Excellent . Warm up mini tour for full By your Side tour (opening night was Eagles Ballroom Milwaukee on Feb 11 1999}. *They played the small club side of Eagles Ballroom (the "Rave") about a month before the video above . Incendiary shows--Chris was moving again. Audley was excellent .
@@gsoltis29 I met Ed a few years after the above ....I managed a hotel . Ed talked with me about the "Who killed that bird..." film and legendary Atlanta Piedmont Park '92 show (I was there ). He said it was his video /film that was used for that and the "Sting me" video. such a nice sweet guy....
Thx for Nostalgia, Mate! !!! Wtf is wrong with some Cameramen? Filming the wrong Guitarist playing Lead and never on the Fretboard.... I don´t get it...Especially Audley Freed is soooo amazing! What a Tone! Love the Crowes..
Probably the most awkward time for the band. Chris was literally trying to will them to be sold on stage night after night with the exact same setlists. You could tell it was a marketing approach for money. Fizzled out and got old by '99. The haircut and Liza Minnelli outfits only compounded the forced, awkward phase. Yikes!
it was old in 10 minutes. But Audley Freed made it interesting for me. Most of the songs are shit though. Right up to the end, they couldnt figure out how to write another decent tune. I really enjoyed the 'Lions' tour because of the sheer volume and Audley Freed. After that hiatus and Hookah Brown, the Crowes seemed like the mild hot sauce that really wasnt great. The alternative was going to a Strokes concert or something....
william middlemiss I still would have preferred he stayed with cry of love 😉. I did like lions also. There are some great songs on there but also some stinkers 😂
When I heard Columbia and Kevin Shirley I knew what to expect unfortunately. Nine lives meets exile on Main Street 😂. Although I did like Kevin's mix on the drums for the Greek album.
@@gsoltis29 If there was ANY trace of Exile it would be awesome. It sounds like car commercial music. I LIKE Virtue and Vice, but it is the soundtrack to the greatest car commercial ever aired!
Sounds great! Love how Eddie is mixed high.
Always appreciated that. He and the background ladies bring so much to the songs when they're strong in the mix.
Eddie was a helluva guy !
Cool. Love this period of the Crowes..
This is amazing Chris sounds so good. I ❤Ed!

I thought the first show was in new haven at toads for this warm up. At least that is how they sold it to us 😂
@@gsoltis29 Maybe was; I was just saying opening night was Milwaukee. Great shows weren't they!
Kitty Kitty Boom Boom yes! I tried to give my bands CD to a few guys from the crew and band. The only guy who took it was Ed. What a good dude he was.
I saw them in 98 in Athens Ga warming up Great show

I love this band, totally original real R&R. No frills. 💗
Awesome watching it for the third time in a row!!!
👏👏👏
Awesome! I used to have this music channel on tv. Had a lot of rock videos and a lot of concerts. Great memories :)
This is amazing I've listened to this a thousand times since you put this video out
nice and great band of the 90's
Love it👍🖤🎶🎵✌️➖
Lol "I'm Hansel and this is my brother Gretel" - Rich looked pleased
This was a very loud tour. My ears rang for 3 days after catching the show in San Diego

It’s only Rock n Roll but I like it ❤yes do
feling good@15:18
Parabéns pelo canal!!! sensacional!
voces não tem o show de 1995 no Hollywood Rock Brasil? Abriram o show de Jimmy Page e Robert Plant???
They cut Thorn in half!
How is the guitar player?
Remedy energetic performance but prefer guitar driven version (less piano} and fellas singing backup.
Keys to loud in the mix
Is it me or are speaking not English??????
Worst mix ever.
hha, at times. othertimes a great band is playing over half assed material
bandwidth on a tv broadcast isnt going to be anywhere near hifi tho
Horrible
It really is. At the time it felt like a high energy club gig, but they kept on with this for the next 18 months. Just brutal.

from here up to the end, I mean. pre 97 I can get into the songwriting. not always the arrangements, but its all opinion
