From what I've been told, they do....but they call it a Grand Cherokee. Again, I've been told that to meet government automobile regulations FCA cant put a HEMI (V8) in a vehicle that has removable top and doors and fold down windshield. I have to believe something along those lines because I have no doubt that they would offer it as an option, because you have to remember that FCA is in business to make MONEY....and they would sell a lot of them no matter how much they marked them up. (=profit) I work for FCA, so I know they are all about wanting to make MONEY... I guess to test that theory we will see what FORD does with the new BRONCO as far as V8 engine options if it has removable doors and top. This is also coming from a guy getting ready to do a HEMI swap on his 2005 Jeep RUBICON...believe me I would much rather just buy one already built that way from the factory.
Really came out awesome, the whole build was great to watch and hear how you guys worked throughout the install. Thanks for a great set of videos. My favorite part is the finished product and the drive, awesome sound.
Man this is like a dream to me....I watched start to finish and it looks amazing love it. I totally agree with you that jeep needs to do a hemi...I have seen the ls swaps and it seem everyone does that but not the hemi....great job guys
@Joseph Bloe Maybe once they get those EV and hybrid models rolling they can figure something out. I just went with a Grand Cherokee, got all I need and a Hemi.
I’d love to see a fully optioned 2 door rubicon with all the goodies you want and need equipped from the factory, 8 speed auto, body colored fenders and hardtop, steel bumper group, LED light package, hard top headliner, underbody protection - you get the point - nothing aftermarket including wheels and tires, rubicon wheels and tires, with the 6.4liter hemi fully integrated. 8 speed Transmission would benefit from a tune in this application. I bet it would yield similar gas mileage to the 4 door JK Rubicon w/ the 5 speed auto and the 3.6 pentastar after the 8 speed was tuned and it’d probably hit 60 in under 4 seconds haha just imagine how insane that would be!
CJ Off-Road there is one there. I think it would be nice to you guys at the Indianapolis one in Sept. I would like to see it in person and I'm sure it would be a hit at the show.
Guys, great job on this build - it really did wrap up nicely! What auto rocker rails did you go with? Are you pleased with the rigidity, they don’t feel loose or weaker than expected?
Wait, y’all are in Daytona?!? I’m literally 10 mins away lol, I’m new to watching this channel, but I am planning on buying a jeep. Do y’all take clients, and would y’all be willing to preform an engine swap??
I currently have a 6.1L hemi Wrangler with the original air intake with the ugly plastic piece. is there any way I can get the part numbers that you used or buy them through you. I need the clamps, tube that the mass airflow sensor attaches to, the filter, and the 90 degree from the throttle. thanks for any info.
This is my dream. I am not mechanically inclined unfortunately so of course I am not able to do this myself :( do any shops even offer this that won’t cost over 20k including labor? 😅
Mopar has already stated why they will not put a Hemi into a Jeep. You lose all crash worthiness and that engine is going straight into the driving compartment in a front end collision. Also, thermals + heat issues, fuel economy, and the weight of the engine up front are all factors. It sounds cool and people that want to live with that can do the swap like you did. Otherwise, the V6 or a turbo 4 is best overall for trail riding and living with a Jeep every day.
What was total cost? When are you going to drag it against a hemi challenger? Excited to see it do a Ken Block 4 wheel dry pavement burn-out and power slide. If you need a real driver then let me know and I will put it thru it's paces for you :))
@@CJBroncoF150 Great vids, I am really excited to see what your hemi built JL can do performance wise, 400 pounds torque in that thing has got to amazing to drive. My most favorite vehicle I owned was a 98 Jeep Sahara with 222 lbs torque, 5 speed manual, with Teraflex lift offroad package, dana 44 rear-end and 33x12.50 tires, American racing wheels, living in Phoenix, the tires quickly turned into slicks and I would have it doing 4 wheel dry pavement slides around corners simply by down shifting from 4th to 2nd and punching it, it was an amazing in-line 6 with a K&N intake system. I sold it and regretted it ever since :))
Why can’t the 5.7 hemi come factory? It needs to be a $5k option. I know people would pay for it. The only thing holding me back from buying a jl are the engines. I’m tired of 4 cylinders and v6’s. I want a v8
From the research I've done, the reason why Jeep doesn't put V8's is due to crumple zones. That is the reason why they will not put a Hellcat engine in a Jeep even though it can fit.
Thanks for watching!
What is your favorite part about our build?
That rumble, that should be an option on every Jeep
Hard to pick one, but I love how you treated the vendor/sponsor stickers. All the same size and color. Makes it really clean.
Stock axles?
@@Ulfstigandr Agreed
@Inder Johal Thank you
Jeeps owners: Hey we’d really like a V8 option in the wranglers.
Jeep: great, here’s a turbo 4 cylinder

I'm glad you enjoyed the series, and thank you for the kind words!
Awesome piece of American machinery guys!!!! Fav part other than the engine is the wheel/tire combo 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
I love the wheel and tire combo as well!
I watched from start to finish - well done. One day, my JL will have a Hemi in it. Between now and then, I need to win the lottery! :)

Yeah its nice to have a Mopar in a Mopar. Thanks for watching
Awesome result mate. Congrats 😍
Thanks for following along!
Damn this is beautiful! Making me tear up listening to the engine
I just got a 2019. I can’t believe for the price of them they don’t offer a hemi.
Yeah, i also wish it would be a factory option!
Hemi 5.7 truck engine and vented seats should definitely be offered stock for the price.

Good color combo
One awesome Jeep!!!
Congrats. This is amazing. So what was the cost of doing this front to back for the engine swap?
Cost for us was roughly 15,000 without any labor included.
Great build ! What engine swap kit did u use and how much did it run you? ( minus engine and tranny cost )
Hey guys gr8 job on the swap 👍 you should try and build a Hell cat wrangler next 😎
Thats a good idea!

Love it just wish it was a 2 door manual
Great job Matt.
How can I get the instructions of swiping engine?
I WANT THAT JEEP, I WANT THAT JEEP
Amazing series! Time to hellcat swap lol 😂
Yes i'm ready for the hellcat !

Great looking. Nice project! Thanks and great job! Are you planing on making any 4 Wheel Drive Jamboree?

CJ Off-Road it is but there are only 3 this year. Indianapolis was the one I was talking about.
Great job guys

very nice
Who makes the rocker guards? Looks amazing!
Guys, great job on this build - it really did wrap up nicely!
What auto rocker rails did you go with? Are you pleased with the rigidity, they don’t feel loose or weaker than expected?
Kyle amp research power steps. they are very solid nice to install what great piece to have with the lifted jeep
Nice video
How much should I budget if I want to do that conversion?
I love it bro! I want a 5.7L Hemi in my JKUR. Is that possible? Your JL looks and sounds amazing 😎👊💪
It may be obvious to some of you, but I will ask anyway: is Hemi swap possible in 2.0T JL or is it only possible with 3.6 V6?
So is that a Dana 30 front since that's a jl sport? I think that torque and 37's is a stretch for 44's....you may be busy replacing parts.
great work guys ...whats next..?
Maybe a hellcat? Not sure yet haha
Fuckin A guys hemi 5.7 what a beast!
How much did all that set you back? That’s not a bad idea for a JL
Nice!

3.6 is plenty in my 19 two door.
A V8 is more of a want than a need. You can live without it unless you just really want it.

but for the money is this really worth it or something just to do because you can?
love to see the total cost by retail price
I gotta a question is it possible to fit a Toyota engine and transmission in a jeep??
So just asking. Why a Hemi vs like a Hellcat?
Josh we had a budget the hellcat was slightly out of budget.
How much would it cost to swap my 3.6 for a Hemi?
They said 15k not including labour.
@@MrHSIE Thank man ;-)
Do you think this swap will work on my JL 4 cylinder?
the Dakota custom website says the swap only works with the 3.6 but a 4 cylinder is in the works

I have a question sense im just know viewing this video why did u put a truck engine in it but replace all the parts to the car version
we got the engine on a great deal and decided at that point it was cheaper to swap parts then buy a car engine.
Stock axles ?

Why doesn't jeep offer this? Makes no sense. A jeep with a 5.7 hemi be incredible..be a whole new generation of jeeps. Jeep wake up and do this.
How different is the fuel economy?
Heaps Vince
What are the wheels?
which trans did u use? stock?
stock transmission
what mpg did it get
What would you say should be a modest budget for this type of swap?
To do it yourself i would say 15-20k for a shop it would be around 30k
Stock axles??
