I agree the standard sound isn’t too bad, there can be a bit of a burble on the overrun but for pops and bangs you’d have to remap. A cat back system wouldn’t do much for power either. I’ve had two of these and the first one had a thirst for Mobil 1 and constantly sooted exhausts, other one is much better, so be prepared for all of your hard work to be undone, also because of the valve system one side is always much worse than the other
I have a non-resonated catback on mine (put on before i got it) and honestly it isnt worth it and it drones like f*ck. If you remap it you will get some pops and gurgles out of it and it's way cheaper than spunking silly money on a largely pointless exhuast and the car will absolutely fly. A remap can be as little as £250 vs. A grand for a cat-back. You will probably need to pocket some money for a new clutch though as having owned two of these now, if the clutch is old it wont like the torque increase. Get a sachs organic if you can. Pricey and the pedal will be super heavy but they are bullet proof and you'll never need to change it again. On the subject of what the car is worth, it's basically worth nothing so if you wanna mod it, mod it. You'll never get your money back but given that you're at the bottom end of the market anyway, who cares? 😅
@dh1380 - love the comment, a Remap has crossed my mind... but it'll be something I want to revisit after taking the car on track first - with that said cheers for the clutch tip! Where value is concerned, it's pretty much the cheapest TTS you could buy that's still healthy and doesn't have a category so I've got a few exciting mods coming up :)
Perhaps try a scotch brite pad as they aren't as abrasive as steel wool. Good video, much more fun watching someone else getting dirty hands 😎
Good tip! Definitely not the cleanest of jobs to do 😁
Scotchbrite is the one. We used it to clean carbon off our rifles. It is ace.

Definitely. Direct Injection engines = Carbon build up everywhere
Loving the videos . I picked a tts up 3 months ago 09 going through some of the same thing as you ?
Great! What mileage is yours on @jodydownes2271?
