That's so sweet of you to say! I'm glad you like my crafts. Thanks for watching and taking the time to send me messages on all the ones you're watching 😊💖
You always elevate any craft to the highest level of beauty!! Never has a clam shell looked so elegant as yours. My personal favs are the shoes and the flowers. You don’t leave any stone unturned, always adding a new technique to set your crafts apart from all others. I’ve never thought of reversing the napkin, applying it BEFORE the glue! Do you think it elevates tearing this way? Knowing what products to use is soooo helpful as well. I’m always amazed at the different techniques you use and layering of colors, never one dimensional. Eautiful work as always. BTW, 1000 in a week is pretty good!!
Good morning my friend! I really like the shoes too. I thought that napkin was just adorable. Putting the napkin down dry and then brushing the adhesive on top reduces tearing and eliminates a lot of wrinkles. You're still going to get a few because you're putting a flat napkin in a curved shell, but it reduces wrinkles significantly. Also using Polyvine really reduces wrinkles as well. I really believe the other popular product out there actually causes wrinkles. I'm so happy that you enjoy all the different techniques I use to do some fun things. I'm always experimenting with products to see what happens if I do this or that 😆 Yes 1000 in a week is pretty exciting, isn't it? Thanks for always being here and sending me wonderful messages 🥰🤗😍
Finally! A different way to decoupage napkins! My napkins have always ripped as I put the "popular product" on the shell first, and then brushed it with a little more. You always make your art projects fun! Thank you!
Hi Diana! I'm happy you enjoyed this video and feel that my videos are fun! Yes, the "popular product" doesn't work well at all. I really think it causes wrinkles and tearing. Polyvine actually reduces wrinkles and I've never had a napkin tear using it. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
OMGosh I love them all!!!! I just messaged my sister that this is something she and I can do for a sisters night. We are both crafters and this looks like so much fun!!!
Hi Brenda, I think it's so cool that you and your sister get together and craft. These are fun to make. Another shell video will be releasing Sunday morning. Instead of napkins, I used rice paper. Make sure you check it out. I think you'll enjoy it. Thanks again for watching and sending me messages 😊💖
Hi Karen Ann! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! It is pretty hard to pick one, isn't it. I love them all too! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Hi Nancy! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! It is easy, you can do it! If you ever have any questions, let me know. Sunday a new shell video is being released, but this one is rice paper instead of napkins. You may find that a little easier. Rice paper is very easy to work with. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Oh my, I love all of them!!! But I will be making the shoe 👠first for myself and my 2 daughters. After looking at all the different napkins, this would be a great ideal for birthday & Christmas gifts. Thank you for sharing your gift. You are amazing. ❤
Hi Cynthia, the shoe is my favorite one too. I actually made that one for my sister. She's a fashionista, so I'm sure she's going to love it. They really are great birthday and Christmas gifts, aren't they? I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks again for watching and sending me a message 😊💖

I am watching from Santorini 🇬🇷Greece! I just started decoupaging and I’m hooked. It’s honestly my favorite new hobby. I love how you incorporated the multi colored flakes and glitter for the back and resin for 3D embellishments. What a lovely idea. It sure elevates them. I usually use Modpodge but it does get tacky sometimes when it rubs against another shell when the weather is humid so I’ll try switching to wood varnish and see how it works. This was so enjoyable to watch and very inspiring. I’m mind blown by some of the stuff you came up with making them all look extra pretty. ❤
Hi there! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! I just love making things look extra pretty. My friend calls me the goddess of ornate lol... I used to be a fan of Mod Podge, but once I started using the Polyvine I was amazed at the difference. I don't use Mod Podge for anything anymore. I hate that it's so thick and gooey. But it's glue. Polyvine is a varnish so it's thin and not sticky at all. Dries crystal clear and won't yellow over time. Can you tell I'm a fan? lol... I'll leave you a safe link so you can try it. You'll love it! Beautiful! I want to try this on the shells I just brought home from Florida. I see you didn’t use the technique to keep the wrinkles out, does it not work on shells?
Hi Liz! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! I think you mean the water method. No, it won't work on something that is curved. It works best on a flat surface. But I did it using a dry method where you don't put the adhesive down first. That actually eliminates most of the wrinkles. You'll still get a few because of the concave curve of the shell. Have you ever done the shells without that first layer of the multisurface and if so, did you have a problem with cracking? I have a gallery by me who would like to start selling them and now I am nervous that I didn’t use that. Thanks for any advice.
Hi there! Anytime I'm going to work on a surface that's shiny, I always use the multi surface lacquer first. In the past I've had paint chip and peel on glass bottles, ceramic tiles etc. I just automatically use it on shiny surfaces. I've always used it on my shells, so I don't exactly know what will happen if you don't. But the ones I use, do have a shiny surface. Thanks for always watching and sending me messages 😊💖
Good morning Juliere! Thank you so much, It's always great to see you in my messages. Thanks for always watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Does the wood varnish have strong smell? I recently tried Mod Podge spray sealer and it’s too fumey to be used indoors. Also, what type of bristles do you use/recommend? I have low cost brushes and it’s a challenge to paint without leaving brush lines in the paint.
Hi there, No the Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish doesn't have any smell at all. Polyvine actually makes a brush specifically for their varnishes. It helps eliminate brush strokes. I'll leave you a link below. I apologize for all the questions as I’m a newbie. I got my order today and followed your video as I did my shells. After the heavy duty, 3 of my blue and white napkins bled. 😭. Any tips? Thanks much.
Hi there, You definitely don't need to apologize for asking me questions. I'm always here for you. I have a couple of questions though. Where did you get the napkins? Some of the dollar store napkins are known to bleed. Also what did you use for decoupage glue? Did you use the heavy duty wood varnish or mod podge?
@@masoncreationsetc Thanks for replying. Mostly Ninny’s napkins and Etsy. They are nice quality napkins, not dollar store or cheap. Yes, I used the wood varnish. I’m thinking maybe I could spray with rustoleum 2x matte first like I do when I paint on them. It was only the blue ones, which I loved. 😞
Wow, I'm so sorry that happened. I hate when a project goes wrong. I've never had a napkin do that. Doesn't it figure that it was your favorite one though? That would be my luck too. Podrías decirme que productos usas, ya que yo he intentado hacer esta manualidad con cola para decopage, pero no consigo que la zona curva de la vieira no se me arruge. Algún consejo? Gracias
Hi Maria, I'll leave the list below. It's also in the video description box. If you're having trouble, you may want to try rice paper. It's super with rice paper. I did a shell like that, I'll leave you a link for that video below as well. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Hi, my name is Maya and I’m from Ljubljana - Slovenia👋🥰
Hi Maya, Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
@@masoncreationsetc I so appreciate your reply. I went ahead and ordered it. 😊
You're very welcome. 😊
I’m in Australia there so beautiful
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

I love watching you
I do have a few questions
The lady bug napkin I don’t see on decoupaging napkins website also matte varnish by liquid text will it work for using on glass before decoupaging instead of using the varnish
Thank you
Angie
Hello my friend! Here's a link to that ladybug napkin. I don't know if the liquitex will work in that capacity. You can do a small sample and see if it works. I sent you a message back on another comment with a link to a product that works well as a primer for any shiny surface. Thanks for watching 💖😊

@@masoncreationsetc thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it. You are a wonderful woman enjoy every video that you have you doing and I found the ladybug napkin. Thank you. Have a wonderful day.

Is your name Angel?
@@masoncreationsetc my name is Angelina. I was born in Italy
I get all of my napkins at Decoupagenapkins. I'll leave you a link.

@@masoncreationsetc yes, thank you. I think they were Etsy. I ordered some from Decoupage napkins. Coming any day! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Thk you very much!!
@@masoncreationsetc it’s okay. It’s part of the learning process. I had fun. Most came out great and I love the finish that heavy duty polyvine gives after multiple coats!!
Hello. Can you leave a link or name of seller on Amazon for the shells you use please. I’d like a seller you’d recommend, as not all are equal. And the size you get. Thank you.
Hi there, Here you go. I was very happy with these shells. None were broken on arrival and they were clean. They are 4-5 inches each and it's a package of 10. Thanks for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
