So thinking I'm doing a bit more looking around and came across this video and I went and looked at trex thing and I don't see how it's even close to what you offer. Not even sure how this became a thing
Probably people failing to "look into it" as you did. They see the similar names or hear someone else talking about "the issue" and just jump on board.
I don't understand how people can think something was stolen when they don't look or have features alike... this is equivalent to going to a leather belt store and stating the design was stolen from another belt brand... There are thousands of plate carriers in the world and with decades of manufactured products, this isn't reinventing the wheel at this point.
The only people looking for argument are losers that just want to see a argument between two companies that are doing the same for civilians, They don't even look remotely the same, Lots of Lucas haters.
To be fair, Lucas does deserve a lot of shit he gets. Being part of a cult, being homophobic and generally disrespectful towards people, speeding up his footage, lying about his placements/performance in competitions, giving bad advice, ect. But I agree about this specific situation.
