- Tom Warrior's "Triumph of Death" performs the well-known Celtic Frost song, "Visions of Mortality" Live at the Maryland Deathfest, May 29, 2022, Edison Lot, Baltimore, MD. The song was originally written with Martin E. Ain in the last days of Hellhammer and recorded for the first time on the first Celtic Frost album, "Morbid Tales".

I remember this from the 80s. Bought the record. One of the best metal records of that decade, and there were some really good ones.
As intense as Tom et al's performance is, gotta give props to the Security guys - paying attention, helping out and being good-humoured and smiling. Great work, boys!
I was there, it was awesome, i just got back from Monterrey mexico where they played all old Celtic frost. They sounded phenomenal even faster! Cant wait to see them at mdf next year!

The fact that Hellhammer are so good yet for me nowhere as good as Celtic Frost and Triptykon is testament to how quality a song writer Warrior is.
Never knew his was a HellHammer song. I only ever identified it as a Celtic Frost song.

Thank you very much! This is filmed with a SONY a7s-III using the SONY G master 100-400mm lens. I used a very undersized monopod because it was what I could get into the show. I'll go for a stronger, more stable camera support in 2023. \m/\m/

Interstingly, Vanja Slajh (bass) and V. Santura (guitar) both happened to be standing next to me in the Edison Lot watching this set. Both of them play in Tom Warrior's other band, Triptykon, who played the night before on the same stage. Their bandmate, Hannes Grossmann, is playing drums for TOD at this show because the full-time drummer for TOD, Tim Wey, couldn't get his travel visa squared away in time for the show.
If there is a link between Black Sabbath and Motorhead it is called TOM GABRIEL WARRIOR.

I remember when Tom was embarrassed by hellhammer almost as bad as cold lake! He was just working way ahead of the pack with HH. Cold lake is probably not going to get a Renaissance rediscovery but who knows? I really realty like vanity nemesis so there ya go
