- The Black Crowes live 6th of december 1992 in Zeleste club, Barcelona.
First visit of the Crowes to Spain. Awesome concert, full of energy. Very motivated audience of about 2000 people. Excellent Marc Ford on lead guitar.

This lineup is one of the best rock n roll bands ever. marc ford is soooo fucking good my favorite player of all time. Saw him twice with the band I feel privileged. Saw them with Luther and Jackie but Marc was the best.

Right, that was the "High as the Moon" tour, just after they released "The Southern Harmony...". I was lucky to be there that night, an impressive concert! In my opinion the best lineup of the Black Crowes, with a straight rock'n'roll attitude. And with the great Marc Ford. The Catalonia TV recorded and broadcasted the show, I had it on VHS and now you have it on RUclips. Thanks and enjoy!

Early Crowes were iconic.
I have never seen a lead singer so obviously enjoy performing more than Christopher Mark Robinson. There will never be another singer as great.

Wow...recuerdo ese concierto. Tuve la suerte de ir. Pero a medio show, estando cerca del escenario, me desmayé por el calor que hacía. Dos chicos me sacaron de allí a rastras. Nunca pude agradecérselo, así que ¡Gracias, chicos! También recuerdo que al terminar el concierto, esperamos fuera. Salieron, se subieron al autocar, y aparecieron en el techo. Tocaron una última canción subidos al techo del autocar. ¡Tremendos! He tenido la suerte de volverlos a ver este año y ha sido, sin duda, uno de los mejores conciertos a los que he ido. Larga vida a los Crowes!
De acuerdo de los mejores de Rock clasico . Yo los vi la ultima vez en el 2023 en Buenos Aires , tambien un verano muy caluroso , pero no me desmaye 😂🤘🎸

The band really got to firing on all eight on this tour. As good as everyone is, it occurs to me Johnny Colt May very-well go down as one of the world’s most underrated musicians.
Does it get any better than this. The Black Crowes in their prime.....amazing live performance....

@@w0bbl3r They weren't anywhere near their prime 25 years in. If it wasn't for Jimmy Page that flame would have burned out even earlier. They were as good as anybody their first 8 years.
@@da324 Not sure what you mean? Do you mean it took OVER 25 years to reach their prime? Or that they hit their prime much earlier than I said?
Their prime were the Marc Ford years of course.
But their flame has never burned out at all. They have had some low spots, but they have still always been better than most other bands around, especially next to new bands and "musicians" today.
Lions was an awesome album, as was the live Brothers of a Feather album. Before the frost.... and ...until the freeze were really good albums, but I would consider them to be a low point.
Croweology was a nice new take on some of their classic songs, but again a bit of a low point for me. But Warpaint was another great album, very underrated.
Of course this is all a matter of personal opinion. I'm just really lucky because it just always works out that my opinion is the right opinion, every single time :)
@@w0bbl3r I took your initial post to imply they were still as good 25 years in as they were in their prime. I don't agree with that. I do, however, agree that their best years were the MF years.
And you did, this a decent quality considering it is a VHS.
Is not the case of this video, but I always miss my long hair and beard when I watch Black Crowes playing live, listen to them just bring good memories to me, even I started listen to them after my 25 years I remember my teenage, my friends, my first love, my fisrt hangover a very special moments.

back in this time. Women would have done fighting cats and dogs at their concerts to get backstage to Mark Ford and not just to talk to him if you get my drift and to get to Rich Johnny Colt and the rest of the band what an to be able to share Mark Ford's bed

Well, there's no DVD or official release. I recorded it on videotape from the TV broadcasting some days after the concert. Recently I found it at home and converted it to digital in my computer. Then I tried to upload it to RUclips with a decent quality...
These guys were really on top of things @ this point in their history.

Chris is always full on with his vocals, never really abides by the build the song up slowly thing, amazed at his stamina then and now!!
Now it seems like he has more voice, I saw him in Buenos Aires and he sings very well.

Let me correct myself. I love Marc Fod, I actually started listening to him after he left the Crowes. I hated Robinson's glorification of coke and dope, and whenever I heard anything by them I turned them off,I think he in my opinion is overrated and arrogant. I am thankful for what he is doing now as a solo artist with Vineyard and his various projects

These guys were a great blues rock band at the beginning, channeling the Stones and Faces, a very tight rockin sound. When they went hippie jam band, I lost interest.

Why this singer never sings the song loyal to the studio version? he always changes everything!! when sister luck came he did'nt sang on the last chorus and sang together with solo!! I prefer Crowes songs on studio.

Just don’t get the Marc Ford thing - countless bad / wrong notes, painful bending sharp. Ugh. Sounds like he’s playing a different song to the rest of the band most of the time‘cause he’s so wasted. Although he does have attitude & looks good. Terrible guitar playing though.
the best line up is with Luther Dickinson, Ford was /is a great guitarist but cannot hold a candle to Luther , going to see the soon kinda bummed Luther is gone but Jackie Greene should hold his own

LS up until the plane crash were as good as anybody. The Black Crowes from 1990-1997 were as good as anybody.
