Thanks for this series of good videos. At 6:35 you say that you will show how to program the amount of hot water and cappucino being dispensed but this does not happen. I am interested in the latter, because machine I have is programmed for macchiato and only does a short burst of frothed milk. I would like to set it to manual, where I could start and stop the amount as I choose.
Hello, Very informative video. I've recently replaced my Saeco Digital Plus with another identical unit that I scored. However, I can't seem to get the crema that I got with my 18000+ coffee machine. The coffee comes out with only a thin layer of crema that disappears in 15 seconds. My grinder is set on 4 and the dosage is set on the 2nd highest to the + position. Is there something else I need to do? Cheers

Regarding your question, there could be a couple of issues. 1- The grinder may need to be adjusted finer if you cannot do this from the external lever, then you may need to open the machine to adjust it internally. The small lever that adjusts the coffee may have come free from the grinder and is not adjusting the grinder even if the lever under the grinder is moving. 2- In the brew unit, there is a small ball that sits on a spring that vibrates to make the crema. This could be missing. Please see the image below where you can find the ball. Hi Nicu, for stronger coffee flavour is recommended using the dose settings all the way up to the ( + ) mark and the grinder settings closer to the finest settings on the grinder adjustment.

Worked it out myself. One just have to hold the button pressed for longer to engage programming mode.
