Hi Jane, I'm so pleased that you're enjoying my videos. I used mod podge in this video, but since then I have found something far superior. Polyvine varnish, which you can get in matte or glossy. You can use it exactly how you would use mod podge. You just get a much better result. I'm going to leave you a link for a video where I used the Polyvine, as well as a link on where to purchase it, if you find that you'd like to give it a try. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Hi Cindy, thanks for watching and taking the time to send me a message 💖😊
So I tried your method and you are right, works beautifully! I printed three graphics on my ink jet printer. Two of them ran, one worse than the other. I made sure I let the graphic dry well and still the paint ran. One came out beautifully, and I love it. So from now on, this is the method I’ll be using.
Hello my dear friend! Wow, you tried this on an inkjet printed image. I usually use this method for napkins, rice paper and scrapbook papers. I'm seriously impressed. I've never used it on printed images, too worried about the ink running 😱 Honestly this method is truly a game changer, isn't it? Paper responds so well to the water and it just makes it so much easier to work with. Did you spray your printed image with a matte sealer? That should take care of the ink running. I spray any images that I print for decoupage, because the Mod Podge will make the ink run as well. But, now that I think about it, I have some water decal paper that I print my logo on for all my Etsy products. After I print them I spray with some matte sealer and let them dry for a couple of hours. Then I submerge the logos in water for a few minutes before applying, and the ink doesn't run at all. I'm going to have to try this! I'm so happy your project turned out great! Have you tried it with a napkin yet?
@@masoncreationsetc Im not sure if I used a finish first but will make sure I do it next time. I have used napkins but this graphic from the Graphic Fairy was hard to resist. It matched my Bayberry paint so well. No ink ran here, but the other two did run, one I saved, one I had to throw away. Images were all printed on tissue paper. I use a “paint on” matte varnish from Waverly normally. I’ll email the finished product. It’s so much more rewarding when you do it the proper way. I’ll send some other things I’m working on too.
I just saw your email and pictures. They are all beautiful. I like the green cutting board the best. Love, love, love the picture and the green edging. Try the spray on matte sealer before decoupaging. That should stop the ink from running. I've never tried it on tissue paper though, just copy paper. You may want to do a test sample before doing it on your project. Let me know how it works on the tissue paper.

Hi Cathy, Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Yes I was wondering where you got your silicone mat. You said in one of your videos to be sure to get a good one and am interested in where to get a good one. Thank you and I love your videos. 🥰
Hi Carolyn, I'm thrilled that you're watching and enjoying my videos. The small silicone mat that I used in the Polyvine video, I purchased a long time ago at Hobby Lobby. It's a pretty good one, and is approximately 1mm in thickness. You can order some from Amazon, but just make sure the thickness is approximately 1mm to make sure you're getting a quality mat. I tried one from the dollar store, it was about as thin as a piece of paper and it didn't work. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Hello. I tried this and wellllllllll I had to remove the piece. It looked terrible. I WILL TRY AGAIN. BUT WHAT DO YOU DO IF THERE are LOTS OF COLORS in the background? Really white was the least color. Do I pick the best one? There were purples at the bottom and yellow at the top!I painted my piece cream. I got all of my stuff from your link. And the pieces are gorgeous. STILL looking forward to getting this down! Thanks!
Hi Kel, I'm so sorry you're having trouble. I'm going to leave you a link below for another video that may suit what you want to do a little better. It's specifically designed for decoupaging on dark surfaces. That way you can pick whatever color in the background that you like. I'm going to leave you my email address below as well. If you need any help, don't be shy, send me an email. If you'd like, send me some pictures of the napkin you're using and it would be a little easier to make recommendations. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
