this looks like it will solve a lot of the problems with the way the tech tree is designed when it comes to vehicles, i'm super happy that i no longer need to worry if the vehicle that i want to main is "meta" enough to be selected on the first path through the tech tree. however i feel like a similar adjustment needs to be made to infantry weapons. i feel like both factions should start out with "prototype" level weapons of every major type (pistol, rifle, SMG, Shotgun, HMG) and research should just improve the stats of the weapons as well as opening up research of more advanced weapon types (carbines, Storm Rifles, LMGs). this would help the boring "sticks and stones" feel of the first couple days of infantry gameplay each war without eliminating the importance of researching infantry tech or ruining the unique feel of the factions.
I might wanna start playing again and just be a train engineer. I love how Foxhole as it's developed has developed more and more roles. There are whole gameplay loops of other games in this game. Even just under logistics branch of the game there are whole games. Anyone who like playing truck driving simulators can play this and instead of finishing some quest checklist, your successfully and timely deliveries have actual meaning because they contribute to an overall goal. looking at the power lines I get just a little afraid that they may consider connecting the hexes via telegraph poles too and if cut communication across hexes would be hindered in some way. But then again, it would be too easy to circumvent that with third-party-programs (such as discord) which makes it thankfully alot more unlikely.
they kept going with the French army vibe with that super heavy Warden tank. its based on the "Char C2" and it was really, *really* freaking big, go check the archive pictures: its pretty much the size of a locomotive. As you said it they did a really good job making these. It was designed right after WW1 ( developpement began in the end of 1916), only 8 of them were made and they just saw combat for a very short period of time and were mostly used for propaganda and morale boosting of troops. As soon as the french army got defeated in the battle for france, all of them were sabotaged to avoid having them captured. only one survived due to a faulty sabotage and has been taken by the germans troops, then by the red army at the end of WW2. Sadly none of them remains to this day. Man i would have loved to see a real one.. pictures never manage to get you to grasp the sheer size of machines like this one.
My main concern with all this new content is server lag. They already lag sometimes with what the game has now. Unless theres some major server side optimizations that they didn't mention, I feel like this is going to be an issue.
Honestly with the amount of content they are putting out right now. I would not care if they spent the next year just optimizing and adding nothing new.
You know I've always been on the fence about getting foxhole. I always thought about playing Logi but the tedium of driving lorries everywhere just didn't seem right to me. Driving Trains however, now that is my jam. Time to channel my transport fever 2 and train simulator skills into optimising the railway network and moving freight and passenger flows with relish.
Oh boy I hope they will redo the interface to a more user-friendly one (or new-player-friendly with more visual effects, simple icons and arrows for more-less casual players) so that I could finally convince my friends to play. Right now it only gets more and more complicated.
We are going to need a fucking Adeptus Mechanicus to get all the logistics running. I already see the 1st war of 1.0 being fought with fists only because all the logi-chad-men are going to spend all their time on trying to build the choo-choo trains

Also, get your bandanas and cowboy hats ready boys we're robbing a train!
I can already see so many teamkills with those flamethrowers
looking at the power lines I get just a little afraid that they may consider connecting the hexes via telegraph poles too and if cut communication across hexes would be hindered in some way. But then again, it would be too easy to circumvent that with third-party-programs (such as discord) which makes it thankfully alot more unlikely.
I'm all for that. Because it opens up the chances for saboteurs, which is something I love.
Cut communication through radio backpacks like for nuke launching would be nice
Ok Im definitely pleasantly surprised and might come back for this after all as the logi main.
Holy crap so stoked about this!!!!
they kept going with the French army vibe with that super heavy Warden tank. its based on the "Char C2" and it was really, *really* freaking big, go check the archive pictures: its pretty much the size of a locomotive.
TRAINS?!?!?!
TRAINS!!
You'll need to solve the logi lemming platoon somehow lol
TRAINS!!!!!!
That dude who built port Tabasco after spending 400+ in factorio is doing a little dance
I stopped playing for a year or so now and I'm glad to see logi stuff getting improved... Might hop back on foxhole this update
0:19 KV-2 years early
My mind is blown by the industrial additions
I loved doing Logi in War 83. Now I can BUILD my own logistical hub? Good looooord. I'm moist.
Considering that we have incendiary weapons now i wonder if we are gonna get a new uniform that makes you immune to fire
The implications of custom factory designs are massive. Partisans are gonna have field day doing recon operations.
I can already see a horde of flamethrowers attacking someones frontline base instead of using mammons
I can see partisans and sabatoeurs being even more essential now, because if they can disrupt these facilities and power lines then it will be big.
MoiDawg in the Inferno Trailer did you see the Warden Battle Tank with flame thrower instead of machine gun?!
iv been waiting for this video.
Oh boy I hope they will redo the interface to a more user-friendly one (or new-player-friendly with more visual effects, simple icons and arrows for more-less casual players) so that I could finally convince my friends to play. Right now it only gets more and more complicated.
He, he, he, fire good. Everything must burn!
4:40 omg water is a feature in real life? man i did not know that i wish i knew that before
We are going to need a fucking Adeptus Mechanicus to get all the logistics running.
I already see the 1st war of 1.0 being fought with fists only because all the logi-chad-men are going to spend all their time on trying to build the choo-choo trains
It's gonna be glorious
@@zergling6802 and once they are done everyones gonna have a gun in their hand maxed the fuck out in stats and engineering :)
Hmm, you mentioned a foreman, sounds like a good idea for an actual uniform, just like officer one. Perhaps also a specialized contraction worker uniform too
So these facilities are basically logo hubs? So logi doesn't have to always go so far to make and get supplies? The trains are real cool it would be kind of cool just to play as a train conductor for a war lol
trains will actually make me come back to this game. will spud have a facility/train division?
We've expanded our logi to have facilities and transportation (ie light and heavy rail). Jump in if you want to join!
You know what, I was avoiding Foxhole before now, but now I just want to play train simulator logi :D
This game just keeps on giving.
Imagine a new port Tabasco with trains and with the player made facilities
So, you just need some conveyor belts and aerial drones, and you get a Factorio.
i have a suggestion. add a sing but instead of text a discustion. and cards for the shiping containers so players can know where the player who created it wanted it to go :)
The General is going to cause chaos on the rails again! This time in Foxhole
