I hate how these women who help their husbands commit crimes tend to get lesser sentences when most of them are just as evil and vindictive.

Absolutely man, I was legit fist-pumping when Mike got to that part. Her date did exactly what she *should've* done, what she had SOOO many opportunities to do - go to the police. Refusing to "snitch" doesn't make you some great folk hero, it doesn't make you someone to be admired; on the contrary, it makes you a coward, and it makes you complicit in whatever crime is being committed as well as partially responsible for its outcome.
Can you only imagine to have hear her talking before thinking to yourself WTF is this sitting next to me. And good thing the police took him serious and wired the car.

It's kind of terrifying to see this average unassuming Kindergarten teacher and actually know _she's a monster._ You just never know who you are really talking to. She wasn't a kindergarten teacher. She worked at a preschool. Kindergarten teachers have to have credentials like a university degree required for licensing.

Kinda reminds of Andrea Sneiderman who decided to testify at the criminal trial as opposed to her lawyer’s advice and eventually got caught giving inconsistent statements showing that she may have something to do with her husband’s murder and it was not just the lover guy who did it. Mike covered that story too and unfortunately, she was set free after serving only 22 months and rest of 5 years as a probation.
I am so glad that Cynthia's date went to the police. That says a lot about his character. ❤️ And it shows that he's rehabilitated after having done a few mistakes.

Her date was so clever while getting her to talk. The way he knew he had to make her talk about the weapon, but he worded it in a way that didn't obviously sound like he was trying to make her talk about it. Making it sound like part of the conversation. Good on him for going to the cops about it and being willing to get that recording.
He’s a bartender. I’m sure he listened to enough BS in his current profession. And knows the right words to say to carry on an amiable conversation. Soft skills 😉

You know, the Good Lord works in mysterious ways. Maybe having been on the other side of police questioning in the past gave him the skills required to interrogate Cindy without her realising it. But what a champ, getting that highly detailed story out of her and thus ensuring that *both* of the people responsible for Angila’s death will never again be free.

really shows you once again to not judge a book by its cover. she seemed really genuine when she said, crying, that her husband would never do that. also she has a really round, friendly, innocent looking face. was hard to imagine the psychopath in that car-recording was her. crazy how some people can be behind closed doors. always be careful whom you meet, and whom you allow into your life. Also how can someoene have this much hatred for somebody else? Even if it's your spouses ex or whatever. "It needed to be done", some people really do be delusional.
A little over a year ago My older Brothers wife died of complications with stomach cancer. That left him all alone. His wife did everything for him cook clean and anything technical so he was sort of a helpless 67 year old. He was very lonely so I called him every chance I could since he lived about 300 miles away. About 6 months ago I introduced him to "That Chapter". He began to watch it regularly and He would say to me "lets give it a go" he really was enjoying your shows. Unfortunately he didn't answer the phone one day. I began to call him and no answer. I called his son and told him I couldn't reach him. Sadly he was found unresponsive in his bed. The autopsy revealed an overdose of pain killers. I am glad that he wasn't in pain when he died. Now he is resting in Peace.(RIP) Since then I am enjoying your stories alone. Just like my brother, I enjoy the way you explain your stories Mike. Thank you for giving him a little joy in his life before he died.

Christopher seemed totally broken, and to be on Anti Depression medication at the trial hope he and all the children recover.
Great that the guy Cynthia was seeing went to Cops, so often many don't especially those with past criminal offences, I hope he got great support for his part, who knows what that Woman would do next time she had an issue with someone, she clearly gives it a lot of thought, she thought just because of his past the Guy would keep her secrets, she is clearly the more dangerous out of the two of them, when comes to reoffending she is high risk.
Glad she got the same sentence as her reason was pure Jealousy not even custody like him, the fact that he kept saying her last words were "I Love You" are very telling, bookies would not even take a bet, that he constantly compared Cynthia to Angila this would have pissed her off no end, as there is no way she would ever be anything resembling the Amazing Human Angila clearly was, Cynthia decided best way to deal is resolve the problem was to wind her inadequate Richie up to kill her, she clearly would have murdered Angila herself if he had not done it.
Takes no imagination to think of her starting to lead Richie the Arsehole to a point where he thought he came to decision to kill Angela, it was Cynthia that put this all in motion, she is clearly a bigger bully than he is, this was why there is no repeat in the pattern of abuse, that a normal woman like Angila suffered at hands of Richie, he was no match for a woman like Cynthia, he did not even report her part in the crime once she started seeing other men, probably because she held threat of access and safety of the children over him, to continue her control of him, why else would a guy like him report her part like, many men usually do when Female partner in crime starts up with other men

Honestly, it's kind of comical seeing someone say that the person they conspired with to commit murder was sloppy, but then goes and loudly blabs every single detail of what their plan was to another person. Thats like one of the first rules is you never speak of the crime to anyone.
Yes but He made her Trust him though, i imagine when you do stuff like that you have this urge to confide in someone that you trust. He betrayed her when he went to the police. Maybe the "right" thing to do, but still a betrayal of her love and trust, which she did Not expect.
Everything about this was sloppy. If you're the most obvious suspect after committing the murder, you should at least try to make it look like an accident. Or better yet: don't fucking murder people. So many idiots on this planet.

I’ve seen a few people online call him and say he’s inappropriate when doing his videos because it’s disrespectful on the dead because of the jokes he cracks but I always put them right and explain it’s called dark humour. It’s not taking anything away from the victims. It’s always jokes about the perp not the victim and he’s bringing awareness it’s satire/sarcasm and some people just aren’t clever enough to get it x
When I heard "without the possibility of parole" I did a little happy dance. Unfortunately, victims and their families usually don't get this sort of justice, it's amazing how minimal some non-parole periods are.
Terrifying that Cindy had been working with children and Richie had been working with the elderly... the 2 most vulnerable kind of people for monsters like them.
Thankfully he was fired ... He pushed an elderly man at the hospital, but imagine what he did and nobody ever found out.

My ex was abusive and controlling. All my family and friends were 'liars' and I didn't need them. So I saw where this was going and got pissed. He saw I was pissed, police saw I was pissed. Ended up having him charged with trespassing. He got a month in jail and a two year restraining order. He has never talked to me again. Don't be afraid to get angry or mad. Don't be afraid to hurt his 'feelings' because he doesn't give two craps for your feelings!

I love how the whole time that cop was holding onto the nugget that he'd watched Christopher on camera all night just so Richie could dig himself deeper before finally going "I'm about to end this man's whole career..."

My heart goes out to Christopher. It seems like he and Angela were building a nice life together, and they had a lot to look forward to. Cynthia is probably worse than Richie in the sense that she was not even emotionally entangled in the matters that led to the murder (not that there is any excusable reason on Richie's part). Even after all was said and done, she only regretted that Richie was too emotional in committing the murder which led to him being caught. No remorse, no sympathy for the kids who lost their mother, nothing. I think that is why she got such a strong sentence for her role. She's just a sh*t human who's wasted the rest of her life.
Was hard to watch how broken Christopher was at trial! Hope he is getting all the help he needs. As for the kids, do we know where they are? Are they with Chris or her family? I pray their not in the system. 🙏🏽 they lost both parents, hope they are also being well looked after ❤️

Hopefully they have extended family on their mom’s side. Lately, there has been a push to shield children victims from the public knowing their names, whereabouts, etc, to prevent them from having their trauma constantly brought up. All we, as strangers, can and should do, is hope they’re doing alright, or donate to a family fundraiser for more recent cases.

I don't know how stupid you can be to talk to your possible future partner about being involved with murdering someone but I'm glad she did. Hats off to that dude reporting her and the judge laying out to her how disgusting her behaviour was.
Her candor about the murder was due to (1) a complete lack of remorse/guilt and (2) her being a poor judge of character by assuming her new boyfriend was just as unethical as her husband.

The way Mike puts the murderer's ridiculous story/lie into a comical perspective, is what keeps me coming back for more.
Listening to that recording makes me wonder if she was actually the one instigating her husband to murder his ex-wife. He had to be that type of individual to do it...as she said...out of hatred and rage, but she was the one regularly stalking the victim, sounded so calculated in planning, and in contrast to her husband she was not trying to shift blame. Even claimed she was trying to sound "cool". It would definitely simplify her life if his ex-wife was out of the picture.

Such a feeling of content when she got life bc she didn't want 25yrs. We've seen that similar sentencing in another case too just a little while back.
Life without the possibility of parole. If she got 25 years, she could've been out in 12.5 years with good time in state prison.
When I hear about cases like this one I can't help to hope there is a hell because no punishment on earth will be harsh enough for these two. Hearing her talk about how proud she was of her husband? Thank God the man she was with owned a soul, went to the police, and then the questions he asked her gave her no way out of a conviction, good job unnamed hero.

I SO called it when I saw her crocodile tears after Richy's hearing! I thought "there is not enough emotion and those tears are forced." Good on the dude who reported her and got her caught. His acting was phenomenal and the verdict of life without parole was the best outcome. That chick is a psycho, just like her POS partner.

Before his conviction, he could not testify against her (or her him) without jumping through a lot of hoops of "consent", and even that is a risk most prosecutors won't take unless they have to - and also after his conviction similar limitations apply. It's not worth the effort for such a "minimal" criminal conviction, if you can succeed in getting one in the first place. In a lot of jurisdictions, it wouldn't even be a felony, but a misdemeanor.
Tbh Cindy’s initial statement about standing by her “innocent” bf smelled fishy to me and i thought i was being unfair in my head...but it turns out i got a true hunch and that woman is as evil as they come. =/ “happy” rotting to those little selfish devils...

I appreciate Mike's lack of filler material that a TV show would insert into a story like this. They'd repeat stuff after every commercial break and drag a 25 min show out to an hour. With Mike we get a short and sweet story with a few corny jokes thrown in. I always enjoy a Mike video.
I agree. That's why I hate Netflix crimeshow because they would have probably interviewd the boyfriends boss at Walmart, the janitor at their appartement and their kindergarten teachers, just to stretch this sweet short story out to a 6 episode series 🙄
A few years ago I saw a short video of a speeding train that looked like it was about to smash into something (maybe a truck I can’t remember). There were multiple different camera angles of it and intense, suspenseful music. But it was edited as a loop. It just kept showing the train about to smash into something and it never happened. Reminded me of those godawful TV crime shows.

The unborn baby wasn't really mentioned after that so forgot, but that just makes it even worse than it is. At least both of them had the book thrown at them.
Yeah that was a man in great pain and filled with alot of anger. I feel awful for him, that is absolutely horrible. I say they should of got the death penalty and the sentence handed out right after the verdict
