Putting on the Lord Jesus Christ will make things evident when indecision clouds the mind. All that you preached was like a calling to sail in a life boat way above the things that are trying to annihilate us. Our gift is to be free to walk in the liberty to praise the Lord of life eternal...I pray for that zeal to recapture my heart in the things of HIM , to walk in those things, spiritually, wholeheartedly.❤❤❤

I've noticed that when I think I'm awake, there is something that comes up that shows me I'm not awake enough! But, I think that is how it is suppose to be. It's like the knowledge that "Jesus is coming soon." I think every believer has that "unction" within him and some people take it too far and get rapt up in the end times instead of serving God in their everyday life.

Brother Mike! 😄 I appreciate your videos so much.
I'd like to comment on something you said in this one hehe. Idk if anyone has any counsel for me but it would be highly appreciated! :)
You mentioned being annoyed by what you're saying and frankly I WAS a bit annoyed. 😂
You also mentioned struggling with this issue, wondering what was bad or good and what's okay to do as a christian, and I'm constantly in that state that I end up doing something else you mentioned which is just kinda throwing up my hands like "whatever" and just choosing not to think about it too much because it's just too hard for me. Though that only usually lasts a day or so 😂 because I can't help but care about what God wants me to do and actually doing it.
The problem is that I have a great deal of anxiety and whenever I try to discern between right and wrong I basically end up having panic attacks of varying degrees because I just can't figure it out and I don't take the idea of sinning against God lightly whatsoever. I overthink to a point it becomes so muddled it seems that either way might be right or wrong.
This idea of asking yourself "if I put on the Lord Jesus is that gonna include this?" doesn't work for me.
I say this with absolutely no hostility and PURE curiosity/desire to understand...but like how are we going to try to claim that watching TV is somehow putting on the Lord Jesus? Would Jesus play video games? Or take a long hot bath mainly because it feels good and only perhaps secondarily for health or hygiene reasons?
Plus there are so many things Jesus did where I'm like "woah that was unexpected and I feel confused by this". I feel I have to mention that I don't wonder if he did something bad but rather I obviously just don't have a very good sense of what is right and wrong.
So how exactly does that idea work? 😅
I also end up torturing myself with the idea that my flesh is putting up an incredible fight and I'm actually just trying to justify doing something bad.
Or could it be the world is very complex and I just lack the wisdom to discern?
Point is it's torturous and I'm in pain pretty much on the daily in this regard because there are so many daily things that I question and following Jesus isn't just about the big decisions in your life but it's also about the smaller things...
I'm sad and frustrated because as of yet every single person I've spoken to about these things has no explanation or clarity. They just apparently know that "this thing is bad" and "this thing isn't bad". Or the answer is "I don't know" or that I'm just "taking things too far". It doesn't help me to grow in wisdom to do right and just further causes me anguish and utterly discourages me.
    P.S. I wonder if I have autism and that's why I don't understand these things. 🤦‍♀️

    • @judylloyd7901
      @judylloyd7901 2 года назад +2

So sorry that you are struggling with anxiety regarding the details of your Christian life.
I think that perhaps you are overthinking things.
Regarding watching television or playing games, etc., it depends on what you are wanting to watch/play, and how much time you'd spend doing it. I would probably err on the side of caution, if you are doubtful.
If your mind is being renewed by *soaking it with scripture,* you will grow in discernment, and these questions will be easier to decide.
Choose activities that are good and profitable, and which are beneficial to your mind and your Christian faith.
There are things which are not bad in themselves but which are not necessarily profitable for you.
Just keep reading the Word, which contains all we need for life and godliness, and you will find the will of God for you in these things.

Romans 13: 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. 11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. I can relate to sin as wack-a-mole if we are saved but not that serious about seeking God. It's His power and Grace that helps over come sinful habits. So we have to examine our intentions..are they really good or are they complacent. I personally believe that just like with alcohol, there is a place for marijuana in moderation. There are MANY herbs God put on the Earth for healing, and marijuana is one of those. There are definitely pain-relieving & health benefits in it, and just like alcohol, it doesn't immediately push you off the edge of soberness as soon as you use it.
Just as with everything, there needs to be wisdom and moderation, but I don't believe that God would condemn that one thing while giving us all the plants of the Earth for food and healing.

There are quite a number of Christians Mike who are looking for the blinding light thinking that it is impossible to miss but if you read Mathew 25 : 31 onwards you will find two groups which did not see Jesus when he came to them, so what was it that made them short sighted?
What happens to the weed Christians in the end times will they not see Jesus until it is too late? Does it not say judgement starts with the house of God? Can we see the angels separating the wheat from the weeds?
    Matthew 24:14
.this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

    Mike,
What do you do if someone asks you for money and you give it to them , and they don't even attempt to pay you back, which is fine because of what the Bible says. But then they turn around and ask you again and again???
The Bible tells us to give freely expecting nothing in return. But it also says:
"The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous is gracious and gives."
You're supposed to give with a cheerful heart but right now, I'm quite ANNOYED with the person I loaned money to.😠
I know for a fact that this person has also asked others for money, and has not paid them back either.
    When is enough
    Enough?

    • @judylloyd7901
      @judylloyd7901 2 года назад +1

Yeah, too many Christians allow themselves to be taken advantage of because they misinterpret the scriptures.
Before you lend money, it's a good idea to find out what kind of credit rating the "borrower" has.
If you are not bothered by not getting your money back, go ahead. If it's an amount you need to have returned, then I would not lend to anyone who is a poor risk.
That's just being a good steward. If you want to give money to increase the kingdom of God, that's another matter. But feeling obligated to lend money to someone just because they ask for it is not wisdom.

I think you are wrong about BEING the light. It says "put on the armor of light." But, we are not the light. Jesus is the light. If we understand the Armor of God, Jesus is every piece of that armor! We are like candlesticks that the light shines from, but we are not the light. I know the Bible says we are the light of the world, but only as Christ Himself shines through us. He shines as we proclaim and represent Him. If we are the light, men would see us instead of Jesus. We are the light only because of Jesus shining through us. Am I wrong?

Jesus does say that we are the salt and the light of the world in Matthew 5 after the beatitudes in his sermon on the mount. If you wanted to say The Light, to refer to his deity, then yes we are not light in that regard. We are not God. This is probably what you mean when you say 'we are not the light of the world only Jesus" and I would agree. We are the light of the world because of the light of God shining through us since we are temples of the Holy Spirit. I believe you said that as well. Probably just a lapse in context and misunderstanding! Do you have a time stamp when he said that? I'd be interested to get his context too! 🙂

The expressed belief that Jesus is the Son of God is a most curious notion. For was he not a Galilean peasant who apparently earned a living as a carpenter until he discovered the attraction of religion when attending a baptismal gathering by the banks of the river Jordan. Taking upon himself the mantle of a religious man favoured of God, he wandered from village to village living on charity while promoting a better life after death. Only to fall foul of the established order and was executed alongside to other criminals. Is this not the simple truth?
