I hope you do an update on the Precision Colors solution to OEM on the Canon P1000. I see that it is a bit complicated, detailed.... much more than probably most artists, photographers would want to invest the time. Understandable... In your videos, I know you are working with the solution, and also working hard to describe, detail the steps, pitfalls, how to correct a mistake... all that.... Excellent. And I know it took you hours of experimentation to come up with a condensed video of 20 minutes or so... That's at least 4-5 repetitions of each step, not taking, results recording, refining, condensing, all....... so, a 10 minute, 20-minute video is not even an actual rendition of your actual work to make something intelligible and intelligent for anyone out here. I do thank you for your work, your commitment, your continuing excellence, and mostly, for your love of the subject matter "How to take an image from a camera to a paper or canvas and have everlasting admiration for the work of art" on the part of the beholder!

I let the ink dry out in my Epson work Force WF-3640. I did a deep cleaning of the head including dismantling the head itself and reassembling. After performing the print head cleaning function on the printer I am not getting much of a pattern from the print head nozzle check. I intended to install refillable cartridges if the printer is functioning, as now I can't tell. Can I get your thoughts on this matter?
Totally off subject but can I get recommendations for photo storage boxes? 13 x 19 and smaller.
I have an unused 502 CMYK ink kit mis-ordered for my Expression HD XP-15000. Cannot return ink. Is the 502 Ecotank ink compatible with T-312 HD XP-15000 ink in refillable carts?

In the UK we can buy after market epson cartridges BUT we can not refill them because of the chips. thats for my printer at least XP 2100
You do a really nice job presenting really complex matters. I have been printing professionally for 11-12 years, self-taught (as most of us wound up becoming), and, there are still multiple matters to uncover, from adjusting self-made ICC if have a new graphics card, monitor, new strata; new ink supplies incorporated to existing, adapting to a new printer-something not just a 1-for-1 replacement, but wholly new model with a new ink set, etc. Epson has put itself behind an 8-ball, given Europe allows for non-OEM ink, but the US does not. I like Epson printers, have used them for nearly 20 years. But, the constraint imposed to use just Epson, Epson sanctioned ink & chips defeats the whole creative aspect.......... since, only creatives will fork out the money for the equipment, and well established, conventional shops that by volume can afford the silicon, since the quality inks are already in channel. Competition does win, in the end, while corralling and limits just loses... Hopefully Precision Colors & others will come up with greatly simplified process. Fortunately, for now, Canon appears to have the position: Nah! Let's expand our market position. Hold price, allow material/supplies competition; defeat the competitor with actual quality. Seems to me a better long term success strategy than the blitz, based on a narrow assessment of technological superiority. Canon 1000 obviously competes, hard, with Epson, since Epson has had 3 printer iterations in the time since the Canon 1000 came out, with virtually little changes.... Stability is hard to beat, especially when you are a specialty shop. Thanks immensely for your many videos, the details you slog thru....one good thing about video is you can always pause, then come back later.... You know this, understand it, its in your presentations.... You are a good guy, Jose.......... thanks
Hello, Sorry that I am asking a Canon question on this video, but your refill
eset Canon cartridge video had comments turned off for some reason!
So I just ordered a refill kit for my Canon MG5721printer (which uses PGI270 and CLI271 cartridges). I did not get (or know) that I needed a reset device for these and so I am wondering what I need to do (or buy) to get this to work. The kit did not come with any instructions!
Any help would be much appreciated!!
You'll have to buy a chip resetter. Look on ebay. You insert the cart into the resetter and you will get a Red blink and then a solid red light.

Turns out they were already reset as the lights went solid when I inserted them, and they show as full in the menu.
Now I have an issue with printing as barely any ink is coming out. I have rerun print nozzle cleaning and deep cleaning several times but almost no ink is coming out.
I am going to let it sit for a day or so to see if that helps as these are brand new cartridges and they may need to settle.

I'm going nuts my r3000 won't recognize the yellow after refilled and primed it what could be the problem.
Did the Yellow chip actually reach empty before you reset it??? Refilling alone does not reset the chip. And always keep those carts above 50% unless you love reprimming every single time. The chip might say empty but you may have physically ran out of ink long before that. Now you'll have deadly AIR in you ink lines. That is a nightmare I don't think you want to deal with. I know I don't.

It's my fault. I didn’t know that the update for the firmware was going to restrict me from using my remanufactured cartridge ink.
I just bought it for the price because it was supposed to be so-called compatible with my printer. Thank you.
You have not given me ANY information as to what printer brand and model. There are dozens. Besides EPSONS OEM can not be refilled and only some CANON carts can. But chips need to be reset so.....
I do apologize for that. My printer is an Epson WF-Pro 4833. I can't reset anything
That's why I got an Ecotank and escaped from the cartridge madness.
The ET8550 seems to be the best for photo printing and just about everything else including using 100% pigment as well as Sublimation inks.
WP-4535DWF big issue.... After update firmware no more refill reading..... HELP ;-)
Sorry but refilling and updating firmwares is never recommended!

Did you delete the Facebook group, or was I for some reason blocked from it? It no longer shows as even existing for me… I hadn't posted in a little while because printing has been going extremely well for me but had been a bit infrequent. I have a Pro-1000. Did you perhaps remove inactive users or something? I never posted spam or anything against the rules… I used to comment a lot to give people advice but hadn't in awhile.
I do not remove people unless they break the rules. Send in a new request.
