He should’ve won rookie of the year just off the amount of uncalled holding penalties he should’ve had some were so blatantly bad he was probably the most held player in the league and that’s not even exaggerating
carter crashed out the last few weeks of the season and even though he showed a lot of upside early on he wasn't even one of our best defensive players on one of the bottom 5 defenses in the league. his highlight tape is 10 mins long, lowlight tape (if anyone had the balls to make one) would be 1hr+. will anderson was the 3rd or 4th defensive player on a team that overshot their expectations by a mile and he was consistent. opposing offensive adjustments and preparation for him didn't slow him down like it did carter.

@@butchtommasino I mean what do you expect when every qb gets the ball out mad fast because your secondary can't hold up, then lets talk about the dc and skill position coaches they were all terrible why do you think they were all fired I can't blame most of the players when they were never in a position to succeed
@@butchtommasinoCarter was our best dlinemen no doubt. And the qbs got the ball out fast because our secondary and middle linebackers were awful.
His bread and butter will work everytime because he understands leveraged and the physics in football. Until they learn how to counter it.
Kinda scary to see so much potential in year 1.. he emphasized he worked a lot on his conditioning this week offseason so I expect him to take a leap to a great rookie season
Thanks for all the great breakdowns! I'm such a huge Jalen Carter fan, I remember when he was talked about as a top 3 pick, two years before he declared. I was absolutely ecstatic when my Eagles got him, he is and has been a generational talent

Like you said though, 12/100 DTs are legit pass rushers and he had so many winning reps even in that stretch of losses that its ridiculous to say he had a bad rookie year. Or to say it was anything short of awesome is blashphemous.
Dude was in the backfield on 50% of plays. As a rookie.

No, his teammate was drunk driving himself in his own car, lost control and crashed. Carter was in another car and they were racing each other
