awesome playing -must sound great in person - 50 years ago I handwound a low Z pickup on an alnico bar magnet and used a tiny mic transformer to match it to my Traynor YBA3 - it was kinda hifi with lots of clean treble but looked terrible from a rough bobbin so did not mount it. My shoulders are frozen so badly I can't reach down to the "G" on the E string. How would you compare Jack's approach to a bass guitar vs that of the late Phil Lesh?
