Hey Guys! I was locked out of my account for a while. I finally got back in. I’m going to start making content again real soon!! I’ll post a Q and A video for you tonight!!
Just had my L5/S1 TLIF last Friday, discharged home on Sunday evening, in my first week of recovery now. The Navy DOCs and Med Staff at NMCP Portsmouth took great care of me! Finding your videos and channel reinforces my plans for recovery. I was planning to do what you have already done. Thanks for sharing your journey and process. Keep Motivating others!
Happy for your recovery bra. My story i m 62 still employed and highly active. I have done my L4-5 surger 25:58 y on the 10 December 2024 I was so nervous i just prayed to God and say God here I am please help. After surgery i was experiencing the worse. As from day1 zero pain. I salute dr Mpanza he did a good job. Physiotherapist walk me every morning. Only a week then i was discharged. Today is January 10 I cook and do some cleaning driving is still a problem but i do go for shopping. God is good all the time. Thank for your videos
@@TheFuzedLife i am taking some time off from that to figure things out. tried kicking the heavy bag the other day, had a kind soreness in the hip. still thinking about whether to get a fusion lol
@@isaaccruel3994 Well if you can last a few more weeks/months, I'll continue updating you on my progress. I actually went for a second long walk today. Totaled out about 3.1 miles. Hamstrings are a little tight. Moving around well. Thanks for the support bro. Any questions holler at me.
Thank you for the information I am in the same situation. Next Thursday is my surgery date. The scary thing is I am over weight and they say it could cause leakage from the sack around the nerves. I justhave to keep praying that the Lord will let this be successful and I will be alright. I am 73 and I have been suffering from sciatica running down my leg all the way to my foot. They are fixing l4 l5 s1.your video has inspired me to continue with the plan for back surgery.
Please keep me updated after. Surgery as of now, 4 years later, has worked out for me. I just tell everyone to make sure you do your research before jumping in! Thanks and speedy recovery!
Thank you for your videos... watching everyone's progress has been eye opening . I had my surgery on August 2, 2023. L4-L5 anterior and posterior lumbar decompression and fusion implants allografts. I feel a bit lost and confused...but pain free. I stopped using pain meds, and walker on my 3rd day. I feel well overall, but my stomach feels strange...wish I could start cycling today. Keep us posted.
Please follow your doctors orders. I don’t give medical advice but I can tell you about my process. You can always email me with questions! I hope your recovery goes great! It’s sounds like you’re off to a good start! Keep it up and please keep us updated on the channel!!
I love your videos...they're so insightful and are helping me get through my recovery of having a double fusion with 2 disc replacements...I did over an hour of walking today and I'm paying for it now with soreness but it's tolerable so I'm ok with it...but most of my struggles are in bed...I can't lay flat because the incision area is still tender and trying to maneuver on either side is just painful...even getting out of bed is still challenging...I'm hoping in my case week 3 might be a turn for the better the way it was for you...sorry to ramble on...just wanted to say thanks for your videos and I appreciate your honesty.
Thank you for sharing! My roommate just had back fusion surgery L1 through L5. Big surgery! I sent him a link to your beginning video. (25 minutes) I hope it prepares him for what to expect. Again, thank you for sharing. It will help people.
Thanks so much for posting these weekly updates (I just found them thus evening) Your description of your pain bedir surgery on your wk 1-2 really hit home. I appreciate the patient's point of view as to what to expect helped me go into this with eyes wide open to the recovery process. As you did, I'm currently trying to read up on as much of the recovery as possible. Thank you again.
Great videos! I just watch a bunch of them. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post-op l4-5 fusion and feel great. Quick question were you wearing a back brace on your walks and was there a time when you stopped wearing one. The brace I have seams to be causing more pain when I wear it then when I don't. I'm currently living in Cambodia where I had the surgery and was lucky to find a good surgery. I'm walking about 2-3 miles a day now. Thanks again for the great content!
I had the same done as you. I’m just done with week 2 post op and it has been a game changer. So far happy. Just concerned that I took 2ndays of home meds of anti-inflammatory. Will Stop that now as I read that it prevents or delays fusion. Question: Sitting …? How Often are you sitting and do you use your brace? That
