To commemorate 4 1/2 seasons of Gossip Girl, and more importantly, Dair, I have compiled to be what I THINK are the best 30 Dair moments thus far. I define a "moment" as being either a scene that best defines their relationship or a significant turning point in their relationship, and a "moment" can entail 2-3 different scenes that are all tied together in some way.

30. "Blair Waldorf Must Pie" 1.09
You can't have an ending without a beginning :) Plus I love that Blair's first words to Dan were to keep his hands off Serena.
29. "The Wild Brunch" 1.02 & "Blair Waldorf Must Pie" 1.09

28. "Damien Darko" 4.13
One of the few times that Dan back stabs Blair. Gotta love their little physical fights.
27. "Much I Do About Nothing" 1.18
The first time Dan turns to Blair for help.
26. "The Kids Are Not Alright" 4.12
I like how they both know each other so well & call each other out on their weaknesses.
25. "Last Tango Then Paris" 3.22
One of the many talks that will proves to be much more significant to THEIR relationship, than either can realize.
24. "The Unblairable Lightness of Being" 3.18
See Dan, she is not that bad.
23. "The Kids Are Not Alright" 4.12
I know this scene has no Dan/Blair interaction per se, but it is very important to note how Blair views Dan. She "hates" him but is still able to recognize that he is a good man. She sees something in him that Serena doesn't.
22. "The Townie" 4.11
The awkward moment when they realize they like the same things!
21. "Gaslit" 4.10
As much as I hated the Juliet story arc, it is what brought Dan & Blair together in the first place. This scene has many gems. Blair apologizes to Dan which RARELY happens. Plus the hint of a grin on Dan's face at the end is just the cherry on top :)

They had SO MUCH buildup and they represent different worlds. If this was a romantic comedy, you KNOW they'll be endgame. But it's a drama huhuhuhuhu

No it's not lol - she's his former & recent bully, Blair is toxic to him, uses him... I liked them for a second, but let's not kid ourselves that they're healthy lol.
I wanted Dan and Blair together since very first season! Their chemistry was unmatchable compared to other couples!
Fara Bushra you are right. The only thing chuck and blair had was ground breaking emotional scenes after another and that really got old after season 3. We saw dan and blair's chemistry growing by actually seeing them acting around another in basic activities. While chuck and blair was pretty much always telling people that they love eachother. The good scenes of chuck and blair stopped at season 3.
Yes. Maybe after first season Dan/Blair would be interesting. Maybe in season 3, but they ruined it. Dan was an ass in late seasons and most Gossip Girl plot was a mess.

I think that the great thing about Dan/Blair dating is that we don't lose that friendship factor. They still do the same things they did when they were just friends (go to movies, discuss art, banter/bicker). Except now they have no problem being seen together ;) cause they're in loooooooooovvvveeeee

I can not believe that they turn Dan in such ass*** just to justify Blair end up with Chuck. The relationship (Dair) was constructed since the first season, they both had a working personality and truly fight for they future.
In the end, Chuck miraculosly became a good "bad" guy, and Serena... please, like in the begin, winned all without no effort at all.
It was very sad, cause I've watch this since I was a teenager, I grow up with those characters, and it was... im very dissapointed (but not surprised)...

It’s a CW thing I think. Vampire Diaries did the same thing with Damon and Elena. Cared more about fan service than portraying a good relationship.

Dan and Blair should've ended up together. The fact the show literally went down the toxic route with Chuck/Blair shows how much the show caved to fan fiction rather than good story with good character development.

BoaSky you’re just proving their point. chuck and blair would only actually work out in a fan fiction for children which is what the age of most of their fans are. in reality dan and blair would have ended up together, that’s what GOOD writing would do. that’s called character development and complexity.

the realist and healthiest relationship on the show.
They are the most beautifully established lovers on the show. Their build-up was beautiful. Dan loved her so much. He loved her more than Serena, I can say. So intense, so deep.
I heard the actor who played Dan STILL believes that Dan's true love was Blair and never Serena.

the fact that they all ended up with the same people they were with in season 1 just shows how little character development there was in this dumb show. i still can't believe they threw away the most genuine and honest relationship that is dair, for the most toxic ones. disgusting. dair was the real endgame.
Dan and Blair... Idk. They just sort of were forced in my opinion in season 4 and 5.
The Fuck? Not really. They started to get closer pretty early on, but they kept up with the whole banter relationship. And you don't really have to think about it to know they have more in common with each other than they do with anyone of the other characters.
karyn completely agree them splitting up made no sense at all since there was 1: no reason for it and 2: the build up to it was the only good thing about season 5 that actually made sense
It would've made so much sense for Dan to hook up with either Vanessa or Nelly Yuki (remember her?). They're the only people who really accepted Dan as who he was. Serena should've hooked up with Nate since everything would've come full circle. And of course, Blair and Chuck are the perfect couple.

his face at 9:54 is probably the most sexy face I've seen from him. Blair really brings out his intoxicating side
it's sad to think about but I'm sure the writers had a different vision than the loudest of "fans". pretty much everything in later seasons point to them making dair endgame - the slow/steady buildup, more effort put into their scenes and dialogue and a positive depiction of their mutual trust and respect in contrast to the occasional sleazy hookup scenes between chuck or a guy/blair that kind of show blair having a relapse every now and then from her journey of maturing.
I'm sad they did not get to end that character journey like they wished and had to succumb to fanservice, because watching dan and blair learning from each other and finding someone at their level (+that banter!!!) was so wonderful.
season 6 was one of the laziest and most forced conclusions to a tv show, so I just pretend it never happened lol.
Ly Leroy Same thing happened with Vampire Diaries with Elena and Damon. The writers really ruined that once good show with that relationship

If gossip girl is real life, I’m pretty sure dan and blair would have been end game or blair and dan would have come back to one another cause their relationship was healthy and that’s what most of us wants in life right? For the long run at least

People may call Dan and Blair polar opposites but they are actually the same. They both want power. Maybe they started at different levels, but they both aspired for and in the end got power. Chuck and Serena on the other hand have power. They could never understand Dan and Blair till they lost their power. Nate however just wants peace😂.

When i summarize events from season 1 up to 5 there's no doubt in my mind who I approve of to be with B.
Dan is simply good for Blair. She is glowing with positive energy whenever she's with him. And Dan's ways of negating Blair's self pity are very effective.The times they were together, Blair hasn't schemed her way into getting wat she wants like that job they had in W (like she always does).
But wen Chuck is involved, im alwys afraid that Blair wll get into a mess that'll scar her more.
Number 21 should easily be in the top 3. The set up for it was amazing. The way she walks into his loft like a boss, and the fact that she went to BROOKLYN to get him to help her. That scene is amazing and I hate how the show ruined their friendship in season 6.

In every series, there’s a season where the “endgame couple” go separate ways after being horribly toxic and get the girl gets involved with a guy who is a much better person and treats them infinitely better. That man always loses the girl because healthy is presented as boring and lacking in comparison.
In Gossip Girl, that couple was Dan and Blair. They went from enemies to friends and then friends to lovers. They had interests in common and differences they respected. They were the real goals of this series. Its a shame the writers threw all that away.
Love them as a couple cuz they had that spark between them as the always tried to not believe the truth

I like how they are pretty opposite of eachother but they also have a lot of similarities. They were so compatible as a couple and the writers missed a good opportunity.

I seriously love Blair. She's hilarious, and my favorite character.
Their friendship was so pure. It was really amazing how they watched movies and read books together, and especially how dan helped Blair after her and Chuck's accident, how he helped her recover and supported her when she didn't know her baby daddy. They're relationship was ruined by adding a Romantic side to it, their friendship was one of the best on the show.
I liked them as friends. I was happy when they were getting closer together, because they made a good team, but it should have ended at that.

I disagree. They had a healthy relationship even when they dated. Chuck wanted her because he saw her as his possession and someone who loved/put up with his flaws despite everything he did to her. Chair had no substance
Their season 4 banter was so fucking good. Can you image if this show aired today? Chucky would not have lasted very long, and we would have gotten the right endgame. SMH Gossip Girl writers and CW, good job at feeding and perpetuating the rape culture our society has lived and continues to live in today.
I like both Dair and Chair, though I have to admit Dan deserved Blair more than Chuck ever would. Then again, I know that even though Chuck did these terrible things to her, so did she to him, so in my mind its not only Chuck's fault why their relationship was so disfunctional. The guy wasn't a total jerk though, he DID feel ashamed of what he did and apologized which is far more than what any immature guy would've done. Give him some credit, it's not like he didn't feel guilty about it.

Without Dan's help, I dont think Blair would be able to survive season 4-5's fiasco. She didn't run to Serena for this one, but to Dan. That's gotta mean a lot, right?
In the long run, Blair's gotta need a stable guy like Dan to help her get through hard stuff like these.

I just wished they could've made Dair romance last a bit longer and gave Chair a rest for a bit because they were really great together and Chair just kept going in circles it was kinda annoying they should have given Dan and Blair more time to shine for at least a season and a half it ended so quick. Although, I do think Chuck and Blair were meant they had the best chemistry on the show. But Serena and Dan? I don't think they should've ended up together I think their High School romance was it for me. (They were really cute in season one) But I think Serena should've ended up with Ben Donovan and Dan should've ended up with a stranger or someone

You know what, I really want to be able to witness a time when Blair actually stops calling Dan "Humphrey". I mean I know it's an affectionate nickname of sorts but I think that would nicely signify the end of that period of their relationship and the beginning of their new one, in whatever form it shall be.
