He's been my favourite bushcraft instructor since I found him on RUclips 4 years ago. He's a no b.s. type of guy 100% genuine.

Yeah the title is click bait, he's not trash talking, just using Shawns name to get views.
We call the marines "Bootnecks", I'd say all marines carry a certain raw above average intelligence, most marines have been peacekeepers and on the ground diplomats, teachers and most of all the very sharp spear. Marines also have character, stature and confidence unique to these units.

I almost didn’t click on this video because I was like “this is gonna be some dumb sh*t-Corporal Kelly isn’t fake whatsoever..” but after clicking it I realised it’s actually a clickbait title and intended to compliment and promote his channel. That said, I’d say Shawn’s channel is one of many very important channels on this platform that seek to empower us to survive in a world gone to hell & I love seeing how easy Shawn makes survival look despite it being a very difficult thing to become good at.

I had a much older cousin (3 time ‘Nam veteran) who even at my 60 years,I thought the world of. Straight forward,cared and taught me a lot about wilderness living. In my much younger days,I was very much around native families who also taught me their way of life. I feel I’ve been blessed with that knowledge, though I don’t use it much, I have it.
I watch all his videos even the shorts and mid-week mini videos.

Shawn is probably my favorite RUclipsr to watch.
I have learned a great deal from him. I started hammock-camping in a local state forest about seven years ago (I was out this afternoon, cuttting some deadfall that I bucked and split, and left under a camo tarp for my next times out). I am 68, retired, and I still love being in the forest. I over-nighted just last week in my hammock, because we have had a mild winter here in western PA. Thank you for endorsing someone whom I have learned a great deal from. Be safe, and be outdoors!

Being a veteran and having used some of the survival skills he discusses, I can assure you he is no fake. He's straight forward and explains in detail without a ton of technical jargon. His channel is full of very practical and extremely useful "real world" tips that can keep you alive.
I make it a point to watch his channel every Sunday.

I watch Corporal Kelly each time he puts up a video. I really like that he does takes the time to show everyone that watches completely how to do or build something that will keep you alive! great Job Corp Kelly! We can all share his information to help others and that is the second thing. It is actual something that will come in handy! That's what make Corporal Kelly so great!
Corporal's Corner gave me the motivation to get my disabled self off the couch and into the outdoors. Granted, I don't do much hiking, but many of the campsite skills I've learned have proven invaluable. Thanks for doing this video.
I watch Corporal Kelly 2x a week he drops vids every Wednesday and Sunday. Love this Channel. He is genuine and real. Wish he was my neighbor and I could join him in these adventures and learn from his wealth of knowledge. Great guy.
Use to like watching and learning from his videos, but lately they have turned into a lot of whining about how RUclips e has a treating him and making it harder for him to even exist. That may be true, but I don’t need to hear it on every episode.
Also, several of his “overnight” quests seem to be fake as his morning coffee routine seems to be in the middle of the night/darker than when he said he was going to sleep. Showing your watch time doesn’t make it the real time.
I learned a lot from the early videos, but I no longer watch til the end because in addition to the YT whining, those 'Final Thoughts' are boring AF.
I watch to see if he sleeps overnight as well. That's all that matters. All the other nonsense he does like teaching skills that are beneficial are a waste of time.😆

Him reminding his current subs to help him because RUclips doesn't recommend his videos and informing new subs he gets every week that don't know this, and to see if he sleeps, an act you yourself have mastered since you were an infant? It's a RUclips channel created for entertainment in a mocked outdoor Bushcraft/Survival style to teach skills, not a 24 hour video log of this is exactly what I do. The man makes content for people that is absolutely free to anyone, but take a great effort from him as well as his time. Your 2 paragraph comment is nothing but whining. I just discovered Corporals Corner and my wife and I think he is very genuine. Have started to and have watched a number of his videos. He speaks plainly and we both understand what he is talking about. The only question I have is wether or not he feels that he should be armed in some areas. We live in Canada and there are a number of bears up here. Should we carry a weapon on hikes in the mountains.
This guy is a proper educator.Puts his neck on the line.Not like half the people out there who want a title so they can sit back on their ass.When you demonstrate like he does it takes real work.God bless this guy.

I've watched corporals corner since the early days in 2010 I joined the Marines and my recruiter put me on to him he was an infantry Marine. I also like the chanel Coalcracker bushcraft. They are both great resources even for guys like me that have forgotten more about survival and bushcraft than most learn I'll see a video and it knocks loose the dirt of time on old skills that are rarely used

Corporals Corner is my all-time favorite channel and I have been a youtube consumer ever since youtube was created! His videos are the absolute best in class! I watch and rewatch and rewatch most all of his videos because there is so much content I can't take it all in in one watch! He is authentic and approachable. Cpl Kelly is my favorite Marine! I can't wait for Wednesdays and Sundays drops and today is Wednesday so I am so excited I can't wait for today's drop! He has inspired me to get a bug-out bag, a get-home-bag, and a every-day-carry bag and even a get-home-kit for my Jeep! FEMA should be thrilled with Corporals Corner because that is exacty what they encourage all civilian citizens to do! Cpl Kelly has inspired me to get in shape and get outdoors! I now belong to a gym so I can get in shape to go hiking and to join a campers Meet-Up group to start getting outdoors again!
The -episode That PISSED me off the most????? It's the one where he talks about digging FOX HOLES in Vietnam ?????? He was NEVER in Vietnam????? And that's a slap in the face to the fifty-nine thousand Americans that actually died In Vietnam!!!!!
He is doing exceptional job. I went from weekend hiking to full bushcraft, mostly because of him. I stopped using fancy camping gear. Now I have minimalistic approach. Tarp, cords, sleeping bag, first aid kit, solid knife and few basic tools is all I need to connect with a nature. I also adore meals he's doing. No restaurant can compete with a food made by yourself in the wild after few hours of exploring. Life is good. 👍🥰
Yeah he never actually teaches you to gather food. Actually very little of his content will help keep you alive in the wild 👍 still love his videos.
The Corporal is a good guy and my inspiration to start bushcraft nearly 3 yrs ago. I've learned almost everything I know about bushcraft from Corporal and Canterbury.

He’s a friend of mine. Actually a really good guy, really selfless and giving in person. He worked very hard for those videos. I was scared seeing him for the first time given how big the guy is, but he’s wonderful guy for real.

But you hit the nail on the head...his channel is the badger's nadgers and he is impeccable in his delivery and content. Genuinely nice guy and his instructional videos are second to none. I make breakfast on Sunday just before his show comes on so I can eat and watch at the same time, love the show and the content. Like it so much I'm buying all of the materials just to go out and rough it for a weekend or 2 or 3.

I find him to be knowledgeable, a very good instructor, and a goofy cook. His generally serious demeanor on screen looks like it contains a playful little boy who is anxious to be completed, and go run around in the woods a bit. Shawn Kelly, Dan Wowack, and Dave Canterberry are guys I’d like to have on my team any day of the week.

Awesome channel by a bloke who's as real as it gets. One of only a handful of channels i have the bell rung for, the only reason I'm watching this video is RUclips knows what i like and fed me more Corporals Corner related content. Education and entertainment is served up regularly by shawn. He engages with people on many social media platforms and every week he pulls something new out of the ether. Between him and his soon to be father in law, and colleague at the Pathfinder school, Dave Canterbury I've learned so much stuff that has been fed to me regularly in easily digestible bites. Can't fault the guy. His zero BS, real as it gets, all thrill no fill teaching style is often copied but rarely equaled. I for one will continue to watch everything he posts and often i find myself delving into the archives for the extensive catalogue of content from the last decade and a half and i recommend that you do to.

Love Shauns channel ( corporals corner) very informative no ( bull sh:t ) served his country twice always helps with questions and has a lot of time for his viewers in from the UK but really enjoy his reviews bought a fair bit of kit that he recommended and it's never let me down all in all a nice guy who deserves to reap the rewards for his hard work

I live in Wyoming, and most of advise I see on camping and survival channels on RUclips, are pretty much useless where I live. You would starve trying to gather food. Water can be very hard to find and the
weather can go south on you really quick. But I still like Corporals Corner.
My only complaint with Corporal Kelly is that his camp food is 10000% better than my own.
Nothing beats spam and eggs. Maybe bacon.

I've only discovered Corporals Corner a few months ago, but have watched many of the older videos. I've been catching all the new content on Sundays and now the shorts during the week. I've been a follower of Corporal's Corner for several years. I was just wondering, when was the last time you actually watched the channel? A LOT of the stuff you mentioned he does on his channel, he hasn't done in a while. I think it's been over a year, since he's actually taught any bushcrafting or survival skills.
That may also just be youtubes bs algorithims keeping him from being shown, i was subscribed to him and yet his stuff never shows on my feed unless i search him out. RUclips doesnt want people to learn how to be self reliant because tyrants hate self reliant people.

This is coming from someone that is a member of the same fraternity, and also an ironworker that makes a living doing a ton of welding! His bushcraft skillset is noteworthy and he sets the bar for his passion to be “in the field”, as well as teaching. Veterans will always recognise each other and this man is the real deal, I'm 59 and a former UK RAMC Para Commando, cross trained Combat Medic and Combat Diver. Those who downplay or ridicule others have usually not done much with their lives or attempted similar but failed!
He verbally “attacked” me in the comments of one of his videos. All I did was offer some constructive criticism on the content of the video. He went straight to attack and name calling. Yes he may offer good info but as for his personally.... I’ll pass thanks
Almost all of his comments are negative and condescending.
It's not just a channel of survival or gear sale. He is an example of bravery and positive attitude with life, teaching lessons as one of the marines: "improvise, adapt and overcome". In a world of fainted hearts, hedonists, perverts and drug addicteds, he shines brigth as a beacon in the dark.
