Just bought the game. I met some thirsty wretches in the desert, wanted to give them some water. As soon as the first drop touched the guy's lips, two cars (one of them packed with explosives) came outa nowhere and decided to ram into us head on. The cars ran over the wretches and both exploded, also killing the drivers. I was completely unscathed, surrounded by 5 corpses and 2 blazing wrecks. Whole thing lasted about 3 seconds.
That was THE MOST Mad Max thing I have ever seen in my life.

I have had some crazy moments in this game - I feel like there's just things naturally built into it that creates such awesome chaotic moments!
I loved this game. 2015 was a great year for gaming, and so many classics, and this is one of them imo. I did however find it lacked a few things that grew to really bother me:
1. Bike - no motorcycles or dirtbikes at all in the game, and I think that was a HUGE miss. If they ever do a sequel, hopefully we see that.
2. Larger Vehicles - You don't really see anything on the scale of fury road, but I'd love to see more large semi trucks decked out with turrets and launching enemies.
3. Nemesis system - This one was the biggest. I thought for sure they'd include it, they went to the extremes of patenting it, and if ever there was an IP that fit such a system, it would be mad max.
Hopefully a sequel could include this stuff.
I think you raise some really interesting points!
1. It honestly never occurred to me, perhaps it was an issue with getting the mechanics to work? I'm not sure but I think it's a great question
2. I kinda didn't mind this too much because honestly there was already such a huuuge variety of vehicles to choose from and I think Scrotus having something huge felt like he was more of a threat and helped show the odds being stacked against you
3. I think this could have been a really cool edition - especially since you go through clearing out camps through out your play through any way and there's quite a few characters that they make use of. It is a shame but I'm definitely not upset by it because the game we got is still honestly pretty hefty so I'm fine either way.
I definitely agree a sequel could do well include all that though!

@@dox_plays Great points! Your right about Scrotus, his fight definitely stood out. But for sure, the nemesis system was the biggest thing missing imo. Idk, I think I definitely read way to hard into WB patenting that system, but it seemed like they were going to set a tone for all their games, with focus on reusable systems that create emergent gameplay. Seemed intelligent to me haha.
But yea, hopefully in a sequel. Thanks for the great reply!

I would probably not want to see that system in all their games though as I'd imagine it'd end up being too repetitive, sort of like some of the open world games we see today, but a few games with it wouldn't be a bad idea i think

The World building and detail in it is really well done and it has some pretty awesome moments throughout! The story also is pretty good in my opinion! Worth checking out especially if you already own it!

I've got a tid bit of lore, the reason chumbucket says Dinki-Di is in the second mad max movie, Max is seen eating a can of dog food title Dinki-Di (same can is seen in game)
I'd assume that it's now a slang term for dog in the wasteland, that's just my assumption though & the way of speaking has changed but i can't recall how they say in Road Warrior off the top of my head
Ah fair, My understanding though as an Australian is that it's an Aussie term meaning honest or true. And with the world set in Australia it makes sense. The only thing I didn't like was how it was pronounced because as an Australian, I'm pretty sure it's "Die" and no "Dee"
Though the game itself initially had Millers involvement; he did distance himself from it and with the studio being an American one it's I can see how it played out.
@@dox_plays oh i completely get where you're coming from im aussie as well, just never ran into the term before (at least outside of the series), i just for some reason remember this very obscure fact and hoped it would be a bit of a fun fact (kinda), i think it could go either way, if Miller was involved early on he might of made the point to distinguish it, i suppose it's more at what point the story was being handled & at what point Miller involvement ended
Yes definitely, it is a shame because this in itself is a great game - even though it may change certain things from Millers official canon.
I could see the pronunciation could fit if we consider how much time has probably passed potentially but it's still just something that annoyed me lol
If they decide to make a sequel i hope you still play as max and keep everything that was good about the car combat in this game but add being able to climb to the roof of your car and jump to another car roof while driving and have a single player and open world online mode where you can expand your empire and have a huge empire in the wasteland like the citadel or something and you have to make bullet and gas convoy deliveres and pick ups with a huge war rig and like 30 cars guiding it and online players can put together their own horde of cars to go and try and take out the convoy and you can jump from your car to the top of the war rig and fight people on top of the war rig and tackle people off of it
Oh man! I think there are definitely some cool ideas you've mentioned, but I feel like the scope of that would be so big it may end up feeling directionless and I honestly can't see too many companies doing that well.
I suppose they could split up the singleplayer and multiplayer portions which could make this a huge game though.
I'd definitely be keen to check it though! Would be super exciting to be able to dive back into this one!
One thing you got wrong is that George miller was in it . He was not warner brothers made the game themselves and told him nothing and they made it with avalance studios and at the end credits george is nowhere to be seen
Yes, although I didn't go further into it - as mentioned he was
"initially" involved but ended up leaving due to disagreements as far as I understand it. I believe there is a video that explains this. He did share a lot of his own original ideas, though the developers of the game changed a lot of what he had planned and intended and some could/should even be considered spoilers.
Nevertheless I think this game is quite good and fit's very nicely into the world
