the the ordinary regular items that have been there for ages 😅😔

I bought the reusable grocery bags to wash baby socks so they don't get eaten by my washer lol. They seem a lot sturdier than the mesh bags in the laundry section and there are more of them.

I used to work in a day care and we would use those types of bags to sanize/wash small toys like lego in the diswasher!

I have a pair of the old black scissors. They don't cut as well anymore but I keep them for opening smaller lids(such as soda bottles). I can't live without them. Owen you're 1 handsome dude! And such a big helper!!!💞🙏🏼💞
Sharpen with aluminum foil...just cut the foil several times.
Today is the first time I got a chance to watch this week's video. Normally I'm waiting for it and watch as soon as it's posted, but it has been a really, really busy week. Anyway ~ Owen is such a cutie! What a fun shopping buddy! Gonna be honest ~ it's kind of frustrating to see how well stocked your DTs are. Ours are always picked over and look like a tornado went through the store!
Forget pet hair - I need one of those rubber broom things (8:30) for MY hair. It gets in everything, and I have to trim the carpet beater on my vacuum cleaner fairly frequently, or else the strands get tangled and jam it up. Taking a pass through a room with the rubber broom before vacuuming might make it so I don't have to do that (or at least, not as often).

Rubber Brooms are AWESOME... we had this in the hair salon when I worked as a stylist. They actually get ALL the hair... a reg. Broom was so ineffective sweeping hair especially if wet. Rubber Broom was QUICK & EASY.

Yes, I've broken drinking glasses off the shelves at Dollar Tree. I turned around and my purse hit the glasses. 😬😬😬 But, the employees were cool about it. I tried to pay for it and they told me not to worry about it. 😊

You can also use dish soap, and baking soda really cleans things well. And you can on those wind washing brushes you can put have vinegar and half dish soap really cleans the bathroom nicely.

I’m happy to say that my local DT is now a DT plus! 🙌🏻 I was living in Kingwood, TX and they have had DT+ for awhile. Just moved back to the Northeast and a couple weeks ago they changed to DT+.

I wanted to share a tip...when cutting a wood dowel try using dog nail clipper s. The idea was shared on a diy I watched from another channel but I don't remember who ot was .
