A funky fusion song I wrote and recorded a while back. Me on all the basses and vocals, Chris Ralles on drums and percussion, me and Chris on BG vox. Yup, you are hearing three bass tracks and no guitars! Enjoy the ode to the King of the Seven Seas.

DOES FENDER MAKE A LEFTY MODEL???
Nice video and t-Shirt 😀🟢⚪🔴
Fantastic review!!! Thank you!
Nice playing Joe...:)
I know every musician likes what they like when it comes to guitars and basses and pedals. All fine. But I do believe that every electric bassist should at least give a Tele bass a ride. These things kick!
I’ve got a white one. Love it
this bass made in Indonesia but i never seen it
Is it missing the mutes on the bridge that an actual ‘66 would have?
As somebody who plays zingy rounds in a rock setting, somehow your playing sold me on this bass. I feel like most other reviewers lean too much into the mud but you really showed its versatility. Thanks for a great review.
What strings did you put on it?
You're cool man! Nice review
nice bass
Nice. 333.Rick
My first bass was a 67 Gibson EB-O. I got it at 13 and I'm now 60, all original. Still love the Mudbucker but I added a DiMarzio P pup in the sweet spot 3 years after I bought it because I wanted a P bass but did not sound exactly like a P bass but the combination of both comes close. Have plenty of basses but still love my EBO.😊
Had one of these back in 1975 - the first new Fender I ever bought. Through a Marshall Superbass and 4 x 12 it made the street tremble.
Wow Joe, I see you have my favorite (original member lineup) rock band on the wall, along with my all time favorite album which includes the group's trademark song (25 or 6 to 4). Saw the group with Terry @ MSG, N.Y.C. (Fri. 10/28/77) which was Kath (RIP) last appearance in the Garden before that horrible incident three months later. Wished it never happened, it broke my heart! As always thanks again for another cool electric bass guitar review, cheers Bro!
I was still living in New York at that time, and I saw them at the Nassau Coliseum that year. I met Peter for the first time in November of 77, right after the Madison Square Garden show. I worked at Manny's music on 48th Street and he came in. Nothing will ever top the original band!
I get one a few days ago. Looks small but sounds great. With my orange amp it's the perfect match FOR ME ❤
what strings you have on?
I'm getting the old Squier T-Bass in the coming weeks - it's visibly been played, used n' abused, with a real Fender P neck and a top-loader bridge. Screw holes, worn Sunburst finish, the works. It's freakin' cool, and sounded like a monster through the crappy little amp I tested it on. Definitely gonna be even better on my Laney at home. These '72 T-Basses are my absolute favourite, visually, and the sound's awesome too, sort of halfway between an EB-0 and a Precision. Just hoping that mine sounds half as good as this! Might not be as meaty with the insanely light gauge strings I've bought ahead of time... (.085, .065, .045, .035, for the flexibility I'm used to on my short scale.)
I’ve really wanted to have a review from someone who really likes this bass. Thank you!
My pleasure!
More videos please!!! love it!
Bass has a singing quality to it, excellent demo of it.
Got me one. Surf Green. Previous owner put a Badass III on it. Hell yeah. What a Bass. This Video/Review was, together with 3 others, responsible for GAS kicking in hard. Bass is a little harder to play, but that sound … Killer. Thanks for GAS-Attack ! ;-) By the way: What Flats do you use?
you slap 'ocasionally'?? 🤣
This is a good informative review and a great sounding bass! Nice chops!
On my iPad the tone is as close to a double bass as I’ve heard. Not at all what I had expected.
It can definitely get that!
Hey Mr Joe,,,I have the squire one in a BEAUTIFUL sunburst & plays like a dream. Has sweet jazz & p tone and punch of a sting ray without hassle of batteries PLUS I haven't seen an active with any more power ,,THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO,,,from Arkansas 🎸
Awesome!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best bass ever made.
Hi that's a 1971, they were the only EB-3's with the solid black scripted truss cover. I had a 71' around 2002-03, now I have a 70' all original no script cover all black. They also had some with solid black / white trim truss covers.
Joe - You mentioned putting on Ernie Ball flatwound strings... were the gauges 40,50,70,95?
Yesiree!
@@joeiaquinto9214 Joe what do you have for PU heights. Mine seems a bit high 12/64th
@@401Blues Factory specs. I didn't change it.
😍!!!!
Found a short-scale with jazz body. Better balanced. Just my opinion.
Great video!!!
Guitar sellers just try different ways to improve their income ,that is why they produce different models for musical maniac, but there is no better pick up than this one of P Bass and it's place in the body of the guitatr is the right place .That is why any rickenbacker has no chance against P bass ,although his neck pick up has more low frequencies....
Great Job Joe!! Thanks for a great review. I will be buying one of these now. Thanks to you!! lol ❤️🎸
My 1973 is 11 pounds. Fun fun fun.
Ouch! That's a sittin' down bass :)
Great review. Thank you!
Great playing! Nice demo
Another killer review!
Not even the Squier Bronco basses have these dorky "2-and-2" saddle bridges anymore, ffs... I'm afraid I must demand the ability to adequately intonate my instrument. I really wish Fender would normalize updating the parts of vintage designs that never worked to begin with. Shame, because it's gorgeous... I will probably still get one and just put a respectable bridge on it. 😅
I get it. If i were my only bass I would definitely replace the bridge but so far, it serves me.
@@joeiaquinto9214They should have made a new musicmaster bass for the vintera ii series...that would have made too much sense I suppose
do you like that hipshot bridge? what's better ? artec or di marzio?
The first Tele basses were built with a single coil in the P position.
Beautiful instrument, compa
6:07 lmfao "somebody was trying to convert this to stereo or judaism or something..." What's with people taking these beautiful instruments and defiling them?! Sheesh! Like when you find a 60s mustang with a seymour duncan humbucker on it and coil tap
Sounds lightyears better than before with the farkakte dimarzio and three way switch
I hate how modern players have to simply everything
Really nice review! Thanks!
So you're playing with round or flat wounds? Thanks
