What a beautiful car. For those that dont know, this is not an ordinary Riviera. The Riviera Gran Sport is the nicest most sought after Buicks ever made. I WANT IT!

Car is simply beautiful.... Nothing like American Car's from the 50's and 60's, especially GM.

Had a light blue one in 1972. Loved it. Mine had a decal on the air intake that I've seen no where else. It said "Wildcat 440 + 5."

Years ago, I seen a '64 Electra 225 in a salvage yard. It had the same 140 mph speedometer as this Riviera. I think the instrument cluster and a few other pieces were taken from a '62-'65 Riviera to do the conversion.

I think Wildcats in '64 may have had the 140 mph odometer, but in the HT coupes only.(They came with factory 4 speed trans and positrac also)

Back in the 1980's I had a '63 2 door Le Sabre that grenaded it's original wildcat 410 motor. A buddy of mine sold me his aunt's beater '64 4 door Electra 225 for some crazy low price. It had one of these motors. So I put it along with I think a Super Turbine 300 trans. in my Le Sabre. It was similar to a Turbo 400 except you couldn't manualy shift into 2nd gear, that turned out to be the most time consuming thing to install. After 3 months of gutting out the Electra, posi and all that was a fast car, I got my first speeding ticket in that car. I didn't miss the Dynaflo with reverse all the way over to the right. I got rid of it in 1988.

The Gran Sport offered the 425 "Nailhead"" with factory dual quads. I wish I never sold mine.
