  • In this video I start the duct but my car requires work so I lost half a week. At least some progress has been made on of my Fisher Youngster.
My videos are not intended to be instructional for building aircraft or the kit, they are to share how I am progressing and my methods. You may get ideas and tips for building an aircraft. My methods are those I have learnt or developed over time with aircraft, cars and boats. IF YOU USE MY METHOD ON YOUR AIRCRAFT, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Feel free to comment and give advice or ask questions, I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

I like the slider duct divider. Looking good Algy. Its amazing how much work there is on the cowling area.

Thanks Giles but I may yet change to a flap, I have been doing some maths and think in this extreme hot climate we have there is still a tenancy to over cool a flap might be a better solution. I need to crunch more numbers.

hi. if possible put the connections of the oilcooler always on top to prevent a bad surprise 😉. if i didn't catch it in other videos, it would be a great idea to close the firewall (if not recognized - it's there to prevent you from getting fried by hot oil or getting grilled in open flame 😳) nice build, still following you around greetings

Not enough space to put the connectors on top but easy to fill bleed the cooler. The firewall will be sealed it is only a temporary fut at the moment as insulation is going between metal and wood.

My initial thought was "why would you even need ducting?" but then I realised it gives the advantage of being able to control airflow around the cooler. Makes total sense now.
Meanwhile at 1:72 scale, I've ordered some decals for an F-16 and Eurofighter Typhoon II. Nothing too expensive and its a bit of a daydreaming "Oh I could build one like that" type of thing.

The duct is needed as air will not go through the hot oil cooler willingly 😀 Look forward to your videos.

Show us the damage that was done and how you repaired it.

I will do when I get around to it. Just think if there is a way of making the repair less obvious.
