New to sport seen so many different types of sinkers with this type what stops the roll with strong current? just the weight? no flat sides, no wires, have you tried any of your own design, thanks great vid so much to learn
Fish, the sinkers have flat sides at the top and hold well. The advantage these sinkers have over typical pyramid is they are more stable during a cast and don’t tumble like a pyramid. You get more distance. The stability comes from more weight at bottom. Sometimes you need that extra distance to get past a sand bar.
Fish, just make sure you carry an arsenal of different weight sinkers. I carry a 4 ounce for pretty calm seas a 5 ounce for rough water and a 6 ounce for water so rough I should be home watching TV.

I’ve been looking everywhere for that mold, any idea where to get one at? My father in-law has three 5gallon worth of wheel weights and I’d like to make those sinkers you got. Thanks in advance.

Do you have any idea if Sputnik molds are available in the USA? Not shipped from Europe
Jr, The only sputnik sinker supplies I have been able to find are in the UK. Here is the link. They sell molds wires etc.

How much would you be willing to sell 4 and 5 oz weights
Tom I really don’t sell weights but if you check with eBay you’ll find prices at around $1.00 a sinker which is much cheaper than some of the retail stores.

Can’t find anything but standard pyramid weights. What is the name of those weights?
Tom , you probably won’t find my sinker style.. that mold is a Hilts 2-3-4-5
I have never seen a single sinker for 5$.
