That last statement of his was a crock of sh*t. If he was so worried about his daughters being assaulted, why didn’t he confront the boyfriend?? He stabbed her almost 60 times-that rage was for her and her alone. Then to say “I take full responsibility”-but I promise you he doesn’t regret it. To him, she ruined his life and he was the victim. I hope someone beats the brakes off of him everyday for the rest of his life. What a monster.

His “apology” was a workshop in how narcissistic sociopaths attempt to appear human. I honestly don’t know how people can’t see through something like that. That speech was far too long. It was about HIM and he loves the sound of his own voice. He’s in love with himself and his pain and pride. He said all the things he thought we was supposed to, and “cried” without tears.

How can you say he was lying or being sociopathic? He took his punishment like a man, didn't tell lies or try to get off on a technicality, apologised to his wife and kids and the court. Because his speech was long? Even though he may have considered it his last speech to his wife/kids or to the public (considering how he's going to jail and may have thought that he could've been attacked there). Honestly, this is an example of a model prisoner, someone who can actually be rehabilitated. Someone remorseful and somebody who isn't a repeat offender and somebody who had a decent job and life and friends.

Seems you know NOTHING about psychology.
These men first pretend to be nice, then little by little they mentally torture their victim and make them believe their worth nothing as well as cut them off from their family and friends.
THEN the beatings start, and it often ends when they eventually kill their victim.
      This is an abuser-problem. NOT a victim-problem.

The difference between how Aisha cared for her daughters and how Lance did is striking. They actually were her first concern before even her own injuries. I think 40k was a very modest request for damages that included FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION surgery and even so she made sure the impact to her daughters was treated through therapy (how few children get the opportunity to receive counseling after witnessing abuse between their parents). Insane after all his talk about his love and protection of his daughters he murdered their mother in front of them and had the audacity to present another man as the real threat.

I hope he had better sense. Even if the guy was an extremely good and decent man by all accounts- that one act demonstrated that he had a serious rage issue. The fact that he had never abused her before made him almost more dangerous because there was nothing to guage, no escalation that could have warned her. If it were to happen again, it would be totally out of the blue, and that's precisely what happened. He lost his ability to excercise any kind of self control, and once that rage hit he didn't care who he hurt, his kids, his sister, the cop he hit. He should have had extremely supervised terms of probation, including ongoing mental health care. That's the only thing that could have possibly protected her. I don't know how 30 educated people could conclude that he was not a dangerous man, and he would never lose control like that again.

    “Ok are you injured?”
“He took off with my daughters in the car”
    “Is he with you now?”

It’s frustrating, I agree. But they are trained this way for many reasons. I heard one once where they found a person that was cold and stiff and the 911 operator was asking if they were awake, were they breathing, and then trying to get the people to do CPR. Thankfully they had to sense to say they would not do that but I could see someone feeling like they have to do what they are told. It’s very frustrating sometimes.

He hid his true self for so long... He was a role model, a great job, a beautiful wife and loving children... But apparently that wasn't enough for him. Seems he was quite the con. He even had support after committing a vicious crime, but he didn't appreciate it. He was so lucky that first time, unlike many, he had a chance to still have a good life.. but he still wasn't satisfied.
Those people that wrote the letters on his behalf will forever have to live with their decision to do so. I can't even imagine... Although I'm sure they didn't mean for this to happen, it did. They will probably never have a good night's sleep again. She probably haunts them relentlessly, if not in reality then in their minds. They should really be ashamed of themselves.
If you ask me he got off easy again. Monsters like him are the reason death penalties exist anywhere. If they let him out I believe his girls will be in real danger. What an absolute waste. My heart goes out to all those he inflicted suffering upon. May he never see the light of day again..
