Awesome video! Lessons I definitely had to learn starting out. It's not about copying someone else's settings, it's about understanding the thought process and why they reached those settings. Just because these settings work perfectly on this artist's vocals doesn't mean they will work on another.
You leave a lot more warmth than i would, but the principle is still the same. And i find myself using a couple of channel strips combinations ( AMEK+ Neve or Neve+API) to do almost all of my EQ and compression... I still rock with what you did here tho. Really solid stuff 👌🏿

Are these vocals recorded totally dry or is there any preamp color, compression and or eq that ur committing going into protools?
