The most recent addition to the checkpoint lineup is called the Checkmate. However, Trek will be keeping the current iteration as well. This way, perspective riders have choices.
@@GetOutArizona Trek indeed released the new checkmate (SLR, gravel race bike) but at the same time they also released the new gen 3 checkpoint (SL, adventure gravel bike) with different geo than the “old” gen 2 checkpoint that is shown in this video.
@@GetOutArizona no not the checkmate. I’m referring to checkpoint. You presented Gen 2 but Gen 3 has been out for several weeks along with the racier Checkmate.
@@harrywebster6752 Yes, you are correct, and I should have been clearer. We await the arrival of the newer Gen 3 and will do a full review once she hits the floor. The newest Gen had not been released at the time of this recording. I think it was the following week. The pitfalls of pre-recording. Thank you again for watching and commenting. We do enjoy the dialogue.
Trek Corta Madera mounted 700x40mm Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H on my 2021 Domane. Exhilerating confident stable ride compared to Bontrager GR1. Seat post to steering head distance slightly shorter Domane. I have 700x45mm Gravel H on my Checkpoint. 700x45mm more stable with transitions on mix surfaces, but slightly slower. When 45mm wear out will standardize family's multisurface bikes to 40mm for distance riding.
As always, we sincerely appreciate your feedback and additions to the conversation, my friend. The support you've given us over the last several months has been crazy. I know for a fact that our other viewers appreciated it as well. Keep adventuring safe, my friend. It's always a pleasure to hear from you.
You are absolutely correct; that is our goof. I mistakenly pulled the wrong bike from the showcase. These things happen from time to time. We do appreciate you pointing it out, though.
Great video. I went the Domane route. 2 wheel set’s, 32 mm Continental GP on road, 38 mm Teravail Washburn on gravel.
That sounds like a sweet ride, my friend. We sincerely appreciate you watching as well as adding to the conversation. Adventure safely.
Great info. Rode some south Georgia red dirt roads today on my Check Point.
We appreciate your watching and feedback, my friend. Continue to adventure safe.
Isn't there a more recent release of the Checkpoint? This seems to feature the outgoing model.
Yes there is, strange they did not pick the new/latest checkpoint for this video

I like the floor stands the bikes are sitting in Brandon. What are the details?
Here is the link, my friend. Thank you for watching, as well as asking your question.

Both of these bikes are Shimano by the way. The checkpoint has GRX and the domane is 105.
