I test drove a 570-S, we only made it 2-blocks and the car had warning lights, salesman said to bring it back and get another, WOW the 570-S was incredibly FAST!!!! I absolutely loved the way the car drove handled, but no way iam i going to deal with annoying car issues. So I will continue to be a Porsche Owner-GT3RS is absolutely phenomenal!! Not as fast as a 570-S, but I have had 0 issues in the past 7-years!!!
Had a 570 spider for two trouble-free years and loved the car. Traded for a 720 spider and feel the same about it. I've had some issues, including a broken windshield, but the car is so good that I can overlook them. You'll find some electrical anomalies like a window not closing or key not found, but they clear themselves. The plastic V module (oil filter housing) is prone to failure, too. BTW, it's imperative to keep the car plugged in to the lithium changer when not driven. It is sensitive to low voltage. Look at the bright side things could always be worse...you could have to drive a Porsche and see yourself constantly.
I think reliability was last on their checklist for manufacturing 😂 To be fair, McLaren may be the least reliable exotic brand, but they are the closest to the racecar experience you can get before getting into a real track cars.
Lp560-4 Gallardo owner here. Thought about your car as price was generally the same. Love my Lambo reliability, car is solid one year in. It’s a great car. I couldn’t deal with the non sense you are dealing with after a month
Can you add the prices you paid to get these items fixed? What did parts cost? What was the cost for a shop to do it or show how you did the job yourself.
I see this is 1 year old now. Do you still have the car. Has it been mechanically reliable. I want one of these and I can deal with some of the issues you mention. This for feedback. Do you still recommend the 570?
those whom forget history are bound to live it again, this brand brought back the trabant quality standards back from german democratioc republic (inside berlin walls).
All in all, your complaints are not so rare, it is a typical appearance in (not only) McLarens but also in other handicraft cars where sometimes cheap aftermarket parts are installed when the original designed parts are not available. See for example Bagatti where you will find Volkswagen or Audi parts installed.

doesn't make sense..'you could have to drive a porsche and see yourself constantly', what does this mean.?

my 04 Gallardo has been rock solid for the last 6 years it has a bad rep though, but I love your 570s, its stunning.

the glass is thin and if you have had a very small chip in the corner they can go! door hinges are common
The glass is thin only on 600LT
Did McLaren cover any of your issues under the extended warranty? (Assuming you have one on it)

How are you getting on with the car now?
Your key fob does not have the emergency key inside to manually open the door from outside.
